Will the real del taco please stand up!!.....yep this is the real deal. Get a barstow hard or soft taco and believe me it is legit. Stuffed with meat and tons of cheese over flowing with a tomato on top. My first time here and been everyday since while working in barstow. Worth the stop at this tiny yumyum spot.

I'll admit that my pictures here aren't the best, but it gives you a chance to see what the place, and some of the food, look like inside. I have been going to Del Taco in Vegas for a while because it's cheap and the food is decent. The food here, on the other hand, is actually good. It's still fast food, but higher quality fast food. What I liked more than the food was how knowledgeable Maxine was and her great customer service. I asked about sweets and she told me about the sweets they have and that the cakes are made nearby and it's not a big manufacturing thing. So, the quality of everything he at this place seems to beat out all of the other locations I've visited... yeah, it's a bit of a drive into Barstow, and it is in an odd place (in my opinion), but it's a quality place and the oldest Del Taco there is in operation.

Always love to hit a Del Taco when I am on this side of the world miss having them near me. This is the oldest operating store in the chain and the employees were all super friendly and informative. Food was great as always and I got to purchase a Del Taco original location T shirt 😁

The place is very clean. A very nice lady took our order and she keeps the place very clean! She takes pride in her work and keeping the customers happy. I took a picture of her because I was so impressed with her attitude and kindness. We were driving cross country from Texas and stopped here for lunch. So glad we did. The food was hot, fresh and delicious. I had the Bun Taco. The bun was nice and warm and soft. My husband had the Macho burrito. It was hot and huge. My daughter had the fish taco. She said it was yummy.

Best Del Taco, the food is made the same as when Del Taco was founded. They serve the current corporate Del Taco menu, but also offer a Barstow menu. The Barstow menu includes a bun taco, Barstow taco, Barstow soft taco, a tostada and more. Basically more meat and cheese. Rumor has it the original founder of Del Taco still owns this one, and in his 90's still comes to work a few times a week to work & greet customers. This is actually the second Del Taco, the first was in Yermo 10 miles north along I-15 (that site no longer exists). The location is in old downtown Barstow just before the bridge to the AMTRAK train station... which features a restored Harvey House, a train museum and a Route 66 museum.

Delicious food! Taco, burrito, sundae so good! You can tell the meat is locally sourced. The Barstow Tire & Brake employee Mike referred us to go there while we waited and it made what could have been an unpleasant experience fun and memorable. Love Del Taco and Barstow. A new pit stop for our family.

The oldest operating Del Taco not far from where it all began. If you have a chance to go here it is definitely worth the stop. There are items on the menu that you can't get at any other Del Taco franchise.

During my recent trip through Barstow, I decided to stop at Del Taco to experience the original location, which I had heard about previously. However, the actual site is closed out of our way, so we opted to visit the closest one instead, which happens to be the oldest operating Del Taco. Although the menu was different from other Del Tacos I've visited, I was pleasantly surprised by the great service and delicious food. Everything we ordered was fresh and hot, and we left feeling satisfied and happy with our experience. One highlight of the visit was the cool bridge near the restaurant, which added to the overall ambiance and atmosphere. Overall, I'm glad we stopped at Del Taco in Barstow, and I would recommend it to anyone passing through the area. Whether you're a fan of the original Del Taco or just looking for a quick and tasty meal, this location is worth a visit.

The food was good service was great and the restaurant was clean and well taken care of. A good place to grab fast food. Urban legend is the Barstow location was the first Del Taco. Don’t forget to try the big Barstow taco.

Visited last weekend on our road trip during the through. Tried the Barstow Taco combo and it was delicious! Loved how loaded it was. Friendly staff. Great location. Would absolutely visit next time we are nearby. Well done.

I had a wonderful time there. You could use the restrooms within some kind of lock, it was male and female, not some gender confused and they had an outlet right at the table, just like the good old days. So it was very VERY NICE.

If you need to check "Del Taco #1" off your bucket list, cool. Aside from a mural on the wall, it's fast food tacos like you'd expect. Service is efficient and the value is good.

I eat at Del Tacos every where. This one though in particular is different because the food was prepared quickly and tasted incredibly delicious. The workers are friendly, polite and eager to help.

This is one of the oldest Del Taco in the high desert. Food is presented fresh and hot. Portions are generous and generally more than enough. They offer long crinkle cut fries and Tacos with lots of shredded cheese.

I love Del Taco. Was happy to visit an original location. Great way to take a break on a road trip. Good variety of options. Not true and authentic Mexican food, but still tasty and satisfying. In the end; that's what it's all about. And you can't go wrong with the Del Scorcho hot sauce. They need to bottle that stuff and sell in stores.

Great food have been stopping at all 3 locating in barstow witch are all good. I've at here for over 30 years and still get excited about it. These three del tacos are the original owners family that own them and are not like the other del tacos everywhere else. Must try and I think you to will agree.

This is not del taco. This is ORIGINAL del taco. It has an entirely different menu, and it is a million times better than you could ever hope for. Everything is insanely fresh and the portions are giant. Get the carnitas!
