The one bedroom suite we stayed in was very dated and dirty. Grey stains in the bathtub and food crumbs in the pull out bed. The towels were old and rough. The room smelled like smoke so I assumed that the fireplace was not working properly. Because we were in the basement, we could hear all kinds of noise from our neighbours. This place really needs some serious renovation. Some of the front desk agents were not friendly and approachable. The lady who checked us in had a cold demeanor. One night, I felt that I had to beg for blankets for my children when I called down. Definitely very disappointed at the service. Parking stalls were small. The pools had a comfortable temperature and beautiful view. Overall, a poor experience for the amount of money we paid. We will not be returning.

We hired a loft apartment with double beds in the apex which the kids loved. The kitchenette was a little on the small side but not enough to be a problem. Otherwise the apartment was great for what we needed. We needed a few extra bits for the kitchen and the staff were helpful and quick to oblige. It's a great location just above Banff Town and the free shuttle bus is a real asset in getting around. Though on the way back from town it worth jumping off when it passes close by as it can wait at the end of the loop to be on schedule for the next run. The resort occupies a pleasant spot in the woods with plenty of options to walk out. The Hoodoos viewpoint is an easy hike from there.

Fantastic place. Amazing location surrounded by mountains. Rooms are suites they come with a kitchen and small dinner table. As well as a wood fire place with unlimited wood to burn. The public area has a sauna, warm pool and hot pool. Great for families, we spent 3 days here during our vacation and would return!

Our family of 12 had 3 rooms here. Everyone enjoyed staying here. Taking the bus into Banff downtown wasn't as pleasant as we were there in the summer so the buses tended to be pretty crowded, however, it was worth it. I wouldn't mind staying again. The lobby is pretty nice with a log cabin feel and a great view of the mountains.

The location of this “resort” is great! Beautiful views of the mountains and nestled away from the other nearly “resorts” and motels. There is also a bus stop right outside the resort, which is very convenient in the very busy town of Banff. Be careful not to block the road the bus takes. Unfortunately our room was rather dated and in need of a deep clean. Room service did come during the day and change our linens, which was nice. There isn’t much parking and it’s rather tight (but there is limited space in the mountains so not much you can do about that). The staff was friendly and very nice.

It is called hidden ridge for a reason but definitely worth the trip up the hill. Quant rooms with wood burning fireplaces and ample wood. Reasonable rates with excellent staff. Bus passes included and $15 off meals at partner restaurants. We will definitely stay again. Tim’s 2cents

Beautiful place to stay! I had family visiting from Ontario so we wanted to take them out to the mountains for a few days. No regrets booking both nights here!! The lodges are warm and comforting with a fireplace and full kitchen. Anything we needed for cooking a meal, staff was able to bring out. We needed a hand with the fireplace as well and they were quick to respond! The BEST feature of the resort are the out door hot tubs and the sauna! The view is Absolutely Amazing and there’s enough room to spread out even during busy times. We were lucky to get a sunny, clear view the first day so we could see all the mountains. The second day was really foggy but still absolutely beautiful. We got to sit in the warm water and snow fell down on us. It was beautiful 😍 Definitely planning to go back!

Hidden Ridge is in a beautiful location a twenty minute walk from Banff Avenue. The one bedroom suite is well appointed with a wood burning fireplace (wood is free and kindling provided), full kitchen (everything you need is provided), sitting and dining area with a sofa bed and television. The bedroom had 2 Queen beds and a television. The bathroom is well appointed and has Rocky Mountain Soap Company body wash, shampoo, conditioner, as well as hand soap and lotion. There is spacious underground heated parking for each block of suites. I would say the only things missing were an alarm clock in the bedroom and a DVD or BluRay, which was advertised. There is an outdoor hot tub with an amazing view of surrounding mountains!

Great place to hide away for a few days. Older rooms, but very well maintained and clean. Outdoor hot tub is great, with a beautiful view. Best part though is the wood burning fireplaces in each suite, with fire wood sheds located around the property. Will definitely stay again.

An amazing little place. Staff were friendly. Free coffee in the lobby. The pool and hot tub were magical with the view. The walls need to be washed pretty badly but overall the room was very clean and well put together. Would definitely recommend to anyone traveling to Banff.

Second stay at Hidden Ridge in a premier condo. Absolutely exceptional. Cozy spacious mountain chalet and the grounds are a little winter wonderland. Perfect secluded location yet only a few minutes drive from downtown. Friendly staff who accommodated a request made at the time of booking which was greatly appreciated. Our stay was magical. ❄️

Our stay was so wonderful! The staff were so accommodating to us. We splurged a bit and got a room with a private hot tub. What the reviews forgot to mention was it was absolutely worth it for the views from the hot tub! I love that we were looking out at the mountain range and overlooking the town. The real wood burning fireplace was such a special touch in the room. And two bathrooms was such a treat! We had the “Canadian breakfast” package added on to our room which was so good!! The dishwasher was a good surprise bonus! I would absolutely stay here again in a heartbeat! What an excellent location, close enough to town to enjoy all the amenities but far enough away that it felt like a really excluded quiet vacation!

Our two night stay at the Hidden Ridge Resort was an absolute letdown. The lodge could hardly be called clean. Dirty sofa, broken fan in the bathroom, soap dipencers, poorly closing oven door, dishwasher door, 1 hob was defective. Poor lighting. Worst of all, a stinking fireplace smell. We will never come back her end advise against it.

We paid to upgrade our room because the first one we booked was very dingy. The room we stayed in was outdated and could be cleaned better. The bathroom was missing grout in the floor, ceiling peeling and the wall of the shower had mold. Our view was amazing the and hot pool was very nice but also needs some TLC.

The place was great ! Service was fast and efficient. The condo was well-equipped and clean. The spa was nice, although crowded sometimes. The view was amazing from the spa. The only thing that keeps me from giving a 5 star review is that we got a "semi-basement" condo, and we had a family of like 5 that had children running around, crying, screaming in the unit above us and we could hear every footstep, scream and jumping. Thankfully; they stayed only 2 or 3 nights on the 7 we booked. They really should put the families in the semi-basements instead so they wont trouble others peace as much. Overall we really enjoyed our stay.

Loved our stay and especially the hot and cool pools as well as the sauna. Our room was dated and mediocre at best but it was clean and we spent minimal time there any ways. We enjoyed the sunset from the pool area. The wood was too fresh to catch a fire so bring a hatchet to make kindling. The roam bus was super fast and easy to catch from the resort to downtown Banff. Highly recommend that mode of transportation to town. Also highly recommend the hoodoo viewpoint which is a short hike or drive to the top. Would go back!

We stayed a week at Hidden Ridge with 19 family members in the beginning of August. We had four rooms, located one next to the other. Room amenities were great with plenty of space for everyone. Bathrooms were large as well. Kitchen a bit snug, but functional. Mostly well equipped. Nice to have the dish washer as well as clothes washer and dryer. Surprisingly though, one of our rooms didn’t have the washer dryer and it was the largest room with the addition of a basement play room. The grounds are lovely and wooded. It is very peaceful. The hot tub, pool and sauna were appreciated by all after long days hiking, rafting or biking. We had vehicles but often used the Roam transit to get to and fro. Great visit to Banff.

I had a really great time. It's a very affordable option, and the view is top notch. The fireplaces are a really nice touch as well. The rooms feel like a cross between a cabin and an older apartment building, especially when your upstairs neighbors start stomping around. There were a few basic aspects of upkeep that were a bit weird; coffee and tea baskets that were half-stocked, sink and tub drains clogged up, shampoo and conditioner dispensers both filled with shampoo, and parking was a bit of a mess. But none of these little annoyances kept me from having a very enjoyable experience overall.

This was our second time staying at this resort. It's in an excellent location..The rooms are well appointed with big bathrooms and a great kitchen. The beds are comfy, and the place is always clean. The real wood burning fireplace is so cozy, such a bonus. Only slight criticism is that the suiites decor needs some updating. The staff at reception are amazing. They are extremely helpful and extremely welcoming and polite. The outdoor hot tub, with its amazing views of the mountains, is spectacular. The whole place has a mountain lodge feel, what you want when staying in the Banff area. I highly recommend staying here!!

Overall really good January winter experience here. The views are spectacular and the cabin style accommodations are certainly cozy. The real fireplace was lovely to have for the winter cold and ambiance. The staff were nice and accommodating and the hot tub and sauna had the best views and were super nice during the cold weather. However, the rooms have a few maintenance issues here and there: loose door handles, dishwasher doesn't latch its door, a few dents and scratches in the walls. The demographic was also mixed depending on the time of week and let's just say certain parties were rowdier than others

We stayed at the resort few times. We love everything about it and that is why we always come back. Units are always clean and well supplied. Pool and sauna are always good options after a day of skiing. Location is awesome; close to the centre but far enough to have peaceful stay.

We had a great stay at Hidden Ridge! The outdoor heated pool/hot tub and sauna make this place worth the stay on their own. The lobby was decorated nicely for Christmas. We stayed in one of the lower level one bedroom condos and it fit our family 5 just fine. The location is great, you have unobstructed valley and mountain views with very little lights of town to distract from the view. It wasn’t busy when we were there so our kids had free reign in the heated pool while we relaxed in the hot tub. The only down side for me was the rooms are definitely dated, and weren’t the cleanest. I could see old food and dirt down the side of the stove and under the front, but it wasn’t a deal breaker by any means for me. The condo rooms were well equipped for preparing meals there, and a handful of places do offer free delivery up there too. All in all, very happy with our stay and we will be back!

Nice and cozy stay. The reception area was very nice and welcoming, the staff was very friendly and accommodating . The condo was spacious and clean enough. The condos would probably benefit from having an update, such as a fresh coat of paint and some new wall paper. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. The pool and sauna area was very nice and the view is stunning, however, a bit small for the number of people accessing it, especially in the evening, perhaps having a schedule to book a time slot would be best so that clients can have an enjoyable and relaxing experience.

Excellent stay in Hidden Ridge Resort. Location is only 6 mins drive from the town and bus stop is right at the door step. It is very quiet with beautiful scenery all around. The view from the hot tub and swimming pool is great! and our dog has a good time. The dog gets a welcome gift and also the bowls and sleeping pad if you didn't bring it. The beds are clean and the breeze from the forest is really good. Reception is very helpful with everything. Basically you can stay long or short. The best time to visit pool is 2 to 3 in the afternoon while it is hot outside and not a lot of people.

The lodge was very spacious and clean. There were a couple of quirky things since our lodge had not been upgraded yet in comparison to some of the ones around us. For example the bathtub water control was reversed so that the hot was actually cold in the cold was actually hot. The sliding screen door was a wonderful feature to have to get fresh air but it didn't slide very well. Other lodges seemed to have doors. Love the view from the windows especially in the Loft and balcony was a great feature to have. The biggest impression was the friendliness and quick and efficient manner in which staff responded to our needs whether that was an extra frying pan or towels. If you're looking for fancy and upscale then go somewhere else... if you want simple, quaint and a great location this is the place to stay in Banff!

We had a very pleasant stay. We only stayed 2 nights but I wish we could have stayed longer… but it was part of a road trip so we couldn’t stay longer and price in high season is quite high… but this is the same in all places in Banff in August. Staff is friendly, rooms and swimming pool are clean, quality of beds is good. I found the resort better suited for families with children than for couples or adults only.

Absolutely fabulous experience. The resort area is so nice and quiet, a bit away from the crowds downtown, with the wonderful aromas of fresh forest air all around. Plenty of parking spots available. We stayed in one of the premium cabins with four queen beds. Everyone in our party was so happy. There were two queen beds on the top loft or mezzanine level, and two queen beds in two separate bedrooms in the ground floor along with a washroom. The middle floor consisted of a second washroom, living room with a wood-burning fireplace, and a nice balcony. We added the s'mores package to our reservation and we so impressed with the thoughtfulness and hospitality if the staff.
