The rooms photograph much nicer than they really are, so you might be disappointed if you are going off their website pics. Location is very convenient but not close to parking, unless you hit the lottery and get a public spot in the lot next to the palazzo. The breakfast was very bad and was left in the room when we checked and consisted of store bought madeleine like pastries and similarly bad croissants (all of which was practically inedible), boxes of cold cereal and that's all folks. Although they did claim that the breakfast room is under renovations--so you may find a different situation. It would not have been too much to deliver a box of something fresher and a little more interesting in the morning for what we paid for the room. There was mold in the shower area and the beds were not particularly confortable.

This renovated historic building is located in the heart of Bari Vecchia and it is in close proximity to all famous historic buildings and restaurants of Bari. We enjoyed our stay starting from an incredible breakfast with fresh local products, to enjoying the sunset on the rooftop. The staff is also very attentive and professional. Highly recommended.

Great location. Good service, but no one is never in the Lobby. Good cleaning but they are not renewing things like shampoo, soap toilet paper etc

A small hotel, right at the center of Bari's old town. Close to EVERYTHING! A walking distance to all the old town top rated sights, close to the high end shopping streets, walking distance to the train station. Excellent location, truly helpful staff. The room has a high ceiling, as it is built in an old stone structure, thus the bed is on a gallery upstairs. It has a kitchenette, a shower, a dining table and a small living room. We really recommend this hotel for staying in Bari.

One of the slightly more pricey hotels in town. Wonderful location in the middle of old town. Very spacious room. Unfortunately the upstairs where the beds are stayed quite warm even if the downstairs room was sufficiently cooled down. Reception desk is only occupied from 9:30 until early evening. But the staff was so friendly and helpful throughout. Breakfast can be selected via website and is brought to the room at the desired time. Stylish design in an old cloister. Kitchen was included, we didn't use it though.

We had a wonderful stay at the hotel! It is located right in the center of the old city, walking distance from all of Bari's sights. The building was beautifully designed and there's a unique combination of old and new. We stayed in a spacious room with a gallery. It had everything we needed including fresh bottled water every day. Breakfast was small but very nice. All hotel employees were extremely helpful and nice. The hotel suggested parking somewhere we couldn't find, but we found that the most convenient was to park on Corso Vittorio Emmanuele st. With easypark app. It is 4 min walk from the hotel.

Location was excellent, easy area to walk to various sights and the station. Staff were very helpful too. The room is a good size with a dining table, small kitchen unit, bed in a loft. Unfortunately I found the bed and pillows very uncomfortable. The duvet also had no cover on it. Also the bathroom had some mold problems - in the shower, on the floor and a bit on the walls. The lighting was also not great in the room.

Our stay at Palazzo Calo was magnificent. Rooms were spacious and comfortable. The location is perfect to explore the passages, culture and restaurants in the old town of Bari. Adriana, Francesca and the entire staff create a new level of hospitality. We look forward to visiting again!

We loved this charming hotel. Great location, friendly staff, beautiful aesthetic. The standard room size was still a great size! We will definitely stay here again!

We enjoyed our stay in this lovely hotel conveniently located in the old town, with great service, breakfast and fully equipped rooms

Great location for old town and city, and superb atmosphere in rooms. Staff bend over backwards to help. Cant complement them enough. Recommend room with kitchenette, as includes kettle, ciffee pid machine, microwave, fridge/freezer, cooktop and plates/cultlery etc. Suite looks swank but lot smaller (dingle room), fridge only, no kettle and old style coffer machine. Shower tiny and no place for soap/shampoo/shaving gear. Also more expensive.

We didn’t stay at the hotel but I have a review because of the bar downstairs. We spent hours having some food and drinks there, extremely friendly staff, we went back twice! We had issues finding the place the second time but we managed! Thank you for adapting everything to our diet ❤️

We wanted to stay one night in Bari and didn't find a lot of options in the Old Town. We stumbled on this place and thought we'd roll the dice. It did not disappoint! The location is excellent! The room we had was spacious and cozy, very modern and comfortable. The staff was very helpful and breakfast was nice. We would definitely stay here again! Highly recommend!

The room was nice and comfortable, but the service at the hotel destroyed all our experience. The staff is not customer oriented. We also had a bad experience on the roof top where we were charged for starters 120€ that we have not ordered. It felt like a tourist scam. Its a shame

Interesting place to stay if you like old buildings. Very convenient location. Bedsheet/blanket was not good. Maybe they could buy better ones sometime. The room and everything was clean.

Firstly a word of warning about arriving by car. We pre-booked the Saba Porto parking. Google maps for Saba Porto di Bari takes you somewhere quite different. There was no one to process the pre booked parking meaning a call to customer services. Now to the hotel. We checked in on Sunday afternoon and the reception desk wasn't manned but there were easy instructions to self check-in. The room was good as described with the bed on a mezzanine deck. A small kitchen area with fridge and big bathroom. There is a breakfast room being developed but we had a prepacked breakfast in the room which was good with yoghurt, juice pastry and croissant. The staff on the front desk were very helpful with advice on getting around etc. The best thing was the delightful roof terrace with stunning views. We liked it a lot and stayed for 2 nights which was enough to explore the main sights.

Great location and even greater staff! We stayed in Bari at Palazzo Calò for a couple of nights before heading further south for a wedding. The rooms were the perfect size and very comfortable. Showers could have been a little better and the water pressure was fairly low. Breakfast however was delightful, staff greeting you as you come down in the morning, fresh coffee to order (latte, cappuccino, espresso etc) and also eggs boiled to order. Breakfast offers the usual continental meats, cheeses, pastries, yoghurts and fresh juices. There weren’t any cooked breakfast options (i.e sausages, scrambled eggs etc). Breakfast is usually between 8-10 and we were there around 9 and it was quiet. Things usually picked up around 9:30 I thoroughly recommend asking reception for places to go (especially if you’re interested in food and drink) she gave us some incredible suggestions that were all fairly close. Also recommend heading up to the roof terrace for a good view and sunset photo op Thanks so much Palazzo Calò! We had a great time

The Hotel was really good but there was a big problem with parking and with small, really narrow roads and streets. After all our experience in the old town we park the car in the new city on the public parking. It’s really bad that the hotel doesnt have any private parking in the hotel in the old city. Also in the room on the 2nd floor was very stuffy and very warm. But at all this is the very good hotel. There was the Basilica de Saint Nikola nearby, the rooms are very modern. There was the good small kitchen in the room. And the staff were really great and friendly. I think that if we will be in the Bari without car we book this hotel again. But with car it is a very big problem, Also because we came at night and their private parking in new city was closed.

A lovely place, great location inside the old city but close to sea shore and to the shopping area. Very cooperative staff, nice and comfortable facilities

Fantasic stay. The room even smelled fantasic. Right in the center of Bari. Even have elevators. Their breakfast was in room but still delicious. Late checkin worked great too.

I would like to give Palazzo Calo a five-star rating due to the outstanding professionalism of the reception staff. Our check-in was smooth and efficient, and a misunderstanding regarding payment through booking was handled with kindness and respect. I am extremely satisfied with the experience. Additionally, the hotel's location was incredible, situated in the heart of the historic city center of Bari 🇮🇹, close to a plethora of restaurants and dining options, making it the perfect place for a relaxing evening stroll and exploration. The one-room apartment was spacious and cozy, and we were able to enjoy a celebratory drink on the terrace with a breathtaking view.
