😠 Just a very unpleasant experience. Visiting from US and strolling through the neighborhood, was recommended for coffee and pastries. In the crowded order area, no masks on staff. Rude and unfriendly. Sign on door said self service, but when I went in she seemed exasperated that I didn't get a table... People often mention coffee, cakes, service, great,

Just a very unpleasant experience. Visiting from US and strolling through the neighborhood, was recommended for coffee and pastries. In the crowded order area, no masks on staff. Rude and unfriendly. Sign on door said self service, but when I went in she seemed exasperated that I didn't get a table number, glared and rolled her eyes. WHAT? I speak a little German but nobody spoke a word of English here as far as I could tell. Nor do they care. I took my cappuccino to go and skipped the pastries. Really soured me on my Potsdam experience.

It's okay, but could be better, especially for a store that is supposed to be all about coffee. Same goes for the service. Considering how expensive it is, I suggest you look for a great cappuccino elsewhere.

Delicious cakes, perfect cappuccino but a most unfriendly and rude lady at the counter who seems to hate the clients. A little pricey but the cakes and coffee are worth it, only I don't like to spend money to be treated rudely.

The coffee was good , the eggs Benedict was yummy , but the wait for the order was a-bit much, granted they were busy when we went

Super attentive and helpful staff, food prepared fresh and a wide variety of coffee available!

We chose Kaffeerösterei because we assumed we would get better coffee than from regular cafe. The coffee was expensive and very average, milk was the primary taste. The way it was served also did not make you feel like it's a top coffee spot. Cakes also ok only. Service also disappointing (we said thank you, the waitress didn't even look at us or say you are welcome).

Viait this beautiful place to feel the atmosphere of a local coffee shop with a twist. There are different sorts of coffees to choose, delicious cakes and sandwiches. Its tucked away from busy street, but it's worth trying it and taste some hidden gem.

Really pleasant spot in the older part of the city. Coffee is pretty approachable, very German - smooth but robusta heavy. I'm not sold on the quality of their espresso service, but the staff are nice and the other customers liked the various cakes that were offered.

I loved most things about this place. When I came it was cold and rainy outside and all the windows and doors were open. I couldn't get cozy and comfortable

A true gem with excellent coffee. The staff know their craft and prepare delicious brew in a variety of ways. There are also nice breakfast options available, including croissants and bagels. Since they roast their own coffee, you can buy beans to take home plus there's a nice selection of Bialetti products. The only downside is confusing rules for service - info outside says wait to be seated, but locals seems to just get inside skipping the line and after a longish wait we did too. Also there's an info on the menu about self-service, but there was table service available (though slightly chaotic). Still worth a visit for coffee lovers.

It is the first time I have this kind of excellent coffee in Germany...maybe the beans/roasting combination. Food excellent as well. Service was just there, not friendly, not rude. A warmer service would make the perfect experience.

A place to enjoy coffee at another level. It's a tiny café that also roasts the coffee themselves. They have a big variety of great traditional cakes. I had the Lübecker Marzipantorte. They also sell the beans they roast. Only downer was that we had to wait about 15min until we got a table since it was during the weekend after Christmas. The waiters seemed to be rather annoyed of all the tourists.

Great coffee ☕ I also got Tomato Mozzarella scrambled eggs. Overall I liked it but I must say it was also quite basic.

A really nice cafe with great coffee in Potsdam. They roast coffee beans by themselves and have them for sell. It’s not cheap for Potsdam, but it is worth it, if you want good coffee. They also have tasty cakes. That’s the spot to stop by after you walk a mile or to across Potsdam park.
