A dive bar in the heart of St Pauli. Reasonably priced drinks, rough and ready decor, and locals full of character. Certainly not a place to take the children but an option if you're looking for an authentic take on the Reeperbahn.

Fantastic place just a stone's throw from the Reeperbahn. The atmosphere is wonderful, the people behind the bar and also those in front are smiling and happy to chat. There's also a juke box, impossible not to come back!

Authentic St Pauli bar. Enjoyed sitting by the window with a cold Astra and watching life go by outside. Friendly locals and staff. Top jukebox too.

Excellent bar - fantastic friendly staff only too pleased to assist- Jessica made me very welcome and an asset to the bar - very reasonable prices- great location near my hotel- a small seat outside so you can have a cheap beer and watch the world go by - toilet is downstairs- this is a great bar with a fantastic vibe stickers and graffiti well recommended

The Tippel II is redolent of the famed Kneipe Kultur. I agree with most of the positives posted by others here. However, there is no provision made for non-smokers and little, if any, ventilation. If you don’t mind that, then you’ll love it. If you’re an asthmatic like me, I urge caution (hence only two stars).
