Awesome location. Modern, very clean, and super comfortable bed! Don't miss the corned beef and cabbage at Paddy's Irish Pub and Restaurant (attached to the hotel.) Seriously, the best I've ever had and that is coming from an Irish lass!!

We stayed at the hotel for two nights and it was the weekend I proposed to my girlfriend. In that sense it was a great weekend. However, the stay at the hotel was not great. The doors of the room are paper thin. You heard all the noise passing by at all hours of the day. The bed and pillows were not comfortable. Each pillow was a different feel. Every time we entered the hotel there was the strongest fragrance we have ever experienced at a hotel. Staying at the top brands like Ritz, Hyatt, etc there was a normal/neutral smell. This hotel was a complete disregard for everyone. While they had nice terraces they did not tell you there was no privacy with them. If you are out on the terrace you can see the neighbours next door, not so quiet. The only nice thing about the hotel was Fin, the yellow lab. Bar Harbor, Cadillac Mountain, and Acadia National Park are great and amazing places. Do not stay at this hotel so it does not ruin your time.

We had a lovely stay at the West Street Hotel! The location overlooking the harbor towards Bar Island was perfect, and it's also on Main St where there are lots of restaurants, shops and ice cream stores. We had a 2-room suite which was perfect for us & our adult son - we each had our own bedroom and bathroom, but we shared a living room. Decor and fixtures were modern and stylish. Service was super friendly and effective. We took full advantage of the room service breakfast which also was excellent (note: their pot of coffee is like a "box of joe" - ample for 4 people, so don't order 2 like I did!). The infinity pool on the roof was great after a long hike. A nice bonus was the free car charging in the hotel parking lot (3 chargers). Definitely want to stay again! The hotel and booking was handled by "Opal Collection" which also handle other hotels nearby - *double check* which hotel you are actually booking. We thought we were booking a different hotel, but were happier with this hotel in the end.

We had a great experience staying here. Location was very convenient, and you have a reserved parking spot out back. The rooms were nicely done, immaculate. The free beverage station was so handy. It really is nice to have free bottled water available. This is dog friendly. I didn't bring my dogs but I saw several, and the snack stations had snacks for dogs too. There was a "resident" dog at the front desk which was sweet to see. I would come back for sure.

Overpriced hotel located on a busy street. Uncomfortable beds, lots of room noise both from street and from hallways. Not clean (hair on carpet in room and in shower drain). Employees look unhappy. Had a bad experience with management as well, probably the worst in recent memory and unprovoked. Reading other reviews after our stay, it looks like rude management is a common theme. It’s a joke that this is a high end hotel. You get better service at Doubletrees or Embassy Suites. Stay somewhere else where they want your business.

We loved this hotel. We were on the third floor and the staff upgraded us, voluntarily, to a room with an ocean view. The view was spectacular. The room was large and the decor was and attention to detail impeccable. Bonus: The staff let us stay in the parking lot for a few hours after checking out. The real treat is you get your option of three pools as guests can also use the two pools at the Harborside hotel across the street. We do not recommend that hotel (rooms are small, lots of views of parking lots, etc.).

Looooved it! Can't wait to go back. Loved the pantry area - many great selections. Super sweet staff and even had Hot Apple Cider down in Lobby. Super Clean, comfy mattress and linens. Very well kept & not run down looking. All furniture,, carpet, bedding was in great shape and well taken care of. Love the vibrant clean nautical theme interior decor. We had an Oceanview - AMAZING!

We had an excellent experience at West Street this summer with the family. Located in the center of downtown provided easy access to shore path and a long list of great restaurants and shopping boutiques. Heads up for late travelers, we arrived at night, lot was full, so we had to park down the block at the pool house. Gets busy in peak summer season so plan accordingly. Sipping wine on the outdoor patio overlooking the town on a busy summer evening was a great vibe. Community snack, coffee, beverage and ice bar on each floor. Made it easy for packing the cooler for a day at Acadia park. 18+ roof pool and billiards are accessible via key-card on 5th floor only. Staff were friendly and helpful. Would return in the future, it made a great central location for our experience in Bar Harbor.

Stayed here for a few days and enjoyed everything about it. When first walking in getting greeted by Finn, to the beautiful view of the Harborside from the room, to the amazing shower pressure. When we checked in they upgraded our room and let us check in early. The staff was amazing, especially Pamela. Couldn’t have asked for a better hotel experience. Definitely recommended staying here while in Bar Harbor in the fall and getting a taste of that warm apple cider. Can’t wait to go back next year with the pup.

The location for this property could hardly be better. The views are amazing. The cruise ships cause some congestion, but also lends to great people watching. The rooms are good size and the beds are comfortable. In room bath products are of good quality. The beverage bar on each floor is a very nice touch. The staff is very accommodating and friendly. Our only disappointment is Paddy’s restaurant. We are not sure the real connection between the two, but it does not represent well for the hotel.

Bar Harbor boasts the Lovely Hepatitis, a hotel with breathtaking views. For a delectable dining experience, you can visit the little Mad Shop or one of the organic restaurants in the vicinity. The hotel also has an in-house restaurant that serves delicious meals. It has a rooftop terrace with a pool, but it is restricted to visitors above 18 years of age. You can avail yourself of kind bars and coffee available on every floor. The staff is extremely courteous and friendly, and they also permit dogs, albeit with a slightly expensive pet fee. The soap is great too, smells like the ocean. Overall, it is a great hotel with stunning views.

I cannot say enough about the impressive level of customer service we received from this hotel. Staff is so friendly and the communication upon check in and check out was excellent. We loved being able to walk out the door and experience Bar Harbor shopping and restaurants. Also just a seven minute drive to the entrance to Acadia National Park. We also loved the roof top pool and the access the the hot tub at the sister hotel across the street. Our ocean front room was super clean and comfortable and was tidied up each day for us. We also loved having the well stocked "pantry" on our floor. Highly recommend for your stay in Bar Harbor.

BEWARE, this hotel is not accommodating to children or adults with COVID and children with a stomach virus We had a reservation for a friday and saturday night. My husband tested positive for COVID on THursday AM, my granddaughter and son came down with the stomach flu (vomiting and all); I called the hotel and were told I was out of luck when I said do you want us to come sick so that we do not completely lose our pre paid amount ($3000+) I was told THIS IS OUR POLICY. They would not allow me to delay to 2023. They are not sold out for this weekend, they still have rooms available so they did not lose any booking. They must be desperate for every booking. I travel extensively and in 15 years, I have never had a hotel or resort be so NOT ACCOMMODATING TO A SITUATION THAT IS OUT OF OUR CONTROL. OTHER GUESTS....BEWARE I GUESS WE WILL COME SICK!!!

The staff at this hotel is amazing. The reservation line booked us at the wrong hotel. Taylor and Nicole went above and beyond to make it right. They’re a true dream team!!! Our room was beautiful with a million dollar view.

Clean, elegant nautical design, friendly team ready to help, and comfortable beds! The people working here were wonderfully welcoming and accommodating! The location was excellently positioned along the primary road most people take driving into town down towards Agamont Park and the main waterfront of Bar Harbor. This was a great location to set up "home base" and springboard to local shops, restaurants, and nautical activities such as the sunset sailing cruise which departs from downtown Bar Harbor. The rooftop adults only swimming pool was refreshing to just unwind from the stress of vacationing and enjoy the birdseye views of waterfront Bar Harbor. The attached restaurant, Paddy's Irish Pub and Restaurant, was upscale for a "pub" and we mean that as a compliment! This was a great place to eat our first night. After we checked into the hotel and deposited our bags in the room, we were tired and hungry. With Paddy's attached to the hotel, it was such a relief to have a fantastic meal, some fun blueberry mixed drinks, and go right back up to our room to slumber and regain energy for the next day of exploring Bar Harbor right from the front door of the hotel! This will be our stay again if we are blessed enough to make it back to Bar Harbor.

Great location. We had a 3rd floor room facing the water. The staff were nice and helpful, and the GM brought her friendly lab that hung out in the lobby and was always happy to see folks as they came in. That was an added benefit to be greeted by him each day. The hotel has a great rooftop area for adults with a pool and chairs, and also a pool table on the 5th floor.

We had a premium king room with harbor view, room was very clean views were great and staff is very friendly. I would highly recommend it for anyone going to the area. Pool table is in good condition if you like to play. Pool on the roof is amazing also!! 5th floor is 18+ only.!!(Pool table and outdoor pool area)

My husband and I were in Bar Harbor early October 2021 for a week and were fortunate to get a last minute reservation at this hotel. The hotel is simply beautiful with gorgeous ocean front views! We woke up early to see the sunrise and so glad we did because it was amazingly Beautiful!!!

The West Street Hotel, is a beautiful nautical themed hotel right in front of the waterfront, providing spectacular views. The location is perfect for those looking to walk around town, grab a boat ride, and for those who want a quiet place to spend the night after visiting Acadia. Love how they have electric charges available in their private parking lot, which was perfect for my car's first big road trip! Check out the roof top pool! It was beautiful and we had to it ourselves for a little while, which was great! For a fancy hotel, they could improve their toilet paper and the women's lobby floor bathroom (huge cracks between stalls so you can see everything). I wish they had free breakfast. Skip eating breakfast at the hotel for cheaper options in town.

This hotel has a great location with off the street parking. You can walk to everything and there are gorgeous views of the harbor. The staff was so friendly and accommodating! The Rooms were luxurious and we had a kitchen in ours! No need for it though since there are all the best restaurants right outside your door!

Clean, gorgeous hotel with amazing harbor views. We just spent our second weekend in Bar Harbor and once again chose to stay at the West Street Hotel. It is probably our favorite hotel ever - the nautical decor, great housekeeping, and lovely balcony with sunrise and sunset views are hard to beat. The location of this place is exceptional - you can walk anywhere in Bar Harbor and be in Acadia in a 5 minute drive. Finn the Lab is a wonderful addition :) . We will be back next year!
