The Museum is located within the Earth Sciences Building on the university campus. Inside it is possible to observe samples of fossils and minerals also and not only from Puglia. Prestigious are the fossil remains of a whale approximately 2 million years old. Group visits are possible by reservation with a small financial contribution.

I visited this place on the occasion of open museum day. A special guided tour of the museum dedicated to children had been organised. They had a lot of fun and it was an interesting experience for adults too.

Secondly, this museum is housed in a room in the University of Bari. We went there, only to find that it was locked up, and that it "might be open tomorrow".
