Such a great local place. Killian's taste great, portion are so generous. Italian beef sandwich is out of this world.

Tucked away bar with cold beer and handmade thin crust pizzas. Far and away some of the best pizza in the area (sausage giardiniera). Bartenders, owners and other patrons are always friendly and in a good mood. Has a nice patio out back that is dog friendly and has TVs. The Blue Heron has become our go-to local bar.

This little bar is tucked away behind a motel. It was nicer than that description sounds. There were a couple of games going on with several TVs and some background music, but it wasn't so loud we couldn't carry on a conversation. Actually a very nice place to stop by and have a couple of beers and just chill out. We had a few drinks, but didn't have any food.

I live this place. It's been there for like 35 years. It was a little updated just before covid. Basic bar menu and very nostalgic which I love. Just three basic beers on tap which I also love. You gotta check it out. It's got an old golf course club house feel to me. Try the easy drinking Killians on tap. Tell him Andy sent you!

If you like a nice friendly bar this is the place. Good food, very reasonable prices and big portions. Bring cash. No credit cards.

WOW-ZAH! The Blue Heron Cafe!! have been craving a good burger - for weeks. So I decided to try a place nearby with a great word-of-mouth following & reputation. WHAT A FIND ( ok, NEW= To Me) This was the most amazing Char grilled-hand made Burger I've had in YEARS!! All topped with sweet grilled onions & the freshest butter lettuce, ripe juicy tomatoes, & BBQ sauce (on the side)......this level of burger was totally unexpected! I got a lovely fresh salad on the side- Yum! The Blue Heron Cafe = is WAY more than a local sports bar! ☆☆☆☆☆ Cheers to the Chef! And to your sweet bartenders!

We came to this spot for lunch. my friend recommended this place. Well, it was very nice. we were warmly welcomed by the crew and we felt excellent. The food was just great. We enjoyed every moment and we will definitely return to this restaurant. Keep it up.

Yes! It's so SEXY!

Went for lunch and place just opened so I was only person there. Lunch was good and reasonably priced. Owner and I had good conversations. Be aware they are cash only. Didn't know until got check. Fortunately was not an issue.

Great local bar where everyone knows everyone, I didn't know anyone & still felt welcomed! Their Friday night fish fry, especially the walleye, is a must!

Always an enjoyable, relaxing time at the Blue Heron. Eddie serves good food and he's a very pleasant guy. Great place to stop and see the locals.

Great local hangout. With probably a dozen TV's always tuned to Chicago sports, this is a Cubs/Hawks/Bears joint (but no haters allowed - Sox fans are welcome.)

Been stopping in since the late '70's. I always visit when I am back home in Barrington. Good food, great atmosphere, and most of all great patrons. The owner needs to be commended for keeping it all together.... CHEERS!

This restaurant is obviously one of the finest place to eat in the area. Always when I visit this place I am truly happy. They always keep their very high level service and the topmost level of food they offer. You no doubt will love this place. Warmly recommended.

Walked in after watching Gattaca, very hungry and wanting a delicious bloody mary. Little did I know I was gonna get a mouthful of rust! Food was low quality, I ordered a pizza and it had canned cheese. When I went home I puked for hours. Thanks for the experiece, Blue Heron. I wont be back!
