Visited Baysgarth House within the park. The house was only partially open to visitors but was interesting all the same. The Georgian room was fascinating. The park itself is beautifully kept and is a venue for many public events throughout the year. We were delighted to find a beautiful garden dedicated to Chad Varah (founder of the Samaritans and born in the town). It also encourages you to sit in quiet contemplation.

Beautiful, peaceful haven of pure happiness. I always leave this park feeling blessed by nature. My only wish is that it had a cafe and some sort of water feature, be it fountains or splash zone. To hear the tranquil sound of birdsong and water, would be superb. My dog gets so excited when he comes here and other dog owners are mostly friendly and approachable.

Really good carnival with fun dog show, live entertainment, animals and lots of stalls. Shady areas for the dogs

Lovely kept grounds. Pathways around the park are nicely maintained and roomy enough for two buggy/pushchairs to pass.

Lovely little park, ideally for dog walking and in summer there are free outdoor plays performed.

Lovely area located in Barton. Great big patches of grass which are dog friendly. There is also a play park for kids, and lavatories - although they looked shut (we went on a Saturday). Highly recommend to anyone who enjoys being outdoors.

Children's playground is in need of maintenance but the park itself is very attractive. The Chad Varah garden is a lovely place to sit quietly and there are plenty of areas to picnic. Good paths for wheelchairs, buggies or scooting or just enjoy seeing the birds and squirrels in the beautiful trees. A shame the museum doesn't appear to be open.

Baysgarth Park has celebrated the Queen's Jubilee in style! We have our annual Carnival this weekend. With a small funfair, plenty of stalls for the kiddies and eateries. Also last night saw the over 18s 90s disco take place. And what a stunning sunset to dance the night away too. Today there has been a dog show with various breeds, some breeds not normally seen on our everyday walk in the park! And some beautiful horses too! A great event and friendly atmosphere with the weather been kind to us too! 😃

Take our dog for a run here, it is good and well maintained. The museum has been over hauled, but not re visited that yet. There are occasional entertainment functions held in the grounds Very pleasant. Would recommend it.

Lovely big park. New additions include outdoor gym, water (drinking) fountain and football goals. Leisure centre and library also within the park grounds. Nice for a stroll, a kick about or a dog walk. Plenty of free parking.

Great asset to Barton Town, beautiful park with winding pathways throughout and large grassed areas for picnics and play! I take my dog walking here three or four times a week and he loves it!
