Excellent customer service! Ashly & Kimberly are the best in the west and Best Western pro’s for sure. Have been staying there since May ‘18 and really look forward to seeing everyone and am greeted with a smile. Rooms are very well maintained and most importantly the beds are amazing. Great support and I always wake up refreshed. Tip: check to be sure you’ve got the Do Not Disturb sign to hand on door. Was awakened at 8 this morning with a loud knocking that wouldn’t stop.

I have stayed here a few nights now and have always had a positive experience. The front desk are helpful and friendly. Rooms are clean. Nice to have a fridge and microwave. The breakfast has a good selection and tasted great. Would definitely recommend if you are needing to stay in Barstow.

This hotel is a bit dated by today's standards but has been pretty well maintained. Furnishings are typical of mid to lower priced hotels, my unit showed very little scarring and wear on the cabinets, tables and sofa which was a plus. The staff was professional and helpful. Hot breakfast was pretty good and actually had a server, usually there is just an attendant making fresh coffee. My complaint is with the location, literally next to the interstate highway. Traffic noise was constant, all through the night.

It started with a very warm and sincere welcome from the General Mgr who had several customers at the same time, and made us all feel seen and cared for. She gave us an excellent dinner suggestion where we were again treated well. The room was cool and clean. The breakfast was a very nice surprise and the staff there were great ladies. She also came out to say goodbye and invited us to return on our way back to CA.

Cool place to stay when you are in Barstow. Clean room, beds okay, microwave and refrigerator. Bathroom split, what I love while travelling with my teens. Yes, it's a bit noisy because of the trains running through the night, but AC is almost the same, so it's not too bad. Only 4 points because of the pool water, it's green, don't know why. Great staff! Thank you for your friendliness and make us feeling comfy

The hotel seems to be fairly clean and freshly painted but that's where it ends... There are too many other things severely wrong with this place. The bathroom faucet barely works ....the hotel is between 2 busy roads one of which is I-40 and a railroad track... EXTREMELY noisy. They even have earplugs in the room..hint..hint...😆🤔....The water running in adjacent rooms is REALLY loud (I feel like I am floating away every time someone else takes a shower or puts the water on🥵)....No ice in the ice maker....The air conditioner is SOOOO loud...one more thing to keep one from a restful sleep... Furthermore the area is full of bums and transient people, very run down and dirty. The hotel is right next to a totally run down trailer park and the people who live there use the hotel parking lot as their driveway and access point. The key card for the door hardly works.... can't open the door from the inside or outside at times. I would consider that an extreme fire hazard. And let's not even mention the wonderfully fluffy pillows...😠🙊Can't wait to get out of here in the morning....ugh...

Ok first things first, this place is right by the tracks, that said you can't hear the trains! Nice clean rooms and shuttered windows, nope no need for black out curtains that leak tons of light in! The pool is very deep, 9 ft, which was a pleasant surprise, but the water was freezing cold 🥶. Still I like the bathroom quite well and the beds are comfy.

I have been making my way cross country and have been staying in Best Westerns most nights. Some are better than others, this one falls in between. First off, I have seen reviews complaining about the location. Yea, it's not great, but I don't understand what people were expecting. This is Barstow, right off the freeway. It services travelers passing through. It doesn't try to sell itself as a 5 star resort. That said, there was much to appreciate here, and some things not to. I REALLY appreciated how well lit the parking lot was, complete with some extra security lighting. I felt very safe parking my car overnight, as well as leaving my room after dark. I was given a room on the non pet/non smoking side of the hotel. Upon entering my room, there was a very heavy scent of pine cleanser. I am sensitive to chemicals, so I opened the window to air it out a bit. Unfortunately, as the pine smell dissipated, the smell of pet urine became noticeable. I alerted the front desk, where I was told pets were not allowed on my side of the hotel. However, without even asking, I was immediately switched to another room right next door. (Also heavy pine smell but it aired out fine). The thing is, both when I left my room around 11pm to use the vending machine, as well as around 6am when I headed to breakfast, I saw multiple people on my side of the hotel exiting their rooms with dogs. I am not implying the front desk lied to me, only that they are not enforcing their pet policy very well. (I suspect people were trying to avoid a pet deposit and did not disclose they had pets). The new room itself was clean. There was a in room fridge and microwave, though they were located in an odd spot by the bathroom that made them a little difficult to access. Yes, there was noise outside of the room, including other guests and the train. Earplugs are provided. Noise doesn't tend to disturb my sleep, but others might have difficulty with this. The only vending machine was across the lot and out of water. I went to the front desk and was given complimentary water. The breakfast was actually pretty good for a free meal. Lots of options both hot and cold, and the hot items (omelettes, seasoned potatoes, biscuit and gravy) were quite tasty. I know this was a long review but I wanted to cover some issues mentioned in other reviews. One last thing. JUSTIN the clerk at the front desk was AMAZING! He was so friendly and obviously dedicated to providing a good guest experience. I hope his managers read this and realize what a great employee they have there!

PRO side..Perfect spot off Hwy 140. My biggest concern about any hotel is it's cleanliness and you have nothing to worry about here. Bed was comfortable, breakfast sufficient. An older place totally refurbished and pleasant. On the CON side..Electric outlets could be replaced. Connections are a little loose. And it could use a chair for watching TV.

This is the older of the 2 Best Western hotels in this area. I read a lot of Complaints about road noise and thus scores were low. I feel that is as if someone provided a low score to a pizzeria because their pizza pie was round versus octagon shape. The purpose of hotels situated like this are to provide easy on/off highways for travel. Most people that choose these hotels want this easy on/off convenience. Therefore, one cannot complain about road noise from the very highway they want easy on/off access to. That being said. Front desk staff were wonderful- namely Ashley- who had the room all ready upon arrival and made recommendations on what is good to eat. The room was huge and very clean. No complaints whatsoever and would definitely come back here to stay.

Pet friendly motel, even though it costs $15/dog, non-refundable (we have 3). The rooms were very clean, the beds were comfortable, all amenities worked properly, and while we were close to the interstate and railroad the outside noise was not too bad. Both staff members I spoke with were helpful and very friendly. We will definitely stay here again if the opportunity arises. Thank you!

We stayed 1 night in the larger 2 queen room. We loved all the extra walking room compared to the regular 2 queen room and will be staying in it again. The only thing is that our room was the very last room in the line of rooms, near the main road. The dumpster near it was emptied early in the morning and you could hear some road noise. Great breakfast like always! We always stay here when traveling through Barstow.

I was happy arriving to a clean spacious room here. The front office staff were courteous and helpful with getting me checked in. Our ADA room was clean and comfortable thank goodness. The complementary breakfast was hot and delicious. The staff here were very polite and the dining room was super clean. I would recommend this as a great place to rest on your next trip through Barstow, AZ. Happy Trials!!

This is a regular motel with many rooms, in a building style that was modern some decades ago. Nevertheless, we found some clean, comfortbale rooms, that were clean. The bed was also in good condition. Breakfast was okay, although the breakfast room is a bit small, so it can get crowded in the morning. If you're staying for one night, then this place is perfectly adequate. The staff was friendly and helpful. A Walmart is just around the corner if you need something.

I had lost some of my receipts from 3 months ago that I stayed at the best western. I had to call the front desk to help me find them. Thanks to Raj, we were able to find all of the receipts. He was polite and patient throughout the search. He informed me when the job was out of his scope and would transfer me to someone who could help me. Overall, I am very satisfied with his service.

Yes its kind of noisy, but no more than to be expected in a city on a busy street. The room was updated and clean *except* the carpet left my feet black. Weirdly, not everywhere, but some place in that room (that I couldnt see) was some serious black something. The pool is unimpressive, but fine. Breakfast about par with other Best Weaterns. We got a room with a king bed for like $115, so the price was right.

It was a little tight but I fit my 26' box truck in the parking lot. There were several vehicles with trailers in the lot as well. The room was exceptionally clean and the linens crisp and fresh. There was a large TV with a limited amount of channels. Overall, an excellent value for the price. *** I believe the pool is not in service right now.

This was our preferred stop travelling on highway 40. The front desk was always friendly and helpful. Hope was the manager. She is no longer there and Raj is not very friendly, kind, or respectful. He is abrupt and rude... hope they hire Hope back. She was a jewel. We won't be going back to this hotel again. We will find a different place to stay. We have choices in hotels and this will not be it... Raj needs to learn how to speak with customers who spend money to stay there.

The rooms were clean, but the layout was not great. Accessing the fridge and microwave were problematic because the were opposite the bathroom countertop and you only had a couple of feet to work with. And if someone was using the sink there wasn't enough room to get into the toilet. Other than that, the room was okay, except for the keyguard lock, which stopped working after we got into the room. My wife was locked out of our room while I was out buying gas. They redid her key twice before they got a maintenance guy to come over and repair the lock. She said everyone was really nice and helpful, but she wax kept from the room for a half hour in the morning cold until it was fixed

Room was great but the outlets need to be replaced. Would not allow curling iron to stay plugged in. Loved the shutter touch on the windows!

After several weeks on the road and many stays along the way, this by for was the most outstanding for service. Breakfast was the best with staff acting like they were waitresses! Spoiled us for any other Best Western!

Love the people there. Absolutely friendliest staff I've seen in a long time. Beautiful hotel with great rooms. The manager Hope, very nice woman, very professional. The front desk girl, Kimberly I think that's her name, she too is very professional and a sweet girl. Makes the place look good if you ask me. And the maintenance guy Gilbert, very sweet guy as well. Handsome too. Very nice and well kept place. Love it.

Friendly staff that will happily go the extra mile to assist guests! Best hotel stay & the price is amazing. My daughters, myself & our 75lb puppy enjoyed every moment & will be back any time we are back in the area. Thank you for providing such an enjoyable experience!

We stayed the night passing through. The rooms were clean and the staff friendly. We slept well, the low rumble of the trains did not bother us. Breakfast was excellent! The only recommendation would be USB ports for our devices. Beautiful sunrise!

We have been staying here for a number of years, which says a lot. We missed a few due to Covid. This trip, we experienced both the Front Desk and Housekeeping staff go the extra mile by solving a couple of problems I created. The hotel is across from the rail yards. We found ear plugs available in our room to help limit the noise from the trains that went through after our arrival. They worked quite we'll. The breakfast was great. The waffles were yummy and the bold coffee hit the spot. Definitely will stay here again.

Stayed here overnight for work and found it to be a nice hotel for the price. Front desk staff was friendly and accommodating. Room was clean. Everything worked properly. Great hot and cold breakfast in the morning. Not too bad regarding noise for the location. Yes it’s located on Main Street and there is a train across the street, but it’s not the fault of the hotel, and I didn’t really notice. Would surely stay again and just might have to work for again. Sorry. Didn’t think of taking photos. But we’ll worth it.

I was pleasantly surprised. My kids and I needed a last minute place to crash and this was a great hotel for the price. I was impressed with Justin at the front desk who was super helpful with checking in and the room was nice. Beds were comfortable and everything was really clean. And breakfast the next morning was great! Rosa was super friendly and very helpful. Both staff members were so cheerful, happy and efficient.

Pet friendly stay off the interstate. This is an older motel that has been renovated and dressed up. The traffic noise and trains were not a problem for us. I find newer build multi level hotels to be more annoying hearing neighbours making noise in their rooms.

  • 5/5 Bobi A. 1 year ago on Google
Very clean, updated rooms, friendly staff. Microwave and good sized fridge in rooms. Free Wi-Fi and breakfast. I’m rating the room as a four because the sink is separate from the shower and toilet. Not convenient when one person is trying to sleep while the other is brushing teeth, drying hair, etc. Some improvement suggestions: better light over the sink, towel bars in sink area, non slip mat in the tub, and stronger water stream in shower.

When arriving we were given keys to a room after trying to access the room several times and were unable to we went back to office to be issued new ones. Went back to the room and tried several more times and again could not access the room. Called the front desk and the girl said she would meet us at the room in a few minutes. After about 15 min. She came with a machine to open the room. When we opened the door, the room was already occupied by some other guests. We were horrified and embarrassed at 1am in the morning. We were then given an upstairs room where I had to struggle getting up the stairs since I currently have a broken foot. After we got settled into the room and was in bed trying to get rest before we had to travel again we hear 3 ladies outside our room loudly talking and laughing. After about 10 minutes of this I look out the window to see the 3 of them sitting at the top of the stairwell directly outside my room smoking and loudly conversating. I figured this would stop as soon as they were done smoking however it continued. I asked them to quiet down which had no effect and they were out there half the night. The next morning I was slapped in the face with a $11 credit for "room key issues". Mistakes like this should NEVER happen and if they do then both parties should be taken care of however it was an insult to give $11 and then to act like nothing happened. I made a complaint with customer service however the owners of the hotel are standing by their $11 credit and don't feel compensation should be any greater. The room also had crumbs on the floor and the bathroom floor had water all over it. If you want to walk in or have someone bombard your room at 1am or be up all night listening to cackling women all night then this is the hotel for you.

Our room was clean and comfortable, the service was great and the breakfast was tasty. I also left something at the inn and they contacted me, I sent them a shipping label and they shipped it back quickly. I am so appreciative. I didn't even realize I'd left it behind. Thank you!

This place was remodeled, the room extremely clean, the bed and pillows were very comfortable, the breakfast was great, the staff was very friendly and helpful. It’s crazy because I just got back from a cruise and we also stayed at hotel maya a Hilton hotel for 3x the price and this hotel had friendlier staff, way better breakfast, cleaner rooms, and comfier beds. We are very happy with this place!!

Suitable room to rest for the night after a long day of driving. Check in process was super easy and the employee was very kind. However, not a lot of comfort in having people sit outside of my room on the staircase being loud until midnight and then go into their room (upstairs) and proceed to walk around all night. It’s a Tuesday night, y’all got work in the morning like the rest of us? Not Best Westerns fault but was my experience last night, happy to be leaving this morning.

The noise level was incredibly loud. When you check in they have ear plugs and it’s clearly because if its location. I slept but just a few hours and had to set off on another 8 hour drive the next day. The front desk clerk was very nice and concerned about the car alarm that kept going off for about an hour or two which was appreciated but unfortunately I spent $100 plus for a poor night sleep.

  • 3/5 T M. 1 year ago on Google
Hotel is clean, and good for a overnight stop. That said, what I didn't see in the reviews was how loud the highway noise is. The hotel is literally just off the interstate off-ramp, and the big Rigs sceam by all night. There are also train tracks a stones throw away and it seems like trains pass by every 15 minutes. The hotels provides ear plugs in the room (should of known when I saw those), had I'd known about the outside noise, I would have stayed elsewhere.

Well planned room. Comfy bed. Very clean and tidy. Cute figure fashioned from towels, sitting on the bed makes a cheerful first impression. All kind and professional staff! Thank you for wearing masks, it is evident that you care for your guests. Stay safe, healthy and prosper! Thanks for your loving care. D.

Hotel staff was very welcoming and room was very clean. Breakfast was delicious, no need for lunch after a breakfast that large. Location is on a main road (Route 66) across from train tracks, which I actually found to be charming but some might find loud. Noise didn’t bother me but ear plugs were provided. Pool was large and well maintained with a shaded area to relax around the pool. Great value!!
