The memorial is very neat and clean. You can either take your vehicle by paying some amount or simply walk inside. There is a museum, food court, some souvenirs shops, memorial statues, washroom, sitting area with an amazing view of the Lake. The people are friendly and the place is very welcoming to travellers. Must visit places when you go to Udaipur. Hope this helps.

Memorial built to honour Maharana Pratap on Moti Margi, from where one can get a great view of Fateh Sagar Lake and of Udaipur City. Nearby there is the Japanese garden and the ruins of an old fort. Maharana Pratap is shown here sitting on his faithful horse Chetak, whi is believed to have been by his side till it's drew it's last breat in the battle of Haldighati. There is a beautifully landscaped garden. Adjacent to the statue is the Hall of Heros.

Maharana Pratap Smarak, located on Moti Magri in Udaipur, is a memorial dedicated to the legendary Rajput warrior, Maharana Pratap. The memorial stands atop a hill and offers panoramic views of the city and the Fateh Sagar Lake. At the heart of the Smarak is a bronze statue of Maharana Pratap on his loyal steed, Chetak. This iconic statue pays homage to the valiant ruler who fiercely resisted Mughal dominance. The site also features a museum showcasing artifacts, weapons, and historical documents associated with Maharana Pratap's life and battles. The Moti Magri area itself is picturesque, providing visitors with a serene atmosphere to reflect on the heroism and indomitable spirit of Maharana Pratap. The memorial serves as a reminder of the rich Rajput history and the sacrifices made to defend their land. Tourists and history enthusiasts frequent the Maharana Pratap Smarak not only for its historical significance but also for the captivating views it offers, making it a notable attraction in Udaipur.

We were informed by our guide (Ayaz) that the smarak is made up of several metals and weighs 7000kgs. It took several years for this statue to be made. It's a place with a lot of history and also a good spot for clicking pictures.

Amazing place which gives you an unforgettable experience. Don't forget to visit the museum. They have created beautiful and realistic models of the forts which depicts the history. Avoid visit during summer. In the evening they have a light show and you have to pay. In my opinion please don't pay for it.

Maharana Pratap Memorial is a historic site that is dedicated to the great Maharana Pratap Singh and his loyal horse Chetak. The memorial comprises a life-sized bronze statue of Maharana Pratap balanced on his favourite horse, Chetak. The statue of Maharana Pratap is 11 feet high, with a weight of 7 tonnes. Considered a loyal companion by Maharana Pratap, Chetak stood by him till his last breath, before being killed in the battle of Haldighati between Rajputs and Mughals in 1576 AD. Maharana Pratap Memorial and its premises are well maintained so that the tourists can enjoy the picturesque surroundings. The view from the hill-top is awesome. There is a museum showcasing the history of Chittorgarh and Kumbhalgarh including the Haldighati battle. There are also statues of Maharana Pratap's associates-Hakim Khan Sur, Bhamashah, Bhilu Raja, and Jhalaman. One can also visit the attractive Japanese Rock Garden and the remnants of one of the forts of Udaipur, Moti Mahal, the home of Maharana Pratap's father Maharana Udai Singh. A light and sound show is organized in the evenings here showcasing the thousand odd years of rule of Mewar.

It is placed at coast of Fateh Sagar Lake. Entry fee is 100 per person. You can spend 1 to 1.5 hr here as it has one museum and rest is garden type attraction. Scenic view bcoz of heightened place so you can click some scenic pics as there would be lake in background.

View from the Maharana Pratap Memorial is just Mind Blowing.. The Museum, Statuses and the surroundings are just Amazing!! Do visit the Hall of Heroes museum as well nearby This place has a mesmerizing view of the Fateh Sagar lake and the city as well!

The Maharana Pratap Singh Smarak is built atop a hill just near to the Pichola lake and provides a stunning view of the city and the lake. The place is generally moderately crowded and has decent seating space with beautiful views. There is also a museum located half a km away down the hill which houses models of City palace, Haldighati, etc. The 100Rs. Entry fee for the museum is not worth it.

Moti Magri is the reflection of the enriched history and culture of not only the Rajput and Mewar clans but also of the battles that a lot of Rajput kings fought. One of them being Maharana Pratap. The first thing that you will see at Moti Magri is the huge statue of this brave king on his horse cheetak & all people who help Maharana Pratap.Moti Magri is located on the banks of Fateh Sagar Lake. You can see a different 180*view of lake,There is a park as well with proper CCTV camera you can sit easily without any worry. There is 3-4 mini parks where people can sit, relax and may be spend some quality time in the peaceful nature.

Situated on Moti Magri or Pearl Mount looking across Fateh Sagar Lake, the statuette is placed on a white plinth and housed in a beautiful garden with greenery all around. Visitors pay homage standing in front of this statue and revelling in the marvel of the architecture amidst the garden premises. This place is also popular for housing some of Udaipur’s ruined forts One should not miss this place while visiting the Udaipur city .

It's a Must Visit Place in Udaipur. The garden of flowers is just beautiful.. there's a museum inside which tells the brave story Maharana Pratap, his battle, his life story and finally his death. The guide Mr. Prajapatiji was very nice,he explained all the events in great detail. When u walk along the museum there r puppet description of the war of Haldighati between Maharana Pratap and the Mughals. Then there's the Sound And Light Show about the great Maharana Pratap, Maharana Sanga .. this place is so much informative for us Indians and the new up coming generations of kids in school. They should and they must know this stories of the brave rajputs who revolted and fought against Mughals like khilji and Akbar. They made forts and other structures.. the great sacrifices of the Rajputs ,the jauhar by rajput queen ,they are being depicted so nicely in this museum and Sound and light show .. This tickets is 160rs per person which includes all. Then there's a shop when u come outside the museum selling traditional handicrafts and food, pickles and all. Overall this place is just very beautifully made and yes it's a must visit for everyone who doesn't know about the great Rajput Mewar Dynasty.

For kids/children/toddlers the following are the major attractions and amidst Pandemic we literally found this place deserted : --- A very old slide of cement and it's stairs are pretty high and the slide lands in a big sand pit. ( Be careful now as looks not in function from ages). --- Sunset point named BHILU RAJA PARK or eagle garden because of a huge eagle built overlooking the lake. Here the small part of garen has natural slope to roll for kids. Popularly know as LOATAN MAGRI to those 90's kids. --- Also here as you take another turn you will find GREAT WARRIOR JHALAMAN park where there are criss cross/ tic tac like garden section to play with one's imagination. ---Then there is Museum where you see spectacular prototype of Kumbhalgarh Forts to Chittorgarh Forts to City Palace to Monsoon Palace. Also you see arms used then, which kids would amuse over. --- Beneath the museum there is this KIKA CHILDREN'S PARK. Though no swings or slides , just big square garden. For tickets and timings see the pictures attached.

Museum and Memorial of Maharana Pratap are two main attractions apart from scenic views of Udaipur City and Fateh Sagar lake. Giant National flag is an added attraction. Memorial is located on the top of a hill. You can easily drive a car upto there. Entry fee is ₹100 pp. and additional ₹150 for Car. Though more attractions can be added, still a must visit place. Top of the hill offers nice photography locations.

A good memorial museum depicting the pride of Maharana Pratap. Do take a guide with you, if you wish to understand the history and the significance. The models of various palaces and garh are placed here. Do visit here if you have spare time after visiting the other important places in Udaipur. I won't say it's a must include in your Udaipur itinerary.
