Such a hidden gem in Banff. Smash burger and Alpines Peppermint Tea with the gorgeous view without loads of tourists as we might have been overwhelmed in other mountain top locations. All staff in the restaurant are super efficient and friendly. Can’t beat the price in Banff where everything is pricey.

Im not going to lie, the whole reason to go up here is for the views! They are unlike anything u will ever see. Pictures dont do this place justice, its like a little piece of heaven on earth! We did eat at the bistro, we made reservations the day before but since we were the 1st ppl up there at 11am when they opened there was really no need. We went at the beginning of October. The season ends the 9th of October this year for anyone interested. The atmosphere At the bistro is warm and pleasant. Its not really a teahouse anymore as it used to be back in the day but You can get a variety of about 8 teas here. They are good, i had the masala tea and my husband the blueberry tea. We ordered the burger which my husband said was tasty, i ordered the nachos but did not like them. They layered the cheese throughout and made th dish super soggy. I didnt end up eating it all as i dont enjoy soggy nachos. Again the experience of being up 7000ft was amazing, they have set up these cubicles near the ridge with seats that you can hang out in and relax. This would be a prime spot for instagram photos, a proposal or wedding photos! I also read that they do EXTREME mountain climbing here with a guide. So if ur into that, you can sign up for it online.

Great afternoon. The ride up to the Bistro is great. Beautiful views. Once up top you can sit on the trails edge and marvel at Banff from above. Having lunch, a snack or just a drink at the Bistro is an experience. Prices are decent for the location and service and food were great. Would recommend. Brought up a small treat to have at the top from @KakebyDarci. Really the cherry on top... of the mountain.

Surprisingly you get to this place from the parking lot through the gondola! We only realised this upon reaching there however it only added adventure to our lunch stopover as we crossed the area to get to Kelowna from Lake Louis. Spectacular views atop. Good food( we had eggs) , polite servers. Toilets available. Keep in mind the flight of steps to get to the restaurant. Good place to take pics. Too

Surprisingly good given they have a pretty captive audience at the top of the chair lift. We got the charcuterie board and it was diverse and quite good. I don't know if I'd take the chair lift up just for the restaurant, but I'd definitely be sure to eat there if I was taking it up anyway.

The Cliffhouse Bistro is definitely a place for locals to enjoy fantastic food and service at a reasonable price. Mike, the chef, creates delicious and beautifully prepared meals to accommodate any allergies or food preferences. Great menu! Michelle, our server, went above and beyond our expectations to ensure our dinner reservation was outstanding. The views from the bistro located at the top of the North American chairlift are spectacular. A great place for locals and guests to gather for a fantastic dining experience. Highly recommend!

It is a small place but great food and beautiful scenery. We went in the morning where it was a chilly morning but as soon as we went up we went to get some hot chocolate and food. The place was organized, clean and the staff were friendly and welcoming. It looked like not much people visit this place but I would say if your visiting Banff don’t miss this little gem of a place.

My fiancΓ© and I decided to dine at Cliffhouse Bistro for our anniversary. It was exciting to ride to the top of the mountain and eat with such a beautiful view! It was quiet and away from the crowds. The restaurant is cozy, it is beautifully decorated and has a fireplace inside. You need a sightseeing lift ticket to get to the restaurant but once you are at the top, it’s just a few steps to get inside. We found the servers super friendly and the food was delicious. There is not much choice as far as menu options so we decided to share the nachos.

Wow! You must visit this place! It is a little difficult to find if you don't know where you are going. You have the ride up the ski lift to get here, but it is so worth it! Amazing views! I wish we had been hungrier when we came here, but since it does close early, we had to squeeze it in. The nachos were awesome! The service was attentive and friendly!

After a day of mountain climbing (guided tour), we stopped in for a meal and drinks. The food and drinks were excellent and the staff was supper friendly and accommodating, they let us finish our drinks and assured the lift down remained open β€˜till we were done! We also had the opportunity to see a family of mountain sheep, come down, onto the chalet deck, as we ate!
