My wife and I are visiting Banff for the first time all the way from North Carolina and decided to try Bare Bistro completely on a whim. It is one of those "hole in the wall" rare finds that will completely blow you away. It is family owned and run by some of the kindest people we have met in Canada so far, and we were served some of the best food we've ever had in all of our travels. After a delicious brunch, look forward to some homemade chai and the pinnacle of what carrot cake is able to achieve. This does not feel quite like a restaurant. It feels like you are visiting a dear friend or family member, sitting in their kitchen and eagerly awaiting what is to come while smelling the deliciousness of a home cooked meal. Despite the many restaurants in Banff we will be visiting again. The food is so good it nearly brought tears to our eyes.

This place is heaven on a plate! The food is absolutely incredible - so fresh, nutritious, and incredibly delicious. The recipes and ingredients are so thoughtfully curated- you’re in for a meal that melts in your mouth! Also the owners couldn’t be more friendly and welcoming people, their love for cooking transpires through the food and it really is such an amazing ambiance that they’ve created. We went back three times over the course of our stay! Don’t hesitate, go now! Get the avocado toast or eggs benny! You can’t go wrong with any of their baked goods either :)

Loved this place! So cute and off the beaten path a bit which was nice. We actually came here two mornings in a row. First morning we got the smoked salmon Benedict and the avocado toast which were both amazing, fresh and homemade! The next morning we stopped in to get coffee and baked goods to go before we left town. We met the owners and they were so welcoming and personable - not to mention good at their craft. We would highly recommend!

Only if I could give it 10 stars. Where do I even start? When I walked in, it warmed my heart to see the owner and his wife working hard to make fresh bread for their customers. This small little bakery was located in an industrial area, but it didnt stop us from coming. Parking was limited, but the owner let us park right in front of the store. I had the most amazing avocado toast of my life. It was covered with a WHOLE avocado, balsamic vingar, fresh goat cheese, sautéed tomatoes, and garnished with herbs. My two friends had egg benedicts with smoked salmon which came with the most flavorful stirfry potatoes i have had. This is a small place and the menu is not complicated at all. 3 breakfast options: avocado toast, egg benedict with salmon or ham, and breakfast sandwich. We ordered the STICKY BUN and CINNAMON BUN to share and they were out of the world amazing. We have had bad baked goods in downtown Banff and so we were very grateful for good baked goods at this place away from the busy town. You have been warned ⚠️, the STICKY BUN will leave you speechless. It is sweet, soft and chewy. Did I mention they also have the best chai tea??? Words cannot explain how amazing it is. Excuse me im drooling as im writing this review. The whole experience was amazing. I felt like I was served comfort food at my neighbors house. Sure this place was not one $ sign cheap, but it was worth every dollar. Someone below me said food was expensive and he/she would rather go to a 4 star hotel... well, his/her highness should have just stayed at the hotel.

Cozy place with yummy food! When we visited, there were 3 menu items and several pastries available. The food is well-made and fresh. I highly recommend grabbing breakfast/brunch here if you’re looking for a quiet place outside of town.

Probably the best smoked salmon benedict I've ever had. The owners are super nice, they talked to us and gave us advice on things to see along our route. Top quality food, one of the owners worked at a chef I India, Dubai and at the Fairmont Lake Louise. I wish I had discovered this place yesterday so I could of had breakfast here twice! We grabbed a few fresh goodies to go and can't wait to try them. Don't miss this place!

We were looking for an option off the beaten path and we were not disappointed. The hospitality, the service, the food, the Chai and the owners was hands down worth it. The food was delicious. Best eggs Benny and avocado toast on their in house made sour dough. You will not be dissatisfied.

Came in with a bunch of people at once and the service was amazing! The owners are very sweet and the food is definitely something to come back for. All of us ordered everything in their breakfast menu and they were all spot on delicious! They also have their own baked goods for our drive back! This is a gem for a unique breakfast before driving off banff

I had Bare Bistro make and deliver my cupcakes for my wedding and they turned out amazing! So beautiful, delicious, and exactly what I wanted. My family and I also dined here for breakfast and had the most delicious food!!

World class. One of my favorite breakfasts worldwide. Especially in Banff which I found most food average to bland. Breakfast and bakery treats here are AMAZING. All items look and taste like they are made with love and skill, I couldn't even specify anything that didn't taste as good as it looks. Note, they have a small fixed menu but all items are expertly crafted. If any special requests they are happy to try and accommodate with notice. Location is a bit off the main strip and would be best accessible by car. Don't let the industrial area deter you, I promise it's worth it. Not only was dining in fantastic, we loaded up on tons of pies, sandwiches and deserts for our roadtrip.

Had such a lovely time having brunch here. The host and the chef were both amazing. I had the avocado toast which was perfect. The highlight, though, was the Indian chai that they served. I ended up having two just because of how amazing it was. Can’t recommend this place enough.

We just had DELICIOUS Chicken Tikka, basmati rice and a green salad with Chocolate Mud Cake with salted caramel buttercream icing for dessert. YUM! Bare Bistro is now owned by a young, hardworking pair of experienced chefs whose attention to detail and insistence on top quality ingredients sets their food apart. In Banff's industrial section, they are quite deservedly a favourite with locals, who want a hearty meal at a good price! Lots of great breakfast and lunch options, including cakes, to eat onsite or take with you on your next hike.

Excellent food, great service and chai - this place is a gem. Seriously one the best salmon Benedict I had in my life, everything is made fresh and with care. We plan to go again.

This place is an absolute gem to visit in Banff. The couple that runs this business has a true passion for excellent food and presentation. The hollandaise on the eggs benedict was out of this world. The omelette and breakfast sandwich are made with a sauce that takes these dishes to the next level. The baked goods (bread, cookies, eclairs) are all made in house and the quality bar is extremely high. Wishing much success to the owners, an absolutely amazing place to visit for breakfast and lunch.

In the 3 days we were in Banff, we had 3 wonderful meals (breakfast and lunch) there. Using high quality ingredients, creative seasoning and dressing, the chef always puts together such wonderful dishes with impressive presentation! Anything they serve they put time and effort in crafting the perfect dish for everyone to enjoy. The restaurant is a hidden gem in a highly commercialized town. The owners, a lovely couple, are genuinely caring and passionate about serving the local community! Thanks Bare Bistro, for making our trip to Banff even more memorable!!

Amazing breakfast! The couple that owns this place are both chefs and you can really tell when you try the food. We all had the eggs Benedict with salmon and it was the best meal we had during our stay in Banff. The chai tea was also incredible. A must try if you are in the area.

Excellent experience here. Not fancy. Mom and pop place. Limited parking. Very small, maybe 3 tables. Very limited menu with no prices listed but I would have paid as much as they wanted, the food was THAT good. I highly recommend their omelet and the sourdough bread but what I came back for was the pecan sticky bun! Best I've ever had. Everything is made in house with love! Delicious! 😋

This place is amazing. The food is prepared with love and care. The owners pour their hearts into it. We had their sticky buns and loved them. They didn't have any sourdough bread but I know it is different than regular commercially made stuff.

This unassuming little place is an absolute gem! Do not be thrown off by first impressions on the location, you won't regret it. My partner and I had the avocado on sourdough (it looked so good that we ate it before we got a chance to get pictures!) and took away a pair of scrumptious cakes for a trail snack later. All food is freshly prepared and locally sourced - we know this because Alfredo was collecting apples from a local farm when we first arrived. The wonderful owners Fonda & Alfredo have taken a leap of faith from working for a renowned hotel chain to start business on their own. I fell in love with this place and the people who run it. Every detail of their dishes is informed by their culinary expertise and passion for their work. How this place isn’t packed every day is beyond me. I’d eat here every day if I could!
