Hands on, one of the best Italian restaurants I've been to in my life. The appetizers were so delicious that we ordered another plate of the olives. Pasta, fresh, not too rich a sauce, not too heavy but packed with flavor. Dessert was perfectly balanced and the staff was super friendly. Would 100% go again, definitely visit if you are in Barcelona :)

Best bolognese I’ve ever had and the pasta was cooked to perfect al dente perfection. The boyfriend also loved his cannelloni dish, which he said was very flavourful. The sauce was incredible. We also shared the tiramisu which was light and delicious. 10/10 would go again if we lived here, but we highly recommend. Only negative was the espresso martini was meh, but I don’t think they’re as popular here as they are back home so no fault there. Still enjoyed it!

Our total experience was wonderful ! The food was expertly made, fresh and delightfully tasty. The service of the staff was friendly, unpretentious and very efficient. Nico, the owner, in particular was very personable, attentive and authentic. You can see, feel and taste the love of food and the dining experience that he offers his clients. All his menu items are homemade, and made with a loving care. The fresh mozzarella salad was excellent, as was my eggplant parmigiana. My husband had the saffron scallop risotto, which was superb. And the wine selections were wonderland decently priced. We’d come back again and again, and highly recommend this restaurant and dining experience. PS. The homemade ice cream was outstanding.

This may have been one of the best evenings we have ever had with a magnificent combination of incredible food, outstanding service and amazing ambiance! Chef and owner Niko excelled in creating a treasured experience. His menu is exceptional and we tried just about everything. If you are in Barcelona and you haven't been to Galu you simply haven't haven't experienced the best. Trust me on this 5 star recommendation.

We overheard a woman in our hotel talking about how good this restaurant was and immediately made a reservation. Every single thing we ordered was absolutely delicious. The owner is adorable and so nice. The pasta is made by hand and every single dish is thoughtful and cooked fresh. You must try the artichokes! Also highly recommend the truffle tagliatelle, the eggplant parmigiana (the owner recommended this) and finishing with the granita! We were also shocked at how inexpensive it was. If I lived here I’d eat / drink here often. It’s clear the owner cares a lot about his restaurant and the food! Be sure to make a reservation!

My friend and I made reservations for 8pm, opening time here. Definitely worth while being early as we got the opportunity to talk to the server and bar tender, lovely people who made perfect suggestions regarding portions and pairings. Everything we had was absolutely delicious but the standout was the Artichoke antipasto, incredibly simple, seared with a bed of pesto sauce & sprinkled with Parmigiano-Reggiano and served with cherry tomatoes. It was exquisite!

This is a delicious hidden gem in Barcelona! Their food is AMAZING and the service is EXCELLENT. We went there for dinner and the experience was very good. The waiters know everything about the dishes, delicious wine, everything is freshly made. Highly recommend this place if you want an authentic Italian food experience Restaurante súper recomendado si quieres comer comida Italiana. Es buenísimo!

Great place if you craving Italian food in a little bit more chic ambiance. The carpaccio is delicious and so is the pasta. The staff is very friendly and attentive. Will definitely pay more visits here when feeling for some Italian food in a very calm atmosphere. Highly recommended!

This is one of the best restaurants in Barcelona! I have been here 4 times because my friends and I are obsessed with it. The service is amazing and Chef Nico makes sure everyone always has an amazing evening. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants authentic Italian food!

Great spot close to the center. Very friendly staff, waiter recommended exactly fitted bottle of wine to our meal. I’ve tried for first time black spaghetti with shrimps and can truly recommend. Taste was a lil bit surprising but worth trying for sure. 5/5

The food here has been the best we have had on our recent visit to Barcelona. The lamb chops were cooked perfectly and easy to cut alongside amazingly roasted potatoes. My truffle pasta was sensational, it has the correct balance of truffle and was not too overpowering. I would definitely return just to have this again. Both dessert were incredible and packed full of flavour. The staff were also very friendly and attentive. Starter: bread and olives €3 Mains: Lamb chops €19 pappardelle pasta with sausage truffle and cream €16 Dessert: coconut panna cotta €5.50 and chocolate coulant €7.50
