Lovely gardens surrounding a large lake with swans. Walk around the lake and grab a coffee near there or walk to the pebble beach and look out at the sea.

Nice green flag park in the Knap. Large boating lake, new skate park and gardens. Large free car park nearby, plus cafes and restaurants near the entrance.

Lake, beaches (pebble beach, Harbour and Watch Tower bay) and little shops for coffee and tea takeaway. Be sure to visit Romillys and Mr. Villas. Plenty of parking and flat walkways for prams, scooters, bikes and wheel chairs. Public toilets and beautiful views of the coast.

Such a beautiful relaxing place. We started walking from the knap gardens over to Jackson's Bay. This is a costal walk taking in the views at the harbour, flat Holm, Steep Holm, Nell's point, Whitmore Bay, the famous Barry Island beech and finally Jackson's Bay. Mostly flat tarmac tracks, but some walks over sands Such as Whitmore and Jackson's Bay. Fantastic views of a lighthouse and Western Super Mare.

Great park for a picnic and a range of nice cafΓ© for those that did not bring their own food and drink. Close to a beach and the remains of a Roman Villa situated behind the lavatories that are on the side of the beach.

A lovely place to enjoy a stroll. The gardens are very pretty and ornamental and also feature a large lake which is home to swans, ducks and other waterfowl. The park also features a skatepark and is a short walk away from a couple of coffee shops and cafes. A tarmac promenade separates the gardens and lake from the nearby pebble beach. There are two free car parks nearby: a large one at Cold Knap Car Park and a smaller car park (Bron-y-MΓ΄r) near the cafes and the railway bridge. Both car parks have disabled parking spaces and electric vehicle charging points. There are also a couple of on-street parking spaces outside the cafe and coffee shop but these can get very busy. Although there are some steps in parts of the park most of the paths are fairly level and made from tarmac. There are also ramps providing access to the promenade located at each end of the promenade and sets of steps located in the middle.

We went there with children and friends. Enjoyed it thoroughly. The area is nice, the parking nearby is great, it was free (not sure if it always is). A good walk around, in the beach. Nice and peaceful.

Lovely place, as the nights are drawn out. It makes for a lovely stroll with quite a few different wild birds. Cafe and small shop nearby. There is a small carpark across the road.

Discovered this beautiful park by accident on the way home from Barry Seafront. Brilliant, lovely, well kept park and lake with an impressive stock of waterfowl. Very good disabled access and a large free carpark.

Love it here. Park and lake area. Pebbly beach front with views for miles. Sandy beach at the Old Harbour. Good for dogs, walking, families, strolling, people watching. Large flat promenade area if you can't walk too well.

Lovely little place, friendly staff, lovely coffee and we had an ice cream as well. Very relaxed and chilled out atmosphere. I would definitely recommend to family and friends. It's just how I'd like my back garden to feel.

Always love heading down here early morning either for a run or walk and a coffee at Romilys, relaxing feeding the birds, they love the bird seed!

A lovely hidden gem a short walk from the main attractions of Barry. Some lovely views over the coastline and very clean. Credit to vale of Glamorgan. It’s a shame the lido cannot be rebuilt what an attraction that would be.

Lovely beach. Free parking. Walk along near the river in the gardens, and so close to the sea/stoney beach. About a 20min walk over to Barry Island. One of our favourite spots in Wales! Nice quiet area ideal for dog walking.
