Beautiful mandir beside the hangseshwari mandir. It's a shiva temple. The architecture resembles terracotta architecture. The designs, bricks are all same. Atmosphere is so serene.

The history of Bansberia dates back to the days of Shah Jahan. In 1656, the Mughal emperor appointed Raghab Dattaroy of Patuli as the zamindar of an area that includes the present-day Bansberia. Legend has it that Raghab’s son Rameshwar cleared a bamboo grove to build a fort, inspiring the name Bansberia.

A temple dedicated to Lord Narayan. Situated just beside the Hangseswari Temple. Built in the Ek-ratna (having only one tower) style, this temple is famous for its terra cotta work. The temple is decorated with terracotta carvings depicting the life stories of Lord Krishna, stories of Ramayan, Mahabharat and floral designs.

Excellent work. This temple is dedicated to Lord Krishna in the Hangseshwari temple complex. It is built by Raja Rameswar Datta in 1679 in the traditional eka-ratna style, with curved cornices. The tower on top of the temple is octagonal. The terracota works depict stories from the great Indian epics Ramayana and Mahabharata, as well as from lilas of Krishna. Now entry is restricted by archeological survey of India

Ananta Basudeba temple is a temple of Lord Krishna in the Hangseshwari temple complex in Banshberia, in the Hooghly District in the Indian state of West Bengal. Built by Raja Rameswar Datta in 1679, this temple is noted for the exquisite terra cotta works on its walls. It is built in the traditional eka-ratna style, with curved cornices. The tower on top of the temple is octagonal. The terracotta works depict stories from the great Indian epics Ramayana and Mahabharata, as well as from lilas of Krishna. Raja Rameswar Roy built this Vishnu Temple in 1679. He received this piece of land, 401 acres from Aurangazeb as gift. The temple architecture style is the char chala ek ratna style of Bengal architecture. With passage of time the place and temple lost its significance.

The temple named Ananta Basudeba temple is located beside the main Hangsheswari Temple complex. Built-in 1679, the Ananta Vasudeva Temple is an old terracotta temple dedicated to Ananta Basudev, a form of Lord Vishnu. It is topped by an octagonal spire. The facade of the temple is covered with intricately carved terracotta tiles showing stories from the epics, the life of Krishna as well as scenes from then-contemporary life, including that of royal courts, hunting, boat journeys, etc. Near to this temple, there is a Swanbhaba Kali temple built by Raja Nrisingha Deb Dutta Mahasay in 1788.

(Translated by Google) Ananta Basudev Temple is a Krishna Temple located at the Hanseshwari Kali Mandir Chattar in Banshwaria, Hughli district of West Bengal, India. In 1679 King Rameshwar Datta built this temple. The temple is famous for its walls. The temple is built in acorn style. The temple pebble is octagonal. The pictures of the Ramayana, the Mahabharata and the Krishnilila in the picturesque terracotta are engraved on the temple. The old terracotta's wonderful artistry has attracted tourists for many years. This temple is located alongside the Hanseshwari temple as well. In this place, it is possible to see two temples together. Besides, Rajbari is located next to it. Now it is very convenient to travel around all the sights of the surrounding night because of the government lodge being established. A good condition terracotta temple. Two sides of temple walls are full with terracotta plates. Terracotta plates are full with very fine work and also very small. Mostly ramayana, krishna lila and das avatars plates are here. Musicians plates you can see. Don't touch terracotta plates or don't use it as back seat. It's harmful for terracotta plates. ASI well maintained. Must visit this place for half an hour or more.
