Popular cafe with great ocean views! Only had a beverage there but the food that came out looked amazing (definitely next time)

It’s been a few (Covid) years since I last visited. Service was polite and prompt. Booked a table (recommended) Bacon Benny for myself was delicious and my Coffee was on point. Husband had Ricks Big Breakfast. The fact that it came with steak was an automatic winner. Will be back in the near future to try the dinner menu.

This restaurant is amazing. We were on a holiday and looked to google for reviews to book a meal Friday night in Bargara Beach. Wow the main meals we chose were beautifuly presented and not only delicious but huge! It's great to be so positive in a review. I know value for money and in this day and age seafood mains at around $27 is testament to how popular Ricks is. The live entertainment tonight just added that little extra special vibe to enjoy our night. A special touch was the personal interaction of staff moving around for feedback of how we enjoyed our evening here.

The place where I accidentally went before the COVID-19 outbreak and was dragged by the live singing sound. The food was still delicious and the atmosphere was good, but it was so loud that I couldn't hear the singing well.

Breakfast and service were great. Nice area and views too. Losing 2 stars based on the attached photo. If you're a coffee drinker great, but when i order a pot of tea, I don't want to make it myself. Put the tea, whether bag or leaves, in the pot before the boiling water so it brews. Once the water cools, it won't brew properly and turns bitter. I didn't see you handing people hot water and a bowl of coffee grounds to make their own coffee. This put a downer what would have been a great breakfast.

Amazing place for breakfast, huge tasty meals and cheap. My dish was bacon benedict add mushroom (heaps of mushrooms) for about $24. Best prices ive come accross yet for brekfast that size

Great place for breakfast brunch or Lunch. Good location. Friendly staff. Order at counter. Jugs of Water available in fridge near where you order. Had Zucchini and corn fritters. Comes with bacon, poached eggs and blistered tomatoes. Tasty meal, healthy serving for $19.50. Worth a try.

A very busy spot for good reason! Staff were friendly. Service was a bit slow but the food was well worth the wait. I highly recommend the calamari burger! 3/5 of our group had it because it sounded so good and we were all praising it afterwards.

Had a cold beer and sparkling wine with the missus. Although I had lunch, I decided to try the Sovlaki. It was delicious. Great service and atmosphere.

We stopped for lunch due to how popular the place was. The coffee was nice and hot but unfortunately the chips served with the meals weren’t however the rest of the food was. We sent one meal back and got a refund as there was a hair check for led into the crumbs on the chicken schnitzel and we didn’t want to wait for another meal as the delivery time on them first time around was fairly substantial. Over an OK meal in a nice setting.

We go for our daily coffee after walking from the caravan park. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Great coffee. Breakfast is fabulous. Vanilla slice was great. Best cafe in Bargara

Beautiful view, great place to sit and eat with the beach wave sound in the background. The food was filling and refreshing. Good place to eat with family as well as friends.

Before visiting Bargara, I was worried about being able to find gluten free food for my coeliac children. I was blown away by how accommodating and knowledgeable everyone at Rick's was regarding gluten free & cross contamination. We ate here several times and every time it was a great experience. The staff were so friendly and the service was fast and perfect. Great coffee, great food, separate fryer for GF items. So many Brisbane cafes could learn a lot from how Rick's run their show, very impressive!

An incredibly popular cafe right on the Esplanade at Bargara ☀️ We enjoyed an amazing breakfast - amazing because our meals & coffees arrived quickly, in spite of the large number of customers 😋 Everything was served hot & fresh and the staff remained polite & calm ❤️ Definitely a great venue where you can feel relaxed, and, draw in the beachside serenity while enjoying a delicious meal 🏆 One of our go to Bargara cafes ❤️

We had the chicken satay open grill, and the Thai beef salad. The Thai beef salad had SO SO much dressing it was intolerable, and the chicken satay open grill had 3 black hairs in it, we basically left both meals. On the positive side, location is great, outdoor seating is great, cocktails are price great, and the service was good.

Stopped over at Bundaberg on a road trip and tried this restaurant. Really good meal options, reasonably priced and tastes good too . Good drink selection too

Perfect location at Bargara. Food is honest and fairly well priced, without being anything spectacular. Alcohol is amazingly priced-$10 cross the board cocktails, and $7.50 craft type beers. Had to check the menu three times to make sure I was reading those prices correctly!!!

Cafe is a great place for breakfast and coffee, looking straight out to the beach. The food is great. They also do dinner a few nights a week which you will need to book for. The atmosphere at night changes with white table cloths and a restaurant feel. I had the Seafood Medley which was fabulous. Drinks are very reasonably priced and the service was excellent. Rick even dropped by at the end of our meal to make sure everything was fine.

Had coffee the cups came out with lipstick marks on them which can happen in a busy coffee shop which this is. No problems making a fresh cup and all done without fuss.

This might be the best piece of fish I've ever had... macadamia and herb crumb on barramundi. How is it possible that it was cooked so perfectly?? Seriously, Gordon Ramsay needs to taste it.

We had a great experience here. Absolute stand out service culture and heart of hospitality in the whole team. We felt very cared for and welcome. The food was fantastic too (particularly the mushrooms on toast - I really wish I could poach an egg like that!) Your team should be really proud. Thanks again.

Friendly staff. Greet you with a smile. Coffee was hot. Food was very delicious, great value for money and quick service. Good range of breakfast options. We had the breakfast burger and eggs and bacon.

Nice place to relax and watch the world go by. Coffee is great and the atmosphere is very casual. Great to sit, have a coffee and listen to the sound of the ocean across the road.

What a great place. Lovely view of the ocean. Had macadamia barra. Beautiful. Cheapest cocktails I've had since 1979!!!! $10 for most, or $15. Great service, thanks Sally and the others too. Already planning to go back.

A fantastic cafe with good ocean views. The staff was nice and friendly. I was surprised with their speed in serving meals. I only sat for less than 10 minutes and my meal was ready. The big breakfast was really filling and satisfying. A big plus for not charging extra during public holidays.

Great service, really good food. Well done to Rick and his team. Absolute pleasure dining here. Lamb was delicious and generous serving. Real breast chicken schnitzel. No room left for dessert. Very busy so book a table. Thanks for a lovely evening.
