From start to finish, this was the best salon experience I've had. Scheduling was a breeze, every staff member from front desk to stylists were friendly and skilled in their respective fields. Clean and classy with an upscale look but a comfortable feel. I trusted our stylists (Tim and Abby) who offered tons of tips and knowledge for maintaining our cuts as well as just good manner all around. Fit us in quickly, listened to our requests and walked out with the perfect cut despite having difficult textured hair. Great prices too. This is absolutely the place to go!!

I wanted to love this place, I really did. I had a couple of gift certificates laying around and decided to put one to good use by booking a spa pedicure, $58. (!!) I haven't had a ton of spa services in my lifetime, so was pretty excited to have a pedicure at a place that's so highly touted. I've lived in Bangor a long time and had never been, so was really expecting the Rolls Royce of pedicures for almost $60. I walked in and yes, the place is nice, but not the hushed elegance I'd expect for the prices. Granted, I didn't see all of the salon, just the entry, waiting room and pedicure area. I checked in and then just stood there. Since I'd never been before, I had no idea where to go and had to ask where the waiting area was for my appointment. The receptionist pointed me in the right direction (It's to the side and behind reception) mentioned that there was coffee, water, etc. available there as well. And there was, but just your run of the mill Keurig station with paper cups, the same as my mechanic's garage. But..OK, it's still coffee. My technician came out to get me and she was very sweet and I enjoyed talking to her, which was a plus. However, the pedicure area was just..basic. 4 or so pedi chairs in a row, shelves with products for sale, shelves on the wall with nail polish to choose from. The wall in the hallway was scuffed with black marks by my chair and the light fixtures overhead all had a fuzzy coating of dust on them. Again..would I normally give a hoot? Nope? I've had my nails done in the back of some guy's cash only van in North Carolina..I'm not picky. But again, for the price and the build-up..it was surprisingly average. And it wasn't until I got home and got a good look with my glasses on that I noticed that one of my big toe nails is clipped at a decided angle, there's some polish clean-up that got missed on the side of a couple of toes and the ridges on my big toe nails are still pretty obvious. Now in their defense, I didn't even think to mention the ridges, but they are obvious and weren't addressed. And for almost $70 after a 20% tip..that should have been noticed and corrected by a professional. All in all, I enjoyed going, the experience just wasn't worth the price for me.

I really love going to Anthony Johns Day Spa. Each time I go, the staff is friendly and, most importantly, I leave feeling amazing. I have experienced many of the services they offer, and I'm never disappointed. The only thing that could make it any better would be if I could go more often. Try them, you won't regret it.

My boyfriend and I were on a little getaway in Clifton and were so thrilled to be able get appointments for massages the same day! Everyone was so incredibly nice and we felt 10 years younger by the time we left, my bf even got a hair cut and beard trim while he waited for me to finish. If we’re ever back in the area we definitely be coming back here!!

Jenn is the best when it comes to pedicures. Amazing personality and wonderful at her job. My feet feel brand new. The spa itself is beautiful 😍 so glad something like this exists here. I WILL be back. Mainly so Jenn and I can reminisce about growing up in the 90s. Love it.

I absolutely love what they have done with this space. It is a beautiful and calming place and the area for the massage was set up perfectly. Coleen was professional and did her best to make sure I was comfortable and had a wonderful experience. I felt amazing during and after the appointment and time flew by. I will definitely be booking again!

I went here for the complete works- a 6 hour long day- got lunch and mimosas while I waited- everyone was absolutely wonderful - what I would have loved is a picture of after- and the only thing I didn't get was a plush robe between sessions - but other than that it was a day to remember

I have started the massage membership and also cupping. I have chronic pain and no medicine or treatment has benefited me as much as these appointments. I have been reluctant in the past to let anyone work on sensitive parts of my body for fear or more pain and anxiety, but I gave it a chance and I am able to really have trust in the ladies that work on me at Anthony Johns. I can relax and know that they have amazing techniques and know what my body needs. Being able to schedule online works so well for me and my busy schedule. Today I had a cupping appointment and lost my hearing aid right before I went in. I was basically completely deaf and was so upset and embarrassed. Kimberly was able to communicate with me and I felt safe w her. I was going to ask her to help me with paying at the front desk, but I didn't have to. She stayed with me and wrote questions down for me to get me through the paying process. I am very thankful that such a difficult appointment went so smoothly for me and that she was so sensitive to my needs.

i got the mini manicure and i was underwhelmed. i would recommend it for people who maybe don't get their nails done often, but as someone who regularly gets either dip or acrylics it was not for me. i had dip powder nails that were very grown out and i guess they couldn't remove it (wish they said this on their website...) so my appt was basically just filing it down for half of the time and painting over them for the next half (overpriced painting and filing tbh). i didn't even get the soak :( i don't want to give them a horrible review because it wasn't really anyone's fault. the workers were very nice and its a beautiful salon, and i LOVE the online booking, but this is just something i would keep in mind! would def consider getting a facial or massage if i had some cash to spare
