It's a two-storey building in the corner of a busy market area of Bapu Bazar, but it's absolutely worth every single penny you spend (it's not expensive, BTW) and clearly, it's a must try restaurant in Udaipur. Location At one end of the Bapu Bazaar street, it's at a walking distance if you are shopping in the vicinity. Rickshaws and cabs are easily available. Vibe A mix of family crowd and friends. The restaurant is extremely popular for its thalis and its food, in general. So, don't be surprised to find queues on weekend evenings and during lunch hours. It's plainly designed and very spacious. Food It's excellent!! There is literally no other word that can do justice to the food. Their gravies are flavorful, the quantity is fantastic, and it's the kind of food that will make you keep coming again and again. Their ground level restaurant is for à-la-carte diners while the first floor is reserved for thali-eating diners. For à-la-carte diners, feel free to order any gravy along with naans or parathas and you will not be disappointed. Do not forget to order their pineapple custard and gulab jamuns at the end. For thali diners, make sure you try the Rajasthani local dal-batti-churma (Google how to eat it properly). They have four sabzis, three daals, rice, three types of bread, farsan, sweet, fryums, and buttermilk. It's a complete meal that will leave you satiated for hours. Pricing Fairly decent for the amazing food they serve. A family of four can have a good lunch below 500. A thali costs 250 INR, as of October 2023. Parking Parking is available for diners.

The place is good for eating. For eating thali, there is a separate first floor. For ordering food from the la carte, you can have a sit in this luxurious kind of hall and have your order. Ambiance of the place is quiet.

Loved the food quality and taste. We chose to go for thalis and enjoyed every bit of it. In the thali we had two types of dal, bati, kadhi, chutney, pickle, salad, paneer sabji, seasonal sabji, rajma sabji, rice, chapati, fryums, chaas, sweet and more and we loved it.

Pleasant ambience, tasty food and price wise also good. We've ordered unlimited thali (with a set menu that changes daily probably) for 210₹ each which had 2 type of daal ( toor & baati ki dal ) 1 option each of steam rice & khichdi, which was really tasty. 1 type of Kadhi Tawa roti 1 Paneer & 1 rajma in gravy while bhindi ki sabji in vegetable options. Sweet & raita (limited to one bowl, unfortunately they both were super delicious) Along with these they offered salad and fryums. Situated right in the main chowk area, with different seating area divided for thali & A-la-carte menu. Thus a good option, must try and tasty option for lunch & dinner.

If you visit Bapu Bazar or Delhi Gate you must visit Bawarchi Restaurant. Quality of food is good, service is very fast, neat and clean ambience. Overall highly recommended.

After many year I with my Family dined at Bawarchi Restaurant in Udaipur and specifically, I had their Thali experience, which was Good. The thali consisted of a variety of traditional dishes from Rajasthan, including dal, sabzi, roti, rice, and desserts. The flavors were authentic and well balanced, and the portion sizes were generous as it was unlimited except for dessert. Each dish was cooked to perfection, and the spices and flavors were spot on. I particularly enjoyed the kadhi, moong sabzi, and rotis were like home made. The restaurant's atmosphere was great, I saw that they have changed everything. New interior and comfortable seating. The location is easily accessible as market croud is not that problematic. The service was also excellent, the staff was friendly and attentive. They were knowledgeable about the menu and made great recommendations. In terms of pricing, I found Bawarchi Restaurant's thali experience to be reasonably priced for the quality of food and service provided. Overall, I recommend Bawarchi Restaurant for anyone looking for a traditional and authentic thali experience in Udaipur. The atmosphere, service, and food are all good to go.

Food is excellent, no compromise in quality also. I ate Thali and a lot of varieties there. Aam Panna is now my favourite & in the desert I also ate a Laddoo/Pinni which was very fine. The Thali price is 230/- (Worthy) and it is unlimited but you can't share it with anyone. Easy to find.. full marks👍👍

Bawarchi Restaurant- Provide a hygienic food for that serves Rajasthani and Gujarati thali. Neat and clean restaurant and food quality is five star rated and staff behaviour is very good 👍. This is a vegetarian restaurant. food delivery is always available. I will suggest this restaurant in to eat a gujarati and punjabi thali.

It is a pure veg multi cuisine restaurant where you can have punjabi, gujarati, rajasthani and jain food. The restaurant is three floored. On the ground floor you can have the multicuisine dishes in a nice booth set up. If you want to have Thali with unlimited servings you will have to got on the first floor. The third has restrooms. We had thali here and the food especially the rasgullas were amazing. I would definitely suggest to try thali here.

We came here by somebody's recommendation and this is undoubtedly one of the best restaurants in Udaipur. They serve unlimited thali as well as a-la-carte. We got lucky to try their well-known Jain/Rajasthani/Gujrati thali at Rs 250/- per person only. You'll get variety of Curries, Dal, Kadhi, Rice, Khichdi, Dal, Bati, Churma & what not. Every item in that Thali is delightful & you can not have better deal at this price for sure. This is a must-visit restaurant & kudos to the entire staff of Bawarchi for doing such an amazing job.

This is the fantastic hotel. At first glance, the decorations of the room look elegant and beautiful. The panoramic view is spectacular and I enjoyed watching the sunsets during my stay there. Other than that, the food was scrumptious! I agreed if people said this hotel is filled with many useful facilities because it does.
