I absolutely loved this place. The Greek lady who runs it is very helpful and friendly. The place offers a wide range of artistic crafts you can buy and has a unique style. There's no sign outside the gallery so be careful not to miss it!

Great gallery in the Born district of Barcelona. We got a wonderful tour of the gallery on a spontaneous visit. Maxó supports many local artists and offers modern art at fair prices. We bought a larger framed picture and had the gallery send it to Germany. Everything worked out great. The picture was with us for about 3 weeks (the time frame was agreed upon). The picture was packaged very professionally and protected multiple times. Absolute recommendation. There are also many smaller pictures that are good to take with you as a souvenir.

We bought 4 pieces of art from them and had them shipped to Dallas. I would highly recommend them!

Such a charming little Gallery in the heart of Barcelona. I fell in love with Maxos layered pieces of local bars and shops and picked up a bookstore one with beautiful Frida on the outside. Maxo wrapped my piece up beautifully and it travelled back with me back to the states perfectly.

Great gallery with an impressive choice and a very friendly and professional team. I had a problem when installing the frame at home and at that time the gallery sent Jorge to install the painting for me! And this for free! This demonstrates the gallery’s involvement in the relationship with its clients! In addition, I emphasize Jorge’s professionalism! A big thank you to the Maxo gallery which I highly recommend!

Very interesting work in the Gallery, well worth a visit. We bought three framed photos of places we had visited. Maxó demonstrated how to view them with direct light to see the multi-dimensions of the layered photos. Very cool, and a great souvenir from Barcelona.

The first impression was fantastic and the art seemed very appealing. The sales girl was exceptionally and helpful cheerful. However I soon realized the next day when i went to find the gallery again that there are many more than just one in that area. The second place - where the salesperson wasn’t as nice had the Exact same artwork and made me re-think the idea that we were buying some unique art - maybe instead its just mass production and not as valuable as first led to believe- I didn’t buy anything at the second place after coming to this conclusion- overall well made frames and cool artwork is now on my walls - but i feel i may have been duped and paid too much

I bought a painting at Galería Maxo a few weeks ago and had a great experience overall. Elisa, the girl working there, is probably the best sales woman I’ve met so far. She gave great advice and was super friendly. They also offer an installation service and Jorge was extremely professional and approachable. I love the end result!

I stumbled upon Galeria Maxo during my first visit to Barcelona and I fell in love with the artwork. I ended up buying a piece when I returned to Canada. Shiva helped me choose from a few options and the purchasing and shipping process was seamless!

Lovely to find this gallery nestled in the Gothic Quarter.. Just strolling for the afternoon with my daughters, but drawn into this lovely gallery, initially just for a look but could not resist coming home with a couple of reminders of our trip to Barcelona! Very welcoming staff, non-pressured into buying anything. Spoke with knowledge about local artists and a lovely chat to owner and his female employee about Barcelona and where we were from! Pablo was super nice and welcoming. He helped us find the perfect gift for my mother. I wasn’t originally planning on buying anything but wanted to check out the gallery regardless. I was amazed by the colorful and thoughtful selection of art inspired by Catalunya and Barcelona. I’m taking home a 3D frame of a white wall with a blue door surrounded by flowers and inside the door you can see a home. Thank you, Pablo!

I went in to hide from a sudden rain storm and I am oh so glad I did! I was looking for the right piece of art for my dental office that was modern and not too tacky. I was feeling like I would never find the right piece and then I stumbled upon this gallery and saw this!! I bought four for each of the rooms in my office and was able to reach out to gallery to get two more made for an expansion! Highly recommend!!!

Galería Maxó is a lovely gallery that makes beautiful art accessible to everyone in Barcelona. Eclectic and fun with lots of gorgeous colors, design, and original artwork. There are artists from all over the world that sell their paintings in this gallery; Argentina, Italy, Slovakia etc. plus the cats !! Gala and Basquiat are the cutest little artist helpers and the gallery is beautifully decorated.

Amazing gallery where the rules are there are no rules! What a happy place, we stopped by randomly because of the oozing vibes of happiness and it was the most memorable part of our day.

What a wonderful find in the old city. We came upon this awesome galeria as we wondered through the plaza and loved the works of art, as well as the owner and patrons who could not have been nicer. We bought a few things for home and will be back to get more. This place is a gem not to be missed!

Cruz from Argentina made my whole day; hanging and chatting with him was a true delight! The gallery is tucked in a small street and defines the phrase hidden gem. I just happened to walk by and notice the unique and welcoming façade. What an amazing experience and I took home a piece of Barcelona! There were two cats to welcome you and another really awesome employee but I didn’t catch her name. 10/10 best gallery I’ve been to!
