I went to Banff Norquay ski school for the day. The slopes are perfect for beginners like me. Not too big and the instructor was so patient and so encouraging (it was my first time on the slope). The bunny slopes are perfect for families and beginners. I would def recommend and i paid CAD199 for 4 hours with an instructor. There is a break for lunch in between. Go check it out!

I was not aware that paying a ticket for the ski hill at Norquay also included Disney world passes! I say this because everybody that I met here, both on and off the hill, were the kindest, nicest, overall most helpful and friendly people I have ever seen on a ski hill. Ever. Not only is this place affordable, the staff here kindly helped direct me off the mountain when I was trailing along at closing time, as it was my first time and didn't know how to get off. And they did it with a smile and warmth. As a heads up for first-timers, both the C Cascade and D Express lifts are tiny compared to the E Mystic AND the only way to get off Mystic is to get down to the base, go up the Mystic chair again and hang a right all the way back. It was a few weeks ago but from what I recall, I also had to go up Spirit one more time in order to get back to the lodge. They should maybe make this more obvious when entering the park because the first two lifts are very easy and quick to complete but Mystic takes a long time so plan ahead!! This might be because it was early on in the season but there were a few spots that were scrapey and icy and there is a section at Mystic when you go straight (to the left of the chair) with a really beautiful space but only after going down a very steep and icy portion. If there is a way to direct any snow blowers there, it would help many people get down the hill. Another suggestion would be to have the colors of the runs be displayed more prominently; there were lots of times where I didn't know where I was because there were no colors or numbers identified on the run that I was on, and at one point I saw the sign, pictured below, that made me very confused as to which way to get down to the lodge. Overall, great little spot, would definitely consider coming back if even just for the awesome way I was treated by everybody here. Thank you for a great snowboarding day Norquay!! 🏂❄️

I did the Via Ferrata at Banff here and would recommend it to everyone who wants to know about climbing! Wouldn’t recommend it for experienced hikers/climbers. We chose a 3 PM tour (Explorer route), so we have around 2.5 of Via Ferrata. You start by taking the ski lift up the mountain, which gives you amazing views of the valley. They provide you with all the equipment you need, so it is a massive plus for first-timers! Overall, this is such an exciting, unforgettable time.

Via Ferrata on Mount Norquay was on our bucket list and it did NOT disappoint! Our guide Ryan was great and the safety was top notch. Highly recommend this place for anyone considering this type of adventure 😉. I would recommend booking in advance and having good hiking shoes on and also bringing gloves, although they do provide gloves, helmets and harnesses. They have several different time lengths of adventures.

Beautiful scenery and wonderful staff. Short lift lines and a variety of terrain make this a great ski hill! Did I mention the staff? They’re awesome! One-on-one lessons and family pack lift tickets make this the clear choice! Pay attention - you’ll see locals and pros from age 4 to 84 and everywhere in between!

It was our first time at Mt. Norquay (we tried the tubing) and it was awesome! The staff are great and very friendly, shout out to the lads at the top of the mountain who were really cool too. We tried going down the mountain together (3 of us) first and then took turns next. It's so much fun you'd want to do it all over again! If you're looking for something fun to do this winter, then check this place out!✌ Also, bring something to cover your face especially when it's a little chilly. It really helps.👍

Weeeh. Gorgeous views. Awesome powder. Friendly staff. I would not call this a beginner hill, although it does have a section for learning. Lots of steep sections, and an abundance of moguls. I loved it! Wish the park was open but overall fantastic experience.

Just did the Via Ferrata here and would highly recommend it to everyone! You start your day by taking the ski lift up the mountain, which gives you amazing views of the valley. From there, as you start to climb up the mountain, you come across thrilling features like bridges and wires to cross. They provide you with a lunch to enjoy on your way up the mountain as well. When you make it down the mountain, they also provide you with a charcuterie board and a drink of your choice! Overall, this is a such a thrilling, memorable excursion.

This place is so incredible beautiful. The sightseeing chairlift was recommended to our group over the Banff chairlift and for half the price. The view was incredible. We got coffee and a charcuterie board when we got to the top of the mountain. Highly recommend. 10/5 stars ✨

Did the 4 hour via Ferrara tour which was a lot of fun with awesome views. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and helpful and I felt safe during the entire time. Would recommend for people who have an average to above average fitness level however. Would not recommend this to people with shoulder problems or bad knees.

My whole family (2 parents in our late 50s and kids 21 and 19) loved the via ferrata and our guide, Tom, was fantastic. We did the "mid level" experience, the Alpinist, which was just right for us as we had never done a via ferrata before but we knew our kids would want to do more than the "taster." The activity itself is a ton of fun and the views were wonderful. If you are really afraid of heights this might not be your thing, but I am not crazy about heights and was not bothered on this trip at all because you are clearly bolted to the mountain the entire time. It felt quite safe but was also exhilarating. I was also a little worried about my fitness (I am 58 and do a lot of cardio but have no upper body strength) and was pleasantly surprised at how doable this was. Tom was very kind and encouraging and also very knowledgable. He made everyone in our group of 6 (our family and another young couple) feel safe and supported. I highly recommend this activity and we will definitely do it again - a longer trip next time - if we are lucky enough to return to Banff!

Phenomenal views & very Adventurous VIA FERRATA. Katsu was a legend of a guide. Did the 6hr trek & FULLY worth it. Unless you've done multi-pitch climbing you've never done anything like this. Totally totally worth it. I've traveled to Iceland, Africa, Colombia, Hawaii & this provided one of the top 3 views in my life. Super solid.

Amazing views from the top of the mountain. Ski lift in summer and fall far less crowded than the gondolas. Saw deer, bighorn sheep and a black bear on the mountain!

My wife and I were not sure what to expect as we are new to this activity. We chose the explorer package to get our feet wet. I'll say that if you are an experienced hiker in the mountains, you can definitely choose a harder route and be comfortable, but if you want to get used to using the fall protection harness and safety lanyards, then the explorer is a good course for you. The views were great, the weather was very cooperative for us (it only rained a bit) and our guide Paul was top notch. We wished we had more time to do more but we didn't have enough time left in our trip. Thanks for the great experience!

My sister and I had the most amazing experience! Arron was our guide and he couldn't have been better! Definitely having a guide who is so calm and conversational helps makes an adventure like this more interesting and fun. Thanks so much Arron!

A blast for the family! It's our third year going to Norquay tubing. The staff are super friendly and were even playful with the kids. My son got a kick out of the staff throwing snowballs at each other. The tubing runs are safe and so much fun for the kids. Especially when the staff members make us spin down the slope! If you show up at 10 am when they open, you'll have the place to yourselves like we did!😁

We had an amazing time tubing at Mt. Norquay. The runs are a bit longer and steeper than other tubing runs, which makes for a great time. The staff are super friendly and they enjoy giving you a big spin, which makes the experience more fun and inclusive for everyone. You also don't need to spin if you'd rather take in the views. Good for all ages (we are all in our 30s and up) and we enjoyed ourselves... Just don't go the morning after drinking if you want to get a good spin while tubing. I've also snowboarded here, which is cute and fun. There is no alpine though (above the treeline) and the runs are a bit shorter. It's a great ski spot for families, beginners and those who prefer quick runs. The views from North American chair are pretty outstanding though! The night skiing on weekends can be fun if you want to ride the park or want some extra hours to practice/ learn or play around on your skis.

I love it so much having a great assistant for a beginner like me and showing me all the rentals and helping me to accommodate myself with the best for first visitors. The only thing I noticed it’s the souvenir store doesn’t offer T-shirt from Norquay and I really want to get one to remember them. Overall all is good

Chairlift is awesome, albeit a bit scary and steep. The view from up here is unmatched, can see the entire town of Banff and the mountain in the back. Quaint little restaurant up there and some nice seating at the edge of the lookout to relax. Not crowded at all with plenty of parking. The drive up is a bit sketchy with the sharp bends but its all part of the experience.
