I visit the O'Neills in Harborne fairly regularly since it's refresh from the Sizzling, it looks and feels fresh and great atmosphere. So time for a review! Drinks - Wide selection at the bar to pick from, always served cold and fresh. Bonus having happy hour during the week 5pm - 8pm too. Plenty of offers in the app to pick from, with no issues using them at the bar. Table ordering in the app can be a little glitchy though, so best used at the bar if can. Food - Didn't order food on this visit, but have done many times previously so commenting on those visits. Food always served piping hot, fresh and with plenty to pick from. Very occasionally the odd item isn't available - but plenty else there. Highly recommend the lunch & drink menu where can get a meal and drink for around £6.75 / £7.75 if a pint. Top choices typically are the southern fried chicken flatbread and the fish and chips for me! Atmosphere - Clean, fresh and welcoming. Music during the day at a comfortable level to be able to work, lots of plug sockets available all round the place to charge phone / laptop etc. Toilets always well kept and looked after. Weekend evenings, the live entertainment is well worth checking out too. Added bonus is the awesome garden - plenty of space, with shelters and covered areas to stay out during the more "British weather". WiFi - Works perfectly - according to Speedtest get 48.1Mbps download / 12.7 Mbps upload on laptop. No issues at all with using a somewhere to catch up with work. Parking - Wasn't going to comment on this as don't drive to the pub - Google reviews suggestion of parking topic have come back to add it.. There is lots behind the place, free to use for customers - but be sure to register number plate on the tablet at the bar. Staff - Always happy and welcoming with no exceptions. Quick to sort anything need with a smile! Can't fault at all, and go above and beyond every time. On the later visits, the door staff are also notably friendly, fair and professional to keep the venue safe and fun. Overall... 10/10 (+ more). Keep it up, doing great!

Came to The Vine Saturday night, the DJ was great, the vibe was amazing the pub was full and getting back to its old self as a regular this is great to see! Karla was great at looking after us all evening and a credit to your new team. Will definitely be popping in more often glad to see it back on track!

As a family with a 3 year old we very often go to the Vine for lunch if we fancy a lunch out. The reasons being many but mainly, Kids Menu is really good, spacious pub so you don't feel like you are disturbing anyone by having a child there. There is also somewhere big enough to sit. The booths are great for families to sit around and chat. Locals are always very friendly and although we arent regulars always say hello. Food is really reasonably priced and a great choice from the main menu. We went on Saturday and was informed there was a new chef. The food was exceptional, piping hot and totally fresh. The staff were super polite and big shout out to Kerry who popped over to say Hi and ensured we were well catered for, she was extremely professional toward all customers, well spoken and we observed her support all her staff. Parking is great and we have honestly never had a bad meal. Also the portions are extremely generous. It's typical pub grub, mainly burgers, gammon and egg and or salad and chips but it's really good quality. The 3 Starters for ten pounds is also a bonus if you fancy a nibble before the mains. Thanks again to the staff will return again.

Came here on Tuesday evening to meet a friend for food. First impressions good. Nicely decorated and clean. We sat in one of the large booths by the bar with a TV. Not very busy with it being a Tuesday. Ladies toilets were clean which is always important! The menu has a great, varied choice. I opted for 3 of the tapas dishes for £13. I had the melted cheese sticks, chicken Quesadillas and dirty fries. My friend opted for the chicken breast burger but unfortunately, after ordering, a member of staff informed us that they didn't have any chicken breasts so she had the beef burger instead. All food was good and we didn't have to wait long. Staff were friendly. A couple of improvements would make this a 5 star review: Ensure that sauces are on the table and that they are full as we had to ask for sauces. We had to ask for cutlery and napkins after our food was bought out. The large soft drinks were not really large. Would be good to offer a pint of soft drink as a large drink. As we were driving, I didn't really look at the choice of alcohol on offer. Overall a nice experience and would definitely return.

I ordered a vegetarian sausage and mash however my family noticed that it was indeed pork after I ate half of the dinner. I informed the manager who informed me that there was no vegetarian sausages available and the chef thought it was appropriate to serve pork without letting me know. I am absolutely disgusted that this was believed to be an appropriate alternative when I am a vegitarian and was not made aware I was eating a dead animal. I have never experienced anything like this in my life and I have felt nauseous the following two days and feel this issue needs to be raised. The manager handled the situation perfectly and arranged for the chef to serve a different meal of choice. I chose the cheese pizza. The second meal served after waiting a while and all of my family had finished and were pretty much ready to leave, it came and it was undercooked raw dough in the centre, yet the crust was rock solid and was impossible to eat without breaking a tooth?!?! (How does that even happen) The manager was shown the meal and agreed it was also not acceptable. A £20 voucher was given by the manager however I feel this needs to go further and compensation should be arranged as I have not eaten a dead animal in 10+years. I feel I have being violated and if I had religious beliefs I feel this issue would be allot worst. If this was a genuine mistake I would understand however the fact that this was deliberate is an absolute disgrace and shows you have unqualified chefs working in the kitchen! I would give 0 stars but then I couldn't post my review

Desperate for a late mother's day evening meal we pulled in at this pub. Didn't look too bright inside and view through an open door by the bar showed a lot of rubbish stacked in the corridor. There were no roast meals available, as that was only for lunchtime, or the special meals on a separate menu so my husband chose a steak (which came out sizzling on a platter) and the rest of us had fish and chips which were piping hot and freshly cooked. The meals were great and a large fish meal that one of us ordered turned out to be two very large pieces of fish which he couldn't eat. Staff were kind enough to put it in a box to take home. Moral is don't judge a book by its covers. The meal was nicer than an identical meal we had at our hotel on a previous day and only half the price.

As soon as we walked in and sat down, we were greeted with lovely bar staff and managers smiling at us and making us feel welcome. They have a wonderful selection of dishes for Vegetarians, Vegans and meat eaters too! I have allergies and they were so kind and considerate to think about how my food was cooked and prepared and took me through a form making sure that my food was protected from any cross contamination of the things I was allergic to. They really catered to my needs and the food was absolutely beautiful. I definitely recommend O’Neills to anyone who wants a lovely meal prepared in the best way, amazing value for money and great portion sizes too. I won’t be going anywhere else for my food dates again. Thank you to you all who served us, you make this bar shine!

I'd stopped coming to this pub when it was the vine, due to the sour faces and eye rolling from some of the staff and the food had taken a nose dive! Now its been taken over some of more pleasant previous staff have been kept on and the foods 100% improved well done 👏 and the decor is stylish clean and now the best in any Harborne pub top marks!!

Visited O'Neill's in Harborne a couple of times now, live music is always a plus and the staff are brilliant, really friendly and more than happy to help with any query. Great looking bar with good atmosphere, the food is also brilliant, 5 tapas is a good amount for 2 to share, could even stretch to 3 if not greedy like me, careful with the chilli's though, the chicken burger is also very good. Highly recommend this place!

Pleasantly redecorated. Food hot and reasonably priced, particularly the meal and drink offer. All of that said the jewel in this venue and M&B's crown is Susan who is friendly, helpful and professional. A veritable super star. Give that lady a pat on the back and well deserved bonus for a job well done.

Came here as the Vine, totally different in a very good way! The place wonderfully clean and accommodates for each and everyone, football and bands! The food is lovely, portions are very generous. The bar staff are so friendly and very welcoming and helpful, the numerous times, my friends and I have visited, Susan, Holly and Olly were working amongst all the other brilliant staff so excuse me if I haven’t put your name. Would say this is fast becoming the place to visit!

My partner and I love the transformation of this place. From the moment you walk in you are greeted with a friendly smile, and approached as if you are friends. One team member especially sticks out for us. Her name is Susan, but we call her Heather Small. The food is lovely, reasonably priced, the ambience and setting is welcoming. Would recommend to everyone.

Me & my family had a great time here on her birthday & lovely atmosphere here, beautiful decor, amazing food, way better food then the food that I get from a takeaway. Great burger, I had a notorious p.i.g double.

1st time visit on a lovely sunny afternoon. Really clean + inviting inside. Helpful staff + nice drop of Neck Oil shandy to keep hydrated😁 Popped in + ended up staying for quite a few hours-no idea where the time went-great atmosphere. Remember to pop your registration number in the tablet on the bar.

First time in harbourn. Recently moved to the area and The Vine was recommended to us. The whole experience was rubbish.. my meal was to be served with onion rings, and I’m STILL waiting for them 20 minutes after finishing my meal. My partners peas were like bullets, we had to fetch our own napkins and salt and vinegar, no one asked if our food was ok. The chef is sat down talking wearing chef trousers and a crop top. Not very professional, I’m not happy atall, definitely won’t be returning!

So respectful, friendly caring service and any issues resolved immediately they even made sure me , my friends and family had everything we needed and took really good care of us. Customer service like that is rare these days. Karla is an asset to your company I really hope they receive the praise they deserve. Thank you again Karla !
