Visited in end of november. The price is reasonable for the location and the area. The common areas like the lobby, rooftop bar and pool have a great standard, although the pool was closed when we visited, you might want to double check before booking if that matters to you. As of the rooms, it looks great in pictures, but it's not there yet. The furniture is basic and the bed is not comfortable. The flooring is low quality; You can hear people upstairs and in the corridors. The view is on the courtyard, there are some motorized blinds that don't obstruct the sun fully, you can only have them fully up or down, you have to remove your card at the entrance to cut the electricity so that they stay mid-way, which is a bit fiddly. The bathroom is great though, nice shower pressure and double sink + large mirror. As of the staff, it's a mixed bag, some people from the front desk are welcoming while others are quite cold, depends on the day. In summary, great value for money if you want to have a great location, but the room is a bit of a let down, at least for the standard option.

Front desk staff are excellent. Breakfast room is sterile and food is marginal. Roof terrace is nice BUT FILTHY,, waitstaff very good. COVID CLEANLINESS IS NOT PRESENT IN THE ROOMS. Bathroom door was filthy on both sides, and all doors needed attention (main door, closet, minibar? Shower drainage was compromised, causing a mini flood. The 2 fans in the bathroom did not work at all. They give new towels every day but not new sheets...would rather they spend more time on cleaning than replacing towels and wasting water. Very well located and ok price, but will look for another hotel next time.

Amazing stay! Especially thanks to Giovanna who was a master at her craft in hospitality. She was very courteous when welcoming, helpful with arranging our Covid test, and surprisingly able to remember our room number which may be a small matter but very impressive! These little things upon many more is what made our stay here so enjoyable! We really appreciate the rooftop terrace and complimentary drink as a hotel guest. A view of casa Mila and BDLSF?! Unbelievable! We’ve traveled many places but this is a truly high value find that doesn’t break your budget!

The hotel is situated on the corner of Carrer de Marocca and the Passeig. One block or so south of the Diagonal underground station. If you are lucky enough, like us to have been allocated a room on the top floor and on the Carrer de Marocca / Passeig Corner 557, then you would be waking up to unobstructed views of the Pedrera and the magnificent towers of the Sagrada. The hotel has a top floor bar with great service, views and libations. The rooms are ok....nothing special and the beds are just the most uncomfortable. My wife whom happens to be a hotel designer mentioned that hotels do not typically spend a lot on mattresses because of the volume of guests and the fact they need changing every so often. But still, I really did not get much sleep. During our stay only one elevator was working and this was a huge pain in the posterior. The waits were excruciating. On check out is where things went awry for us as we had paid for our stay of 4 nights using our air line miles. The receptionist, asks me for proof that we had paid for our room. I mean, on checking in they have our details and said that we only needed to pay for the room tax on check out so they knew we had paid with our points, but on check out somehow they did not know!!!!. Anyhow, the whole episode has left a poor taste in our mouths. Pros....a great location........ Cons....beds uncomfortable.....and reception service poor...one elevator only working Will I go back.....no.....many other hotels in Barcelona.....

An excellent hotel, located in a fantastic spot, with great staff working here. We were early by many hours and they gave us a room at 9am without any fuss! Everyone was extremely nice. It’s a bit expensive but we definitely will stay here again. The details within the room is also fantastic! Thank you so much and hope to be back someday!

Rooms were very clean and decently sized. The tall ceilings made the rooms feel pretty spacious. The sound insulation from the windows were decent. We could still hear some of the street noise, but it was much better than expected. Location was great too.

1 star for location, 1 for the very polite and accommodating staff and 1 for cleanliness. Minus 10 ⭐️ for rooms with NO AIR (windows opened inside the hotel) and noisy A/C and the most uncomfortable pillows I’ve ever encountered.

We paid extra for the upgraded room with a balcony. For the price, I expected better. Our room was immediately adjacent to the pool, so there’s a staircase that leads from the bar upstairs down to the restrooms. You can hear people stomping up and down the stairs throughout the day and night. Additionally, you can hear the bass and music from the bar upstairs til between midnight and 1 am every night. If you intend to go to bed before that time, good luck. The bright spot is the hotel is centrally located and the staff were polite and friendly. However, for the price and supposedly upgraded room, I would have greatly preferred to not have to hear a noisy bar until after midnight every night. **edit. We did bring up the noise to the front desk on multiple occasions and no acknowledgement or accommodations were made.

Excellent location for seeing Barcelona. Great staff. Once your taxi located outside main busy road they will dash to you and get your bags in quick. Same when going back. Can't be any better location for shopping and eating out. Great roof top bar and grill for your enjoyment.

Best location in Barcelona. Walking distance to great restaurants and shopping. Stayed here for a few nights prior to a cruise and would definitely stay again. The rooftop bar is also very nice.

Excellent Stay! Top notch service! Everyone is so nice. Everything is YES. They never say no to anything. Everyone is so friendly and wants to help. Was really impressed by the level of service. And you can't ask for a better location. Like staying on Madison Avenue in NYC. WOW!

I was here at a conference. The hotel was selected and booked by the conference organizers. It was not easy for me to find this hotel and the entrance. Breakfast was OK, the room was good. Room facilities are good. It was a little complicated to switch off all the room lights completely off, but I have managed it (6 different switches are needed to click). It is a strange trend for many modern hotels installing complicated light switching systems for the multiple light zones and light decorations. The view from the room was "inside " = from my window, there was only a possibility to look to the internal wall and 2 🛗 elevators. Big pluss, the room is absolutely quiet. Thanks! The great views from the rooftop bar. The price is similar to other centrally located hotels (not cheap)

Beautiful hotel centrally located to so many sights and luxury stores. Large rooms, comfortable beds and room service. The rooftop bar gives gorgeous views of the city. Front desk staff courteous and helpful.

We stayed 4 nights here. Excellent walkability for shopping, dining and sightseeing. Great service at the desk during check in and check out. They helped us get taxis when needed and also offered recommendations. It was also nice to have a rooftop bar to go when we didn’t want to leave the hotel, although food was not great. Also need more tequila options at the bar. The only reason why I wouldn’t book this hotel again would be because the bed, pillows and sheets were not comfortable and could be better quality.

Unreliable wifi. Shower leaked everytime all over bathroom floor. Exorbitant breakfast prices, with no indication it wasn't complementary...a nice little surprise when you're hit with a massive bill upon checkout. Loud rooms, making it hard to sleep. On the plus side, it's in a great location. But not worth the pricetag for me.

Nice hotel located in the middle of Barcelona within walking distance to everything. Very reasonable priced. Cool design, and a clean facility. Lots of couches and lounge area on floor 1. Pool on floor 7 which is nice on a hot day and a good rooftop restaurant on floor 8. Breakfast is not included.

The lobby is pretty and smell so good. The service was helpful when we arrived at late night to check in. We stayed in this hotel for 5 nights. Room was clean and huge. The window you can view the main shopping street. The location is perfect! BUT, one think I have to mention, when we stayed and we kept hear to water sound whatever was from next door or upstairs. Keep in mind if you can’t sleep with water sounds sometimes appear, just buy the earplugs. Haha because the location is so good. The roof top bar is cute and you can see the Segrada Familia. Pity that we did not have chance to use the pool though. The pool has a good view.

at the reception it is difficult to view a room for later booking, even if the hotel is NOT fully booked. it seems as if they don't have overview of current booking status, but the rooms are nice and recomendable. cozy coffee terrasse on 8th floor with friendly staff.

Absolutely amazing experience! We booked the place after reading the reviews, and were worried about being disappointed. The staff is friendly and accommodating. Breakfast is great and rooftop is lively with excellent views. I would only suggest that you take the room facing the east side as they have little balconies and sun, especially needed in the winter.

Our stay at Hotel Condes de Barcelona was absolutely amazing. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make our experience unforgettable. Picture this – as our taxi pulled up, the team was already there, ready to assist with our luggage. It was a small but thoughtful gesture that set the tone for the exceptional service we were about to receive. The check-in process was a breeze, thanks to a young lady whose name I unfortunately forgot. But her kindness, helpfulness, and warm welcome made a lasting impression. She not only efficiently handled the formalities but also ensured that our room was tailor-made for comfort and enjoyment. And boy, was it! Our room was a sanctuary – spotlessly clean, incredibly spacious, and exuding a cozy charm that made it feel like a home away from home. Opting for a front room with a balcony turned out to be a brilliant choice, allowing us to soak in the energy of the bustling city. The hotel's location in an area adorned with luxury stores added an extra layer of convenience and indulgence to our stay. It was a paradise for those who love a bit of upscale shopping. And let's not forget the rooftop bar – a hidden gem that not only catered to guests but also welcomed the public. The views were breathtaking, and the atmosphere was just what we needed to unwind. Our experience was so delightful that we're already counting down the days until we can return to Hotel Condes de Barcelona. I wholeheartedly recommend it to fellow travelers who appreciate not just a place to stay but a destination that crafts an experience of comfort, luxury, and exceptional service. The staff's dedication shines through, making this hotel a standout choice in the heart of Barcelona. 1. Cleanliness: 10/10 2. Comfort: 10/10 3. Amenities: 10/10 4. View: 10/10 5. Bathroom: 10/10 6. A super hotel in a beautiful area. Lovely helpful staff, and very pet friendly to our dog. The rooftop bar is gorgeous at night and the views are spectacular. Rooms have everything you need and bathrooms are big and the shower really good.

Hotel location is good and convenient to go shopping at designers store and everything. The front desk area is so small and sometimes their English isn’t very good. I didn’t get the 4 star quality from the room , facilities and front desk services. One day, my son and I came back from lunch. Maybe they didn’t want to open the door for us, we were fine totally, but there is a white guy with grey hair mimicked me with unfriendly expressions even. Which is super rude and unfriendly. I am not sure why he and his crew did it, maybe a cultural thing, lol … morning shift staffs are diverse cultures & friendly. The room service team is good and attentive. Our room is at the end of hallway, it’s quite and no hear of other guests at all which is nice.

This hotel made my stay in Barcelona perfect. The rooms are beautiful and the hotel staff were kind and helpful. The location is also very ideal with many shops and restaurants around, and a metro stop close by as well.

This was my first time in Barcelona and pulling up to this hotel i was so impressed and excited to check in until i did….. To start the receptionist arent nice or friendly at all but i didnt let that get in the way of my experience because i thought maybe they are having a bad day. Once we receive i room, we go up and i was SO disappointed. Walking in the room smelled terrible. Like it hadn’t been clean. We had the urban room with view of the garden which we were in room 526 and it has NO view of the garden, it actually has a huge window that looks into the other rooms so we couldn’t keep our window open at all. I was very disappointed in the room and tried calling receptionist to see if we could upgrade and was just told no the hotel is booked for the night even after complaining about the smell which was weird because when i looked online it said it had availability for the better rooms. We stayed even though i would’ve liked to cancel but no one ever reached back out to ask if our stay was better. Oh, our room also was in a small hallway where our room and the housekeepers room where they keep their things so in the morning thats all you hear. The door is literally right next to eachother. Terrible room.

Good hotel , friendly staff, good food. Restrained decoration, stylish but not to gaudi. (sic). Well positioned Close to Casa Bastilo and plenty of bars and tapas restaurants. Not the cheapest but a nice treat. Roof bar has a good view as well.

Superb hotel in Eixample in BCN. Just the perfect location for the best shops, bars and restaurants. Very cool rooftop bar too.

Lovely hotel, very friendly staff. Uncomfortable beds and noisy AC let the rooms down. We did ask for it to be looked at but sadly no change. Would return but to a different room. The lifts were very slow due to one being out of action a lot. The roof top terrace was great but the main host was horribly rude. Even other staff commented on her attitude...

Beauty of a boutique hotel. Fabulous location. Nice feel, reasonably well kept. Great roof bar. Breakfast was just right. Ants in bathroom and desk area, loud and sqeaky glass bathroom doors.

Absolutely excellent location. The staff make this place and Bazza on the roof top bar is immense. Friendly, knowledgeable and a real asset to this hotel (you’re lucky to have him). Nothing is too much trouble the rooms are lovely and the roof top bar is top notch. Will stay here again if for nothing else for Bazza’s service.

Great location friendly staff at front but I had several issues come up. The wifi does not work half of the time. $45 disappeared from a wallet I had left in the room. The bathroom door does not lock or even stay shut. Very uncomfortable if your staying with others.

Best value and highly recommended hotel to stay in Barcelona! - Located in the best and prime location, but the price is very affordable and attractive. Worth it! - Just across the street to all the luxury boutique stores and walking distance to a lot of attractions in the city (and also nearby to a very nice tapas restaurant, Cerveseria Catalana) - My family feel very safe staying and walking in this area as compared to other parts of the city - Spacious hotel room (comfortable big bed, complimentary mini bar, clean bathroom) with balcony was superb! Really appreciate that the hotel has prepared a cot with all the necessities and toiletries for my baby prior to our arrival. As requested, we were allocated a room with a bathtub and facing the Main Street 😍 It wasn’t as noisy as I thought, so it didn’t disturb us at night - Staffs were all great and welcoming with their smiles regardless of the time in the day. Always ready to assist! 🙂 - Their terrace cafe is a must go place to chill and check out to have a view of the city 🏙️ Will definitely continue to recommend Hotel Condes De Barcelona and will come back to stay again if we are in the city :)

Plus includes nice location, cool interior designs and super friendly front staff. Minus includes super thin echo walls (maybe it was just my room but the balcony promotes purple from talking loudly and smoking outside at 3 am on week days - why I’m writing this review now), intermittent wifi signals (cuts off half of the time during zoom meetings), and half of the elevators not working. Overall it’s a solid 3-4 star place but I expected more for the price. Great if you can sleep through noises, terrible if you need some sleep while jetlagged. My other hotel (Catalonia in Plaza Espana) had double paned window that this one does not have. Probably would not stay here again for future business travels due to the thin walls/old balcony window without sound insulation in a city like Barcelona.

Great, central location. Very friendly and helpful staff. Big THANK YOU especially to Axel, Carlos and Sofia who organized the New Year's Eve perfectly for me and friends. I would hire the 3 of them if I had a hotel.

The hotel is not on par with other 4-star hotels. The Wi-Fi was slow, beds are super hard (and I prefer firm beds!) and overall feels outdated

Really enjoyed staying here. Great location centrally located, near the train station. The roof top restaurant has great food. The hotel gave us coupons for 2 free drinks, very nice touch. There is pool on the roof, on the lower level there is a small gym with a sauna and changing rooms. The hospitality staff went out of their way to help us to booking train tickets for part of our journey. Highly recommend this hotel and its great staff.

There are two sides to hotel Condes, literally. There's the front and right side with balconies which is fabulous and as advertised in photos: great rooms, great bathrooms, modern, etc. Its where the entrance is. And then there's a side with vertical glass slats that almost looks like another hotel. The room didn't look like the pictures online, the bathroom had this tiny green tile that was all corroded. The fixtures were loose, the shower leaked, the bed was very low quality. Just kind of odd. I'm wondering if maybe it was recently taken over by Condes and in the process of a remodel and used for overflow or something. We came during a very popular football game and we got one of the verticle slat rooms. It was a rough couple of nights. The AC doesn't get turned on until the summer in that room, ok no biggie. But there is no air circulation, no fans and floor to ceiling windows with light colored shades. Theyre fixed, the heat from the sun comes through, you cant open them at all, and the bed is right there in front of them. Whatever temp it was outside it was 10-20' hotter inside. We really try not to be "those Americans" (whining about AC) so we didn't say anything the first night. But the second day reached about 70'F outside and it felt like we were being baked. We were sweating and couldnt sleep. We popped into the hallway a couple times, rode the elevator up to the bar or down to the street to cool off then finally called the front desk and maintenance. They gave us a fan. It helped, it was loud, but we tried to make it work. Both of us are tired but neither one can sleep. We had only slept a few hours in the two nights there- we planned to be in Barcelona for 6 days and we were desperate for a good night sleep. I'll be honest I was googling other hotels. My husband insists we speak to the front desk once more. So he goes to the front desk, it's Monday, probably 7am and they have another room they can put us in. This is why I still gave them 5 stars. They were very accomidating and moved our luggage for us and were very kind. The new room was amazing 👏 we slept like babies. Good beds, modern bathrooms, A/c could turn on or off at will but we never had to use it, the windows opened. It was posh. I would 100% recommend it and gladly stay again. I feel like the hotel staff was attentive and responsive. We were probably too slow to complain at first but that's on us, and there was a popular game that weekend so they may truly not had a lot of options for us anyway the first time we complained. The location is excellent, you're right down the street from some of Barcelonas coolest Gaudi homes and the Basillica of the Holy family is visible from the rooftop bar - which is also amazing. And they give us two free drink tickets. Alls well that ends well as they say and it ended excellent ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

  • 5/5 송도현 1 year ago on Google
The location of the hotel is perfect for tourist as it's close to touristy area in Barcelona. Also you could enjoy the beautiful view of two of Gaudi's master pieces from the rooftop. The room is big enough and it was very clean with cozy beddings. And for the staff, they are very professinal and kind, especially I deeply appreciate to the night shift staffs as they tried to offer the best service they could do! Highly recommend!
