    I'm a huge fan of M.O. in general. This location has a lot of great things going for it. The rooms are very well kept and the housekeeping staff leaves you thoughtful little items to enhance your stay (cleaning cloth for eyeglasses, a bookmark for your book, cable ties for your charging cords, etc.) I love that aspect of M.O. it really sets it out from the competition. Unfortunately this location really lacks in the service department. Requests are filled very slowly, and more times then not, incorrectly. The food isn't up to par with the levels you'd expect at other MO locations, especially for the price. (Note: the MOments restaurant was not open, so please exclude that from this review) All in all, it's a nice hotel, but I wouldn't stay there again.

    Absolutely incredible staff who go above and beyond. Beautifully designed rooms, fantastic spa and dining options. One of the best hotel stays I’ve ever had, and (I travel professionally and stay in 2-3 hotels all over the world every week) and the MO blew my mind with their attention to detail and commitment to surpassing guest expectations.

    In regards to the rooftop bar: Amazing cocktails and a lovely view of the city centre. Staff is friendly and somewhat attentive. The pool also looks incredible. Would highly recommend if you’re in need of a beautifully mixed cocktail with some views.

    The staff was the best staff in town. They were available for everything, super friendly, super nice, very outgoing really enjoyed my stay having them. Also their English level was amazing i did not have one single difficulty understanding them. For sure the cleanliness, the location and every type of service such as(food, drivers, rooftop, bunkers bar and spa) were all amazing

    Fantastic ambiance, service and overall experience yet again from another Mandarin Oriental. One expects nothing less from this hotel group! This particular hotel has a fantastic location, nestled among the high end boutiques of Barcelona. A short walk to La Rambla and the Gothic Quarter brings one to the heart of the action. Top notch concierge recommended a fantastic restaurant by the beach for paella. Rooftop terrace is stunning, and the indoor pool is perfect to avoid the summer heat Highly recommended!

    Stopped at the bar for a drink and loved it. They give you olives, popcorn, and mixed nuts in this cute little dish. They have safety deposit doors as decor on the walls and ceiling. Surprisingly not very expensive for our drinks. Highly recommend visiting even if you’re not staying at the hotel.

    We had an amazing stay with a great service! Also the fan of MO - benefits were amazing! The in-room-breakfast was delicious and everyone was very helpful. There were a few mistakes during the housekeeping and the room-service. Some things you don't expect from Mandarin Oriental. But the staff came with appropriate solutions to make our stay even more comfortable and amazing. This hotel is highly recommended and we definitely want to come back. Furthermore this wonderful hotel has a perfect location at the Passeig De Gràcia. Excellent!

    My wife and I had the most AMAZING stay and experience at the Mandarin Oriental, Barcelona. I can not put in words truly how amazing our stay was. From the moment we arrived (and we were greeted outside the hotel on arrival) to the moment we left we were treated genuinely like family. First of all the hotel is in the most perfect location to see all the sites in Barcelona. Secondly, its an extremely beautiful and extremely well managed/clean hotel with all the amenities. The room we stayed at was perfect and truly everything was thought of in the room. Most importantly, all the Staff was extremely helpful and friendly. I want to personally acknowledge Eric at the Concierge desk, Luca, Luis at the Banker bar, and Alberto who were all truly amazing. However, it is very important to note every single person we interacted with was wonderful. I also wanted to add that my wife and I were celebrating our Wedding Anniversary at they gave us a complimentary bottle of Champagne as well as a personalized gift in our room. Our stay and experience at the Mandarin Oriental, Barcelona was the best stay I have ever had and my wife and I can't wait to come back

    4.5 rounding up to 5. It was a solid 5-star hotel but something felt a little sterile to me about the place. I was also not excited about how the windows along the facade of the hotel only came down halfway and felt relatively small—I prefer loads of natural light. However, the room was very spacious, the spa was very nice and the breakfast was pretty good. All in all a nice spot in Barcelona! Pretty good location as well. Views from the rooftop were quite lovely. Possibly nicer in the summer when it’s warm.

    I could not have had a better experience. I loved your hotel, staff, guest rooms and outlets. We had a wonderful breakfast and the rooftop at sunset is something that should not be missed. A true hidden gem in Barcelona. We will be back!!!

    I would not say my stay exceeded expectations because my expectations were very high. Those expectations were met however, and I was happy with my stay. The only downsides I can see about staying with you again is that the swimming pool on the roof was too shallow, but I don't think you can do much about that. Overall a very pleasant stay. Well done and thank you.

    The MO Barcelona was a great experience. The staff was exceptional. The layout was a bit confusing. The room/bath had no hooks for robes etc. The shower was weird and the rug outside was soaked. Again no where to hand a towel near the shower. Food was excellent. Overall I was very happy.

    MO is an excellent establishment and has a stellar staff. The food was delicious and I felt right at home. The hospitality was above and beyond. Although we did not get to enjoy the spa this time, it gives me another opportunity to come back and indulge at the MO again. Thank you for such a wonderful stay !

    The facility and staff were amazing. In particular Viktar and Alberto deserve special notice. They both came to meet us 2 blocks away from the hotel when our car could not make it to the hotel due to road closures the day we arrived. They were extremely courteous - made sure we settled in well - and each subsequent day greeted us by name and smile. The room was impeccable and was serviced twice daily. We would definitely recommend friends to stay here -and will look for other MO properties when we travel.

    We loved the warm welcome from Juan. He prepared our room early and we really appreciated his personal attention. Kevin the concierge was another standout. He took time to prepare us for our day, offered very helpful advice and made us a dinner reservation that we thoroughly enjoyed. The room was spectacular. Location was perfect. But our favorite thing about MO is always the breakfasts. And your was fantastic. The churros really put a smile on our face. Impeccable experience. Thank you.

    1st time at a Mandarin Oriental - An absolute treat. Staff (especially concierge) went over and beyond to assist us and help us in any way they could. Concierge made special effort to assist us getting a prescription for medicine that was accidentally left in the US - all at no charge. Wait staff in Blanc were attentive and more than willing to adjust for our dietary requests. Room was modern, clean and comfortable. Shower was outstanding as it had great water pressure AND instant, plentiful hot water. Breakfast assortment was more than sufficient. I would offer 2 suggestions as to breakfast. For Americans, the coffee was extremely weak and rather tasteless and not very hot. I would suggest better quality (and stronger) coffee and that it is served in thermal carafes (rather than individual china pots that cool down too quickly) which can be left at the table (alleviating the need for the server to constantly bring fresh, hot coffee). Hotel is in great central Barcelona location.. Many thanks for a great stay!

    I went yesterday for the first time to try the Rooftop Yoga class organized in partnership with Frizzant. It was honestly an amazing experience! The terrace is beautiful, breathtaking view on Passeig de Gracia. It seemed like a dream to be able to practice yoga there. Beautiful class and the breakfast that they offered after the class was so delicious 😍 the personnel of the hotel was super kind and professional! I will for sure go back.

    The spa team at MO took hospitality to the next level. I had a half day to spare after a few rough travel days. The staff was attentive and committed to turn my experience around. Danielle's team (chrisitie) booked a massage for me in the afternoon and offered me to use the pool in the morning. They arranged my lunch and transportation to make sure I catch my train. Everyone I interacted with, from the bellman, to restaurant manager, and the spa team, was nice and accommodating. Truly enjoyed my time. Thank you!

    We were impressed with the service from the moment we arrived through our check out day. The reception team were friendly, informative and walked us around hotel and then to our room when it was ready (which was available to us 3 hours before check-in time). Also, while we were waiting for our room, the receptionist team offered us the spa so we could shower, refresh and wait in the relaxation room. This was a game changer after flying overnight! The concierge team was excellent! Pablo, Eric and Ruby were outstanding! They all went above and beyond for us. They made us feel like we were visiting family and friends with their personal touches. This is especially valued when visiting another country and not speaking the language. Their recommendations for dining and tours were amazing . Every single person at the Mandarin knew our name and this as well made us feel very welcome. Hands down, best hotel experience we’ve had to date.

    We had a very comfortable stay at this incredible hotel in the heart of Barcelona. The staff did everything to make sure we are well taken care of. The room was super clean, modern and has all the amenities we needed. The view from the balcony is amazing. All in all an unforgettable experience.

    Booked tickets to visit the Christmas markets at the hotel. They were located on the roof top of the hotel, beautiful setting and atmosphere. Myself and two friends ordered a hot chocolate from the bar( 8€ each ), it was served cold. I asked them to change it, after waiting 15 minutes they brought me a new one, took 1 sip and it was again cold. I asked for my money back and the staff were so rude, told me we are outside so that’s as hot as it gets. I asked for a refund and they said refunds can’t be given to card payments. Awful experience and such a shame for a 5* hotel.

    The Mandarin Oriental in Barcelona is a rare perfect jewel; the service at every level is flawless, unobtrusive, and personable. You are truly treated as a cherished guest, with everyone seeking ways to make your day a bit better. We were met at our car by two gracious hostesses who whisked us through check-in and escorted us personally to our rooms, where we were greeted by a bounteous arrangement of fresh fruits, nuts, and a tiered tray of petit fours. We stayed in a suite which was spacious and so tastefully furnished and thoughtfully designed that we felt as if we were visiting the home of our most discerning friends. The location is perfect, the food delightful and the service warm and flawless, including housekeeping, room service and best of all, Alberto, who was officially at the bell desk but seemed more like an efficient butler. We travel extensively, and are fortunate to be able to be highly selective, and to have the services of a superb travel concierge who recommended the Mandarin Oriental. It was a wonderful choice.

    MO Barcelona. The hotel was in a great central location. Our room (Junior Suite) was lovely. We stayed with our 12 year old son and the bed for him was good - no just a camp bed. There were some lovely chocolates and fruit waiting for us. The rooftop pool area was small but perfect for a quick dip. The staff quite simply could not do enough for us! We will definitely be back.

    Our honeymoon stay at the Mandarin was incredible. Every person we interacted with treated us with the highest level of customer service and the hotel itself was top notch. We enjoyed the views from the rooftop, the walkability of the location and the salmon bagel sandwiches we got for breakfast both mornings. I'd like to thank Viviana Iglesias for helping us make our reservation as I was the recipient of a two night stay voucher. She was timely in her email correspondence and was kind enough to extend the deadline on the certificate (because of COVID) so we could enjoy our honeymoon stay after our rescheduled wedding this September. The welcome amenity and rose petals on the bed was such a nice touch!

    Our first stay was 1.5-2 months ago and we were very satisfied. But this time, January 19 was my birthday and that's why we chose you again. We had a serious disappointment. The food was very bad. The hotel needs to improve itself and enrich its menu. Also, you have a female staff member and a bald male staff member serving us at breakfast service. they took care of us like it passed Unfortunately, it was very bad, we will not choose it again and we do not recommend it to anyone. Our money was wasted.Only roof and pool so nice...

    Exceptional Service. MO hotel chain has limited properties because they believe in quality. Such professionally trained staff from reception Ms Ines and conceirge support by Mr Luigi have no words, getting all arrangements for our dinner reservations in Disfrutar for our wedding anniversary and suggestion of exploring Barcelona no words. Just keep maintaining this service. The room were very clean and lots of complimentary drinks and also they decorated our bed very nicely for our wedding anniversary. These things make you come back to these hotel again and the price you pay is nothing for their service, Luxury room and location.

    I took a week long stay with my family at MO Barcelona. The rooms, design and location were excellent, but it was the service that made our stay so enjoyable. The room rates are not inexpensive, but the value is great.

    The Mandarin Oriental, Barcelona has excellent and spacious rooms. The beds are very comfortable. It has a very nice and comfortable lobby. There are multiple dining options on and around the property. The hotel is in a perfect location. The staff are some of the best, if not the best, that I have ever met.

    Perfect stay, very friendly staff and good service. Every one was very helpful, rooms were very nice and clean and hotel in nice stand, unlike other M.O hotels in famous locations. We only had breakfast and dinner at the Moments restaurant, but the food was very nice. Location is perfect, with many attractions within walking distance. Would definitely recommend and stay there again.

    The rooms are very nice, the staff are so helpful. The service here is second to none. I did find it odd with so few guests, that we (a couple on a relaxing holiday) were put in a room next to the noisy school playground on the NE side, but the room change was very easy and the hotel were so helpful. The only negative aspect really was that the food was a little bit of a let down - the restaurant was nice but the room service was bordering on the unacceptable considering the price. All in all, a lovely stay but room service food could be improved for an establishment of this quality.

    The staff were brilliant and so helpful. I enjoyed my stay very much and thank you to everyone. Great location and the facilities at the hotel are excellent overall. The massage i had by Carmila was incredible and the help from Ines at front desk was a notable part of my stay. Thanks once again to all and look forward to seeing you all again.     Bad service. The reception is empty all of the time and so crowded. The concierge is basically there just for showing off the we have a concierge and no one is at it!! The room is mostly dirty and there is no option to close some and turn on some it is just close it all or nothing. I’m fed up with the mandarin oriental hotel group it is just losing its prestige and I going in a decline. Overpriced, bad food, bad service and the staff amount is next to nothing !

    Mandarin Oriental Barcelona is one of my favorite city hotels - impeccable service, comfy rooms, a convenient location and a lovely spa. We had a small misunderstanding after checking in and the staff rectified the issue immediately. They went out of their way to accommodate us and made our stay a memorable one. Absolutely recommend Mandarin Oriental for any trip to Barcelona. I can't wait to return!

    During our first ever visit to Barcelona, the stay at the Mandarin was very pleasant and welcoming. Each of the staff members were very helpful and quick to assist. We were fortunate to have been given a balcony room facing the courtyard, which was a nice plus, as it provided a very, very quiet stay (would recommend facing courtyard to prevent noise). Hotel reception coordinated an early check-in to accommodate our travel plans, which is hardly ever possible in other hotels. Rooftop bar has a great view and vibe. Drinks were a little bit pricier than the rest of our visit, but the view was worth it. Location was central to everything we had planned to do during our visit, and there was an infinite amount of shopping immediately outside of our doorsteps.

    We wanted to come back to Barcelona where we got engaged, to celebrate our 20 anniversary. We were so happy with the quietly understated and elegant hotel and welcome. For us, just right! The hotel staff were, as expected - wonderful, but helpful and attentive in just the right measure. The facilities were great: the room was laid out in a slightly offset way, which when you thought about it was actually very cool; the roof top is a gem, with just the right number of people for the times, to give a fun but safe atmosphere. For what we wanted, M.O.BCN = Just, right!
