This was our first time to The Wing Shack and we ordered 4 orders of wings. The wings were big, crispy, juicy, and the flavours were delicious! I would highly recommend trying this place. 1 pound of wings for $11.99 is pretty good value too. A++

True local hidden gem! We found this amazing wing shack and would recommend this to everyone and anyone. They have a great selection 69 flavours from the classics to some more unique options. We got the Banff, Montreal-Canadian and honey garlic and was absolutely blown away. We’ve never had such well fried wings and fries. The balance of crisp and sauce on this wings are hard to come by. The Banff is a butter chicken sauce with pineapple topping is my personal favourite and the Montreal Canadian is like a maple sweet wing with a spicy kick. You can genuinely taste how the sauce in made in house and perfected. Each order is made to go so they are fresh and hot. The owner and staff were extremely welcoming. While you eat you get a fantastic view of cascade mountain. And the best surprise is it’s price. You are getting such a great value making it worth the drive out of the main part of town. 10/10 can’t wait to come back, wish I found this at the beginning of my trip.

Sooo happy I found this hidden gem by chance on our last day in Banff. The restaurant is located in an industrial area of Banff (may look sketchy for some people and off the tourists' attractions) but the food there is amazing. We had the doritos chicken burger and 1 pound of wings. The doritos chicken burger was very good. The meat was so big, it was overflowing from the bread (have you ever eaten a burger with the patty/meat being bigger than the bread? I never did!). The doritos taste was light but just tasty enough to give a special kick to the burger. The chicken was perfectly fried and crunchy. For the chicken wings, they have 69 different flavours (you get to choose 1 flavour/pound of wings). We went for the Montreal Canadiens sauce (which we were told to be honey garlic, maple syrup and sriracha, for a sweet and [very mildly] spicy taste). I've never liked chicken wings as I always thought they are rip off, but these ones are HUGE, FRIED and SO TASTY. We highly recommend this restaurant for anyone who visits Banff and likes fried chicken. So far the best we've ever had, and the prices are very fair. The cashier was also very nice and friendly which made the whole experience perfect. Definitely will come back if we ever visit Banff again.

(Banff Location) Great wings that are all equal parts tasty, crispy, crunchy, juicy - and all for great prices, considering most Banff restaurants are more pricey. For sure recommend taking a chance on the local wings/fan favorites, as they have some unique and savory flavors. I had the Montreal Canadien wings which were sweet and spicy. The taste brings a mix of sweet maple syrup contrasted with a low-to-mild spice. The chicken burger is decently large, with a juicy crunch for every bite (and nice Swiss cheese). All the fries are good too ! Parking is quite easy, as you can park either right in front of the store or just on the street beside/across from it, then just walk over. It's a quiet area to enjoy good without all the of the crowding of main parts of the Banff tourist area. The owner is very kind and attentive to making sure customer's needs are met. If you're coming through Banff, try this out to change up from some of pricey restaurants and still get some good eats !

When it comes to take away/take out/carry out there is no better place in Banff than wing shack and I stand by that claim! Deliciously moist chicken wings and legs, with flavour packed toppings, sometimes sweet, sometimes cripsy, sometimes spicy - you literally can’t go wrong. Our go to deal (which is unbeatable tbh) is the 3 pounds of wings, 2 sides and 4 drinks for something like $36. Between two of us, we get 6 meals out of this which is pretty awesome value! Highly recommend the flavours Calgary Flames (sweet with a some serious heat), spicy Cajun (crispy battered chicken with a spicy coating), honey Thai, the Cajun fries and wedges. We’ve also tried the chicken burger and fries and I’m still recovering from my food coma from that experience, it’s bloody huge. They deliver to Banff so it’s a go to Friday night takeaway treat for us and there is a Canmore option too I believe. Highly recommend!

After a long day on the trails, I didn’t want to mess with all the crowds in downtown Banff. I’m so glad I stumbled across Alberta Wing Shack. The chicken sandwich and Cajun fries were seriously better than the $100 steak I had the night before at one of the fancy Banff restaurants. Customer service could not have been any better. Had a great conversation with the owner about traveling and he gave me some great tips for the next leg of my journey. If you want really good food at very reasonable prices, outstanding service, and no crowds or parking to worry about, you can’t go wrong here.

This food is really underrated, everyone should definitely be hitting this place up!! The service was excellent and the food quality was amazing. On top of all that, the prices were very reasonable. I'll for sure come back!

Banging chicken, amazing price for the quality of food. The Doritos chicken is so big/delicious for only 9$. Wait time a little long but for the size of the kitchen and how packed it become after I order it was very reasonable. Would recommend.

Cozy dining atmosphere! The Cajun fries are some of the best fries I've ever had, bar none. Dining outside the view of the mountain is phenomenal!

Chicken was delicious and paired with a beautiful view of the mountains. Owner was very welcoming and friendly. Ordered the 1 pound fan favourite Vancouver Canucks garlic Parmesan wings with regular fries. Price was good for the amount, and it was easy to find parking. Will come back again for sure.

“The People’s Wing Shack.” Delicious wings. Speedy service. Affordable pricing. This is the ultimate place to check out for an after hike meal. Plus you’ll be escaping the busy crowds of downtown Banff, and get beautiful views while enjoying a spectacular meal. Highly, highly recommended.

One of the best fried wings I’ve had. On first impressions, I thought this wouldn’t be great considering the location and the exterior of the shop. I even said I wouldn’t want to eat here as I’ve had many bad experiences with such venues. I was so wrong. Upon entering the shop, I was impressed by the menu presentation. Simple, clean and modern, almost like a fast food chain. The place is ran by a Sri Lankan who has been in Canada for many years. A pound of wings goes for $12 CAD. We went with 2 lbs, a sweet and spicy sauce as well as garlic parm. I enjoyed the latter more. Definitely give this place a shot if you’re passing by the area, you won’t regret it.

As we ventured into the darkness we thought we took a turn into the unknown in search of the elusive Wing Shack; but was delighted that the destination proved to be worth the journey! Friendly owner and the # of flavours… endless! We ordered combo #2 which provided us sustenance of 2 pounds of wings, large fries and 2 drinks. We ordered Honey Garlic and fan favourite Vancouver Canucks -Garlic Parmesan 🤤 these wings were on roids I swear as they were large and in charge! Juicy and packed with flavour😋 hands down one of the best honey garlic sauces I’ve ever had! Not only was this meal fulfilling, our leftover wings made for a delicious snack two days later. I highly recommend seeking out Alberta Wing Shack 👍🏻👍🏻

One of the best fried chicken places I’ve been to (and I’m from Toronto). The prices are reasonable and the portions are generous. We ordered the honey garlic wings (1lb) for dine-in and the chicken fingers (4 pieces) to go. I highly recommend coming here while in Banff. We visited this place twice during our trip and wished we discovered it sooner!

Would definitely go back to this place. Prices are on the lower end side and they have the best burger, I have tried the Doritos burger and honey garlic wings which is yummy!!! The store owner was really nice. We came in about 10 minutes before closing but they still got our order right to perfection. They have a good selection of wings as well. This area is away from Banff Downtown but definitely worth the drive. We have a new favourite place in town for wings. YEHEEEYYYY!!!
