I
recently
visited
the
clinic
for
a
scaling
appointment,
but
unfortunately,
my
experience
turned
out
to
be
highly
unsatisfactory.
Not
only
did
the
dentist
fail
to
fulfill
my
specific
request
for
scaling,
but
they
also
proceeded
to
perform
an
additional
procedure
without
my
consent
or
prior
information.
Upon
arriving
at
the
clinic,
I
clearly
stated
my
intention
to
have
scaling
done
on
my
teeth.
I
believed
that
my
concerns
were
understood,
and
an
appointment
was
scheduled
accordingly.
However,
much
to
my
surprise
and
dismay,
the
dentist
initiated
a
filling
procedure
without
any
prior
discussion
or
explanation.
As
a
patient,
I
believe
it
is
essential
to
be
well-informed
about
the
procedures
that
will
be
conducted
on
my
teeth.
This
includes
understanding
the
purpose,
potential
risks,
and
expected
outcomes
of
each
treatment.
Regrettably,
the
dentist
completely
disregarded
this
crucial
aspect
of
patient
care,
leaving
me
feeling
shocked
and
violated.
It
is
vital
for
dental
professionals
to
respect
patients'
autonomy
and
prioritize
their
well-being.
Patient
consent
and
informed
decision-making
should
always
be
upheld
as
paramount.
Unfortunately,
this
was
not
the
case
in
my
recent
dental
visit.
I
strongly
advise
the
dental
clinic
to
reevaluate
their
communication
protocols,
ensuring
that
patients
are
actively
involved
in
the
decision-making
process
and
informed
about
any
changes
in
the
treatment
plan.
Additionally,
it
is
crucial
for
the
dentist
to
practice
transparent
and
ethical
behavior,
always
seeking
explicit
consent
before
initiating
any
procedure
that
deviates
from
the
original
agreement.
