Ordered food through Doordash. Been wanting to try this place since I moved here. Originally everything seemed good; however I'm highly upset. Biggest reason is that I'm in bed dealing with what I believe is food poisoning. My fish was delicious until I got to my second piece and noticed halfway through that it was pink tinged. It tasted mushy, but honestly I was hungry and that fish fry batter was nicely seasoned. My crisp cabbage was burnt and had no real flavor. The biggest let down was the peach cobbler. It was ice cold and doughy. The peaches were hard, not tender at all. They should definitely let you know that you must cook your dessert prior to eating. If that was not meant to be the case, someone owes me an explanation. Did it come out the freezer like this? Is it store-bought? Only thing that makes the food deserve a 1 star is the loaded potato soup. My baby boy enjoyed it and so did I. Like I said fish was good, just undercooked and I'm positive this is why I'm feeling sick. Disappointed by the let down unfortunately.

The food was great. They have some of the best home cooking around. They also do some amazing things. Tonight, they donated a portion of all meals to a local boy scout troop. That goes above and beyond community commitment. I highly recommend them.

I was in the area and stopped by at lunchtime..The aroma drew me in. Friendly relaxed environment reasonably priced for the nice sized portion .. They also have daily specials that offer meatloaf veggies and whatnot

First time we've tried this restaurant and we're pleasantly pleased. Take out ordered at the counter took less than 15 minutes. The young lady taking our order was very polite, knowledgeable and patient. Two orders of chicken and dumplings with side's was a lot of food and OH so good.we will be back thank you.

I just received my favorite meal from Pop’s - chicken livers, mashed potatoes, & cabbage. Everything was great, except the cabbage. I’m not sure what happened this go β€˜round, but it looked and tasted old/burnt.

Wow, what an amazing, awesome meal yesterday from Pops Comfort Food. After my outpatient procedure at VA, my daughter ordered me the sausage and shrimp gumbo and it was smoking good. They could’ve added more rice to compensate for the amount of gumbo. She also ordered the country fried steak with northern beans, and mashed potatoes and gravy. Everything was absolutely stunning, very tasty. Awesome meal Pops!

This place was delicious! My husband and I have spotted it a few times and always considered trying it and I’m so glad we finally did! It will now become a regular of ours! Everything was so yummy!! It’s definitely the place to go when you’re craving just good southern cooking. The service was also excellent! A great, cozy spot to eat a comforting meal. The Christmas decor was also so fun and pretty to look at.

This is what they call a piece of cake they give you. Looks half eaten and $6..Stuffed peppers were terrible..tasted old. Most of the vegetables aside from the cabbage and green beans..look and tasted canned. Salmon patties very thin and not good. Catfish had a fishy taste..not farm raised. I ordered enough food to last me 3 days and the bowtie spaghetti and the fried zucchini was the only thing I liked. I think if they don't sell something they refrigerate it over and over till they get rid of it. Never again!

I go here for lunch sometimes and it's always good. The salads are HUGE so well worth the money. Also really enjoy the chicken fried steak. Service can be a bit slow but overall a nice place that isn't a chain Corp to enjoy a good meal

Sometimes the food is great, sometimes it's awful. Sometimes the portions seem big, sometimes they're small. Sometimes the order is correct but they usually get something.wrong. It's never their fault. One thing for sure, it's one of the most expensive places to eat. Considering their inconsistency, we decided a few days ago that were not returning. Too much salt, too much garlic, too much wasted food, too much after the meal misery and too many smart butt comments. Example, "No one else complained." $50 for two adults and we were unable to eat most of the food. Also, if you get take-out, make sure the lids are on good and you take a box and towel. The food likes to spill. Sometimes you have to clean your table again or your arms stick.

So I used to go to pop's all the time and loved it, but they have really jacked up their prices. I used to be able to get 2 things about a year ago for the priced of 1 thing today. I don't like their chicken strips either. A basic salad is like $12 compared to other restaurants that charge $5-7. Their appetizers are entree prices. I don't go any more.

I had heard about it and after today it is my new favorite place! Great service and the food was magnificent with servings enough for multiple people!

Pops is close to my house. I go there when I do not feel like driving to Cracker Barrel or Soul Fish. I really do not have issues unless I do take out. Pops always get my take out order wrong. The ticket is correct but like today, I was given a double mash potatoes. On the ticket it has coleslaw and devil eggs. I had to go back to get the correct food. Look how small is the catfish. I usually get big portions of the other foods at Pops like county fried steak. I guess if you are on a diet, the miniature catfish at Pops is OK. But next time, I will go somewhere else when I want to eat blacken catfish.

The food was great. I honestly didn't see anything on the menu I wouldn't eat. And our server, Corey, went above and beyond. The atmosphere was cool with the Christmas decorations. Our girls can't wait until next Monday to go back and have pictures taken with Santa. We will done adding Pops to our lineup of the few places we go out to eat.

I wanted to give a 5 star because I met one of the managers and I really liked the whole feel of the place. I got the Daily Special, because, why not? Plus I wasn't entirely sure what chopped steak was. πŸ™ˆπŸ™‰πŸ™Š Once I got home and saw it, I was All In! My mind went to '😌🀀 Homemade Salisbury Steak'. 2 beautiful round rolls. 2 different kinds of gravy Yummy Green Beans πŸ˜‹ Oh, and let me add, the chopped steak was wrapped in a strip of bacon. Everything was Fantastic, except for the chopped steak. πŸ˜₯ My initial plan was to try the roast but I was on Google Maps when I saw the menu and the Chopped Steak was under updates in Google Maps. 😣 I would 10/10 recommend this restaurant. I loved Everything except the chopped steak. Anyway. I'll post a picture of my meal when I first opened it and a follow up picture that I'm taking right before midnight. Keep in mind that I said I loved Everything except the chopped steak. Also, πŸ™ƒ I'm the kind of person who can't finish my burger if I run out of fries. I'm saying that to say, that although I didn't eat my sides and rolls, it's not because they weren't GREAT. I'm just not a vegetarian and the chopped steak wasn't exactly the burger to my fries, so to speak. That being said, I would definitely recommend you give them a try! I'll be returning one day to try their pot roast. πŸ˜‹ Also, Go to their website, don't try to peruse the menu here. πŸ‘

Pepper Jack Bacon Burger and the Chicken Salad were excellent. Topped off with some Bread Pudding. Came back two weeks later for catfish and Pig Lickin Cake. See pics. 2 years later and I’m a regular. Comfort Food. Great deserts.

We were so glad that we stopped and so excited once we saw the food to eat it that we forgot to take pictures. The fried green tomatoes were amazing! The fried chicken dinner with mac and cheese and coleslaw was really good too. The Fried Catfish was battered and cooked perfectly. We also had the Carmel cake and ice cream which was good. Highly recommend this place it was very clean and our waitress was amazing. We will definitely be back next time we are in the area.
