I visited Alambazaar many times because of my relatives reside there but never go this place, this the 1st time I visit ganga ghat and it's really a nice place 12 shiv temple kali mandir mahakal mandir hanuman ji grohoraj all god's temple are there and if you see right side can see Nivedita and Vivekanand Bridge together, only 5 minutes walking distance from alambazaar. Now I realized why my grandmother said Cossipore and Baranagar are place of temple and monk.

Peaceful area. 24Γ—7 open. No restrictions. You can visit Temple and worship. You can take bath in ganga. Dressing room available for woman. I didn't bath but i have seen the changing room. You can seat in beside the ghat with loved one, family members.

Last week I visited this alambazar ghat and i must say, it is so calm and peaceful then other nearby ghats. I took a metro to reach dakshineswar then walked down here randomly to explore this place and it turned out to be a good decision. The view of Bally bridge alone with the sunset is incredible and so soothing. You can see from the pictures I shared this is really amazing and beautiful. A must visit place. Yes like other ghats also you can see locals bathing here and little bit of garbage here nd there but else is good.

We went there on Bijoya Dashami for our Durga idol immersion. It is one of the oldest ghats on Kolkata Ganges

Serene...I was lucky. Nearby are a few old semi-dilapidated factories and godowns of the colonial era. Will feel spooky at night.

It's a good place to visit. However you might not get a proper place to sit always. And better to visit before sunset. During rains, the area becomes patchy and no place to sit.
