It's always great here on the south beach. Lake Bober is only accessible by bike or on foot. The latter only if you are prepared to take a long walk. This can also be seen by the visitors. The audience is very mixed, the visitors are rather active and even on very hot days it is not that crowded here. You can set up your spot between the dunes in the sand-grass mixture. There are usually a few shaded areas between the trees. The beach itself is not particularly wide. Here the children can still play in the sand. The water is nature. Overall, I find the water to be very clean and refreshing. The access is very shallow, so it is also suitable for non-swimmers. Of course, plant remains and algae also float on the surface of the water. Everyone has to decide for themselves whether it is the right one. The infrastructure is rather rudimentary. As already mentioned, you cannot drive to the front door here. Bicycle and bus/walking are the modes of choice. There is a small toilet block and a large garbage container in case of emergencies and every now and then an ice cream seller (unfortunately quite overpriced) comes by with his bike and trailer. In 2018 a Flutschfinger cost €1.50. Now in 2019 there was Lidl ice cream in a waffle for €2. Still better than nothing.

Lake Bober is located in the Bober Dunes nature reserve. Here you can take a wonderful walk around the lake. You can relax right next to the water. There is a swimming area and also public toilets.

I like the place. There is a circular hiking trail, places where you are largely unobserved and one where you can swim and a glider airfield where you can see gliders and small motorized aircraft take off and land. The network of paths is a bit difficult to understand if you are new. It's good to have Google Maps with you or ask other visitors who know their way around

Bathing lake in the green, for dressed or nudist both have their area.

Overall, a very nice swimming lake, highly recommended. Reachable via Billwerder, there is a free parking lot, but it's easy to miss and it's not that easy to reach because of the two concrete bollards. After a short walk of about ten minutes you reach the lake, which has a sandy beach about 15 m long and a few smaller entrances to the lake, which are also sandy. Around the lake you can either bask in the sun or sit in the shade of the trees. Theoretically there is a toilet block, but it was not functional. It's not that crowded at lunchtime; it feels like every third group has a grill and some had loud speakers with bad music. Fortunately, several people felt disturbed by the volume, so the music became quieter quite quickly. The water is refreshingly cool, typically a natural lake with small fish, algae and other animals and plants.

Been there again for years πŸš΄β€β™‚οΈπŸš΄β€β™€οΈ and it was incredibly beautiful 😍☺️. Hardly a soul apart from 2 bathers πŸ₯Ά the wind was too cold for me πŸ˜‚ but we'll do that more often now πŸ€₯🀣

Very nice lake with pleasant temperatures and not too complicated to reach. Ideal if you need a little break from the urban jungle.

Decent place for a hangout or a family outing. The water front area is quite small, but there are plenty of areas to rest, play and hangout.. there is one toilet nearby but its only open from May to October. Scenic place. With all the developments happening in the nearby towns, hope this one gets developed further..

Very clean water. Pretty cold in summer. I checked the water quality online every week and it was always good.

Bicycle tour from Glinde is better to Oststeinbek Hauptstr. to the city center, from there Havig.Weg via large gardens cheaper than tour from Glinde via Havighorster Weg near OBI!!

Great mixture of the wild, woody and open space.and it feels as if you could be a million miles away from the city, when in reality tour not. If you have an interest in Gliding or simply just watch the aerial activity, it's also super for this, the ideal picnic hangout..Oh just be aware of the nude section which could come as a surprise if your not used to that type of scene 🀭

A beautiful swimming lake in which you can swim with clothing or separately nudist. The water is clean and clear. You can walk around the lake or extend the circuit with the glider run or the Bobberg dunes.

Amazing lake about 30 min from Hamburg by public transit from downtown. From Eppendorf many options about an hour to get there, really recommend the 22 then the u3. You can walk through the forest along the runway where they are lifting up gliders and then take a stop by the dunes. Finally you arrive at the lake and its beautiful and clear with different grassy and sandy areas surrounding it. Great spot to so some SUP!

Nice outing spot. But can get really full! Especially since there's only one beach.

Great place to enjoy a hot summer day. Hang out naked (as many do, not mandatory of course), dip in the lake, so civilised, so relaxed. Not very easy to get to from Hamburg but worth the effort. Bring your beach gear, water and some food as little in way of amenities there...

nice to have a quick jump in the lake but also to lay by the trees and spend some time with family and friends. Parking can be tough when it's good weather
