Be careful when you take the train and have 2 people close to you and try to help (they can be pick pocket or thief’s). Today I face it, from this station they follow and sit down with me and one of them showing a map covering my belongings, one of them try to chit chat and another one try to open your bag (she almost got my wallet). As a tourist please be CAREFUL!!! Mind your belongings!!! It such a shame because it will impact negatively to the city and make the tourists won’t come back to their city anymore. Once again, PLEASE BE CAREFUL!!!

Being one of the main train stations in the city the place is far from practical or glamorous. Dark, often dirty, super hot in summer, screens that hardly ever work fine, no public toilets, very few benches in relation to the amount of people circulating here all day long... It needs a thorough renovation which raises the standard overall.

A decent public place, what can I say. I can't speak in the name of other comments but I am fully aware that there could be pickpockets in the area. But that's simply because it is a very transited open area, that's why there's often a lot of rubbish. On the flip side, it feels safe no walk normally here, as a place to meet, there's sculptures, it is a place with green and benches to sit and, a lot of times, they reform it to do certain events (the images here are from Winter 2022).

Really cool underground train station right at the Placa Catalunya in beautiful downtown Barcelona Spain! So much down there. It's large and wide open. So many cafes and food booths and little shops with items to purchase at your will. You can get cell phone cables and headsets, along with collectibles. Many ticket machine kiosks so you won't have to wait too long to buy your train ticket. Please be sure to get one. They do not like fare jumpers. And the will jam you up if you try to pull a fast one on the Spanish train authorities. It's really cheap for the multi ride ticket. You get a paper ticket sometimes. Opt for the credit card style and load it onto your cell phone. Easy as pie amigo! Cheers!

I was there about 2 weeks ago. There was a problem with a train. This one couldn't leave, which is why all other trains were delayed. The problem: It was getting more and more crowded. I panicked at this crowd of people. It was so unbelievably hot in the station that we got on the train completely wet and the air conditioning was very cold.

Navigating this train station can be quite a challenge. Even if you've visited multiple times, finding your train and the route to it remains needlessly complicated. Simplifying the layout and signage would greatly improve the experience for passengers. Safety is a significant concern at this station. The persistent dirtiness and unpleasant odors contribute to an overall feeling of insecurity. Improvements in cleanliness and security measures are urgently needed to enhance the passenger experience and safety.

Dirty. Very dirty. No working elevator to Metro, escalators only go up. Very confusing inside, not enough clear signage. The ticket agents are helpful, but the security guards are not helpful. Outside, it is incredibly crowded.

Very franquista (fascist style) of architecture which I do not like but it's the core of the city center. Typical meeting point and where you take buses to the airport terminals too. Several big department stores like Corte Ingles.

The people that work at this station are useless and rude. The machine that reads the tren/metro eat my tickect then when it came back out it got stuck and wouldn't work. I do have an NIE but I am a foreigner living in Spain. I went to the ticket counter but they refused to issue me a new despite me buying the monthly 3-zone pass on the app. Why? Because they wanted my passport. Why would I carry my passport with me everywhere when I am not a tourist here? Despite paying for a lot for the monthly pass I had yo buy a new daily tickect. They were rude, had no solutions and the experience is always horrible with them. Go to Barcelona-Sants for any help with train/metro passes, they are friendly, efficient and very helpful.

A lady w/. long hair works at the information boots(or R train ticketing office) was very rude. I don't know what's wrong w/. her, but she should not work in a public place like that. She does not have a mind of helping people! Very rude!!

I visited this place couple of times, several days ago. I like this beautiful and active place. But horrible thing happened at La Rambla where I used to walk with my wife and friends. Blood-shed tragedy should not happen any more. No more terrors!!

The metro is soooo hot and stuffy during the summer, absolutely no air conditioning. The trains are air conditioned tho, why not the stations as well😖😖

This is probably one of the worst train stations in all Spain. Barceloneans and Catalans should be ashamed.
