The University campus is very beautiful. It's a state. The University of Burdwan (also known as Burdwan University or B. U.) is a premier Four Star public university in Purba Bardhaman, West Bengal, India. It was established by the West Bengal Government as a teaching and affiliating university on 15 June 1960 with six graduate departments and 30 undergraduate colleges spread over three districts that come under the jurisdiction of the university. The jurisdiction covers Birbhum district, Purba Bardhaman district and Hooghly district except Srirampore subdivision. The main campus is of 398 acres (approximately). The University has four academic campuses —1) Golapbag Campus 2) UIT campus for Engineering. 3) Rajbati Campus 4) Tara bag Campus for Medical Education. It has been awarded Four Star status by NAAC under University Grants Commission, Govt. of India. This University is famous for Law, Management, Engineering & Medical Education.

The university has been accredited with 'Grade A' by NAAC in the year 2016..The European Space Agency wishes to thank The University of Burdwan for the successful Galileo position fix made on 3 July 2013 in Burdwan.. The last maharaja of Burdwan, Udaychand Mahatab, left the entire property of Burdwan to the government of West Bengal after the zamindari system ended in the 1950s.. The then chief minister of West Bengal, Bidhan Chandra Roy took the initiative of establishing a university at the premises of the palace of the maharaja.. Sukumar Sen (ICS) was the first vice-chancellor. The university began with the humanities division, with the science and engineering courses included afterwards.. It's now situated beside the MUC Womens' College where the administrative works are being done..There is a Library, and museum also..

University education was good from the beginning. But due to the very low marks, the academic career of the students would have ended completely. Compared to other states of India, academically lagged behind. These university students scored less in the academy even in the job test.

The service of the University is good but need to be more better and the ambiance inside the building is not good it's need to be more better and more develop

Good , neither best nor very good. University is take too many times for anything. Education is not very good. professors are very good but unfortunately unserious .

It is a nice University . It is situated at Golapbag , Burdwan in West Bengal . One can take a Toto to reach there from Burdwan railway station.

It is like a Second home to me....as I have learnd so many things from this place. This place has made me feel mature. I haven't seen such a place where we can find peace and happiness ☺️. Such an amazing spot for visitors to cherish the nature ..This place has been so much of Nurture. The place to ensure you that everything secular in nation

Good.... Well clean building of burdwan University...there are VC, register, exam controller office (sitting here). Migration, hostel cash counter are also here .

Good place but it can be more clean. Roads are not good as in rainy season, there are many potholes and waterlogged. If you are going there by car, then be careful in rainy season. Otherwise okay.
