Restaurant deserves 5 stars for its ambience as multiple seating options available although indoors felt more comfortable during daytime. Serves both veg and non veg including drinks. Menu has wide variety from indian, Chinese to italian. Taste and quality was superb for both chinese and indian dishes which we ordered. Prices are a bit over priced but completely worth it. Will recommend to visit during evenings for dinner, to enjoy its ambience and good food👍

My favourite dinner place in Udaipur. Amazing ambience. (You don't get any Lake view here, but the lake is very accessible from this place). It has outdoor and indoor seating, and all sorts of cuisines. My favourite here is fish fingers, cheese balls, and apple pie. Must must try! It's a good value for money & definitely a must visit in your trip to Udaipur.

This place is a true representation of the Udaipuri ( if that's a word) culture and royalty. Set right next to the river, it has the exquisite ambience surrounded by garden and feels like you are walking into a big lavish Bunglow. We were there when they had a nice evening music. The best time to go there is the night time. Make sure to take a place in thier lawn and it's a su like experience. The food by the way is equally expensive but I think that's what helps it not being too crowded.

Nice laid back location near Lake fathesagar. Very nice Ambience and high on cleanliness. Staff is more professional as compared to most of restuarant in Udaipur with neat costumes. Restaurant consistes of outdoor garden, and two different indoor seating, bar, cafe and waiting room. Beautiful Decor. Live music and grate food. Parking is not a Hassel.

Fantastic place for a dinner. It is a standalone restaurant in a converted villa. The villa is nicely done. 1559 comes from the year of entertainment of the city by Maharana Udai Sigh. Like many of the restaurants in the city, the choice of authentic Rajasthani dishes is crowded out by the usual Punjabi and Chinese dishes. They do have a nice selection of Rajasthani dishes though. We ordered Gattha Kadi, Keema Batti, Kulfi and phirni. All of them were excellent. Jagdish was our server, who are very nice and traditional They serve veg and non-veg. They have a lovely bar area also. There are different seating area... Two inside and one in the veranda and one in the lawn. The lawn was closed due to rain when I went there.

This is really hyped for no joy.. the place is good.. located in a heritage home.. but the food taste is just not right.. combine this with sad service.. then u will also feel the price is superbly unjustified.

I don’t really make efforts to compliment restaurants in reviews but this had to be done. Fish and Chips was a masterclass dish. If you love Fish, this is the food for you. I have eaten this dish in a lot of restaurants, but have never enjoyed it as much as this. The crunchy skin and the smooth texture of the fish just satisfied my every bite over my tongue. Try the apple crumble pie too! Its sweet with caramel and cinnamon. I enjoyed it so much! If you’re in Udaipur as a tourist, you need to eat here!

Old heritage cottage building converted into this beautiful restaurant with super decors. Food & service is excellent. Tried Laal Maas, Alfredo Pasta, Roti, Paneer Butter Masala, Chicken Carbonara Pasta, Jeera rice & everything has been prepared to our liking. Spice level is adjusted as per your liking. They don't put any service charge on the bill. Parking is outside & can accommodate atleast 5 cars. Clean restroom/washroom is available inside. Near Fateh Sagar Lake. Seating is available both inside & outside as well. Most of the guides & cab drivers take you to this restaurant.

Food here is unbelievably tasty! I ordered laal maans (their chef's speciality) and chilli chicken. Both dishes treated my taste buds nicely. The royal ambience of restaurant adds another star to this place. A must visit.

This place has the unique name 1559 AD. Well after few guesses and Google I got to know it's the day when Udaipur was founded. Overall a fabulous experience. Came for visit my friend who is from this place took me there. The moment I reached the gate it really gave very awesome feeling of like I arrived at some cozy and calm place. Superb live performance of music, good food, good staff and a feeling which can't be described which you will experience when you sip a glass of wine or booze beer with friends. I am definitely looking to visit this place again whenever next time visiting the Jaipur. Ambiance - 5/5 Food - 4/5 Taste - 4/5 Value for money - 4/5

Been there for lunch, they have good non veg food and beers. Food is very appetizing and a very rustic place. Courteous staff. Food a bit pricey but can improve general hygeine of kitchen and dining place.

Apart from ambiance and representation didnt like it. The taste was pathetic. we ordered Nachos platter, Veg Manchurian, and one of the kebab, a punjabi curry and Tandoori rotis. Only veg manchurian was fine. Rest all the dishes were too pathetic to be eaten. I really had high hope considering the google reviews and ratings. You can easily find better food at the random street vendor. Since the food wasn't good, I will say price is too damn high to be waste on the kind of food they serve. Only go if you are in to ambiance and visual esthetic. won't recommend to an Indian epicure.

1559 AD should be on your list if you are visiting Udaipur. Parking is easily available and free. It transports you to old world charm. It's tranquil ambience, delicious food, live music everything is a perfect setting for a luxury dinner with family or someone special. We loved daal baati churma, navratan korma, fish and chips and dum aloo. Ramesh ji is an excellent person when it comes to hospitality. He took personal care of each detail. A must must visit!

1559 AD is a really good place to have dinner they have an equal amount of options for both Vegetarian and Non Vegetarian and their service is also very good. I would highly recommend this place for Dinner if you plan to go with Friends and Family.

Overly priced and food is also not good. Even after telling the waiter so many times that food should be less spicy, food was very spicy. They charge 55 rs for a roti and that too very small roti, will not recommend anyone to go there..... the only best part which can go positive about this hotel was, there musicians. The person who was playing flute, was awesome.

Came in for the laal Maas. Ended up ordering kebabs, soup, laal Maas, and keema baati. The laal Maas was exceptional. Everything about it. The color, consistency, spicyness, and flavours. The same base was used for the keema baati which was also really good. Please please please visit this place for the laal Maas. This restaurant is expensive but in my experience the laal Maas dish was within the usual price you find in other normal restaurants.

This place was fantastic. I’m giving 5 stars just for the service. We’ve never tried Daal Baati and coming to Udaipur we were super excited to try it. When we mentioned this to our wait staff, he went above and beyond for us to have a great experience. He went washed his hands and came back and literally used his hands to break the baati for us and taught us how to eat it. Some places and people unexpectedly go that extra mile to make it a lasting memory for you forever! Highly highly recommend this place!

Located very close to The Lalit Udaipur, a great spot for cosy lunches or romantic dinners. They have sitting indoors and outdoors. Doesn't have a lake views, but their ambience is quiet good. Their service and food is delicious too!

The place is good with a good atmosphere and service..The food was decent in terms of quantity and taste.Mutton keema with peas was a bit okayish..but the afghani chicken,naan and rice were good.The dessert was also okay. The garden adds beauty to the place .The staff is good and service is fast.

Right from when Mr. Umed Singh, with his fantastic moustache, welcomes you at the gate, till the sweet dish is served, 1559AD checks all the points as a premium restaurant. Service, food quality, ambience, courtesy, live music, and the Rajasthani touch. Mr. Ramesh Joshi not only serves, but also recommends the best dishes, and makes multiple trips to the table to ensure everything is fine. We had Laal Maas, the top top dish in my opinion. To balance the spices of laal maas, Safed Murgh was ordered, which was surprisingly light and creamy. Keema Baati, even though being ultra heavy, did entice our taste buds, the taste was perfect when coupled with the keema curry they gave, and a bit of safed murgh gravy. For the Appetizers we had Reshmi Seekh Kebab, it was a respectable 8/10. And the sweet dish was Pista Badam Kulfi, which was loaded with dry fruits. Overall, a beautiful, tasty, and heavy setting, but not an evening that we have any complaints about. For people who haven't been here before, make this your first dinner stop in Udaipur, The location is also perfect between the two lakes, you can go for an evening stroll to Fateh Sagar for the sunset, before arriving here. We took a garden table in the month of October, and the weather was very pleasant. And please do not forget to tip the fantastic staff for their service, 1559 does not charge a service charge. Once again, a heartfelt thank you to 1559 AD and their staff. 🙏🏻

Food was delicious especially the The Lal Mass and service was also great. If you go at night time it’s better to sit outside in the lawn they also have a White screen there we watched IPL side by side maybe you get to watch some other awesome thing with your dinner. No need to book pre-hand as they may charge extra for that so just go dine-in.

Well it was amazing, the food was very delicious. Try gatta currry, it is a hidden gem. The ambiance was also very good and the service as well. Overall it was a very good experience. I'm really forward to visit again and would highly recommend this place with family or with friends.

Great experience. Had dinner here on the first night of my Udaipur trip. The food is simply amazing, even basic dishes such as Chilli chicken tasted very different and lipsmacking. If they charge you wrong they won't revert.. thats what the guy serving us told.. good food however they placed bottle of water on the table and charged 70 rs. We asked them to reverse the charge since we didn't use the bottle..the guy said "humare sahab daatege ".. we took the charge since we didn't want to spoil the mood.. but they should understand they're for customer and not other way
