We love coming here to swim. We do wish others would be respectful to the young families and not be chain smoking cigarettes and weed and leaving their butts in piles in the sand. It would be nice if there were a little more supervision from sheriffs, the corps of engineers office, or wildlife and fisheries. Let's keep a nice place nice!

I loved this place. We usually go to Barren River State Park to swim but they were closed due to flooding. We found this place and it's great. They have a beach area, which was closed because of flooding also but people were still swimming. They have grills where you can grill out and also we found a great little trail thru the woods. Nice place all around for swimmy, picnic,grilling , fishing and hiking.

We went on a really hot afternoon in June. It was not crowded and we had a lot of fun. It's exactly what you'd expect swimming in a lake.

This was worth 2 days of driving. On a road trip I just happened down this road. and when I saw the landscape here...I was stunned. I stood in the rain, looking out upon the water. This place is fantastic.

Very pretty, I went just for a walk & to catch the scenery. Looks to be a good place for lots of activities though. I'd assume dog friendly for well behaved leashed pups, I didn't see any signs saying no anyway.

Beautiful little spot with a nice trail. I haven't been too far down the trail as of yet because I forgot to bring any water, but I did enjoy myself. You can see some fossils along the shore which are pretty cool. They also have a beach but there was no swimming sings up for some reason. Anyhow it was as enjoyable as a small state park can be

Great place to get some water views and therapy. Good place to take your dogs as well just be sure to have a leash for your pets.

Wonderful day of fish hunting and metal detection.

We visited this recreation area while exploring the nearby Barren River Lake Dam. We sat under a nice shade tree and took some photos of the lake and park. There was a good crowd at the park and we thought this would be a great place to take the family for a day at the lake.

Nice little beach to take the kiddos. Was pretty clean for a public area. They have a picnic table, a little walking area.

The beach looked okay but I went for the walking trails and there wasn't much to them
