This forum is exactly to the opposite of the Railway station and above the bus station. There is a big car park above the mall and the fee is moderate ( it's just 1.50£ after 5pm). We can find almost all the important shops inside this mall and definitely recommended for those who wanted to do shopping and spend some time with family and friends.

You’ll find Sainsbury’s and other stores inside the mall. Good place to shop or grab a bite with friends and/or family. Reasonable prices and good customer services. Not as big as it presumes to be from the outside. It does attract a trendy crowd most of the younger generation. Very family friendly as you will see many families shopping in each stores. Security cameras are in place but I didn’t see security guards as my visit was briefly.

Nice town centre. I do still miss the old town. Clothes shops and coffee shops in the modern world

I always try to go early as I don't like crowds but this weekend everyone had the same idea! Still didn't feel too crowded for me which was good. I got there at 9.30 and left at 11.30. Got everything I wanted I'm that time. Oh, and I love the car park! I like the wide spaces so you can open your doors without getting anywhere near your neighbour, and proper paths for pedestrians means you shouldn't get run over on your way to the shops!

Clean and easy to navigate, shame there isn’t more shops however the death of the high street is more to blame here, plenty of parking and cheap too, good transport links and overall a good day out shopping with a bit of everything dotted around

  • 5/5 David M. 1 year ago on Google
Very good place to shop. Lots of shops lots of restaurants and many small market type units dotted around. Huge car park on roof. Right next to the station to/from Waterloo and the southwest. Couldn't ask for more in a shopping centre. Always busy but not rammed full of people. Would definitely recommend.

Great modern shopping area. Very busy around H. Samuel's and M&S. Security discriminate on looks I've noticed several times and can escalate situations (not all I must say), into more serious situations. Great place for shopping.

Not too big as compared to other malls but you can get almost everything

  • 4/5 Michael C. 1 year ago on Google
Post pandemic and this shopping centre felt lively and most shopping units were full. Better than some major cities. Keep up the good work 🙂👍

Very busy as it's Christmas time. A bit if a toilet smell in the whole Mall, but i guess not much they can do about it. Sad they don't have Hollister shop in the area.. There are some of Christmas Market boutiques outside, treated myself for a nice grilled sausage hot dog. In general pretty happy with this Mall :) thank you

Love the place, haven't been there for over three years. It was good to go around again. Car parking good, although not cheap. Easy to use with good size bays..

Visited to accompany partner for her Covid jab. Little confusing to navigate but well signed posted. Very clean with no litter. Good selection of shops.

A good choice of shops, well maintained generally and undercover. Parking is reasonable but big, so be sure to remember where you parked. I saw a couple of lost car owners today. Good food choices, and outside shopping space too.

Basingstoke is a great place to shop with a huge variety of shops. Parking is great, but comes at a price. Easy access to train station. The malls are well kept and provide a nice shopping experience.

  • 4/5 Gemma M. 10 months ago on Google
All the usual high street shops, topped off with the most confusing car park I've ever known! I always exit a different way 🤔

  • 4/5 steve w. 1 year ago on Google
Recently remodelled semi outdoor shopping mall of the original town centre. Good parking but has a feeling of being Festival Place's lower market neighbour. Mostly due to the stores within and its smaller size.

  • 4/5 Queenly T. 8 months ago on Google
Neat and your one stop place for almost all you need.

  • 4/5 susan d. 8 months ago on Google
Loads of shops shutting, but you might find what you want, If you are looking for a great place to eat, I would recommend a place called The Cosy Club, great food, great staff and great cocktails at reasonable prices

  • 4/5 Kate S. 9 months ago on Google
Always clean looking, and you can now walk through with dogs, which is good. Unfortunately, most of the upstairs shops are closed. As with most towns nowadays!

  • 5/5 lisa p. 8 months ago on Google
Good variety of outlets, could do with better signage though to find your way round

  • 4/5 Steve D. 8 months ago on Google
Big shopping centre in Basingstoke. Like many others has a lot of empty shops. Working hard to promote themselves. Bright atmosphere

  • 2/5 Orange S. 5 months ago on Google
Nice place, good shops. Usual shopping centre stuff. NOTE: Please take an ordinance survey map to navigate the miles of 'car park roads' to get in and out of the car parks. You need to remember car park colour, level and space. That's once you've found the right car park entrance from inside the shopping centre. You also have to be quick getting out, otherwise your ticket expires. Treat it as a low priority military operation and you should be OK.

Easy to enter Festival Place car park with the wave of a hand, no need to press the button. Also, finding a space is easy too as they have the green light above a free space and red if its taken. There are so many places to stop and take a Christmas selfie - I particularly liked the "two turtle doves" with the music playing as you sat down. Loads of shops all the usual names inside the Mall like M&S, H&M and TKMaxx, but also some food places like Iceland. You can walk around outside and don't need to worry too much about getting wet if it rains because most of the outside adjacent is under cover. There's also festive good stalls and sellers too. Outside, you'll find Card Warehouse, The Works and Robery Dyas, to name a few. Plus, a decent size Primark with self-service tills for speed. The parking was a reasonable price too. I'm definitely going back.

Parked in the malls for 15 minutes and was charged £2.30! Utterly ridiculous. No wonder the high streets are losing retailers, you get charged through the nose to nip in and get essentials! Use with caution. Also, staff were incredibly facetious when I challenged the price by saying "I don't want you to pay anything...."

  • 5/5 S V. 6 months ago on Google
Variety of shops & pharmacies. Kids and pet friendly, disabled access throughout the whole site. Square with casual entertainment. Lots of parking spaces (lookout for the information screen’s providing the availability)

  • 4/5 Naomi R. 7 months ago on Google
When other towns and cities are half empty, Basingstoke seems to be staying vibrant and has lots to do. Good variety of shops and centre us dog friendly too

  • 5/5 Rob G. 5 months ago on Google
First time been to the Malls. Very good selection of shops. Used the sports centre. Very exceptional. Staff superb

Despite losing a lot of shops it still has a good vibe for such a large shopping centre.

I enjoyed browsing the shops in The Anvil at Basingstoke and Festival place yesterday. Managed to buy what I needed. Recommended to anyone wanting to go there. Plenty of shops, cafés and several Banks available to use. Very clean throughout and a one way system to allow self distancing. Toilet facilities are available on all floors which are cleaned regularly to a high standard.

Plenty of shops here to explore! Alot of great bargains!

  • 5/5 Costel Eugen V. 2 years ago on Google
Nice shopping experience for all weather. Has disabled toilet with changing bed in the library. Lots of shops and also some really nice food experiences at the exit towards the park and cinema.

I initially went to Argos inside Sainsbury's, but after that I then browsed around Primark and a few other shops too

  • 4/5 Marcin K. 2 years ago on Google
Nice looking but slightly outdated "high street" of Basingstoke offering access to many local shops. At least majority of shops are still open (unlike Festival place). It would be great if more local businesses would open instead of big chains

  • 3/5 Em G. 2 years ago on Google
A lot of shops are closing down... we need more choice of highstreet shops and maybe designer brands defo need a place for kids to go in here like a playzone / creche with restaurant/cafe inside festival place suitable for babies and small children

  • 5/5 Lynsey P. 2 years ago on Google
Always clean and tidy. Wide range of shops.

  • 4/5 Colin H. 2 years ago on Google
Not a bad place at all, lots of choice around with well established stores. Some buildings/stores showing their age a bit.

  • 4/5 Ravinder S. 2 years ago on Google
Easy go to place over weekends. However most shops closed during lockdown. They are gearing up again with new shops and few new restaurants

  • 4/5 Gillian K. 2 years ago on Google
Variety of shops - all but a few under cover. Good parking. Have been several times but still lose my way! Need more maps/sign posts.

  • 5/5 Matei L. 2 years ago on Google
Loving the parking place and having to choose from so many restaurants. The place looks always clean everywhere

  • 4/5 Elliott W. 2 years ago on Google
Nice mostly open-air shopping centre, with a good range of useful high street brands and a couple of coffee shops too. Located right outside the railway station and bus interchange, and to the north of the indoor Festival Place centre, so easy access to public transport and more shops.

I loved it. I always look forward to going to festival place. It's quite a place with several shopping malls. It's a busy place, quite, comfortable and enjoyable. It's a very beautiful place and peaceful. It makes shopping enjoyable.

  • 3/5 Orlandd 2 years ago on Google
It a wide and dynamic environment, maybe a little too dynamic. Mainly do to the time we live in shops close and open quite constantly. In general there is a good variety of businesses and it is quite complete.

  • 5/5 Peter H. 2 years ago on Google
Great range of everyday shopping and the post office. I am disgusted by the aggressive car park charges, 3.00 for 90 minutes is a turn off, this end of town needs cheaper parking.

  • 4/5 Nicola w. 2 years ago on Google
Since the redevelopment of the town there as been a big improvement. I was pleasantly surprised. Big names in clothing, homewares, coffee bars & restaurants. It would have still been nice to see a couple of charity shops somewhere to shop though as to suit all.

  • 4/5 Sharaline S. 2 years ago on Google
Big place to the point where one can get lost if not careful. Lots of available wash rooms.Baby's changing room was very clean and spacious.Best changing room I have been in so far. One fault.....it's a lil tiring to navigate the way out of the car park.

  • 4/5 Sumanth I. 2 years ago on Google
Renovation has done it a lot of good. But given the high street going out of fashion there are empty shops. Having said that there are few new stores that opened which is great most notably the German kebab shop

  • 4/5 Mark K. 2 years ago on Google
Was not to busy clean tidy. Good selection of shops diy, clothes, optitions, gadet, post office, food shops, coffee shop and restaurants. Benches to rest if needed and toilets however a charge of 20 pence to use them.

  • 5/5 Lucan 2 years ago on Google
Fair place. Parking is expensive but decent range of shops

  • 5/5 RAJENDER SINGH C. 2 years ago on Google
I highly recommend as it has got good range of food, clothing and household stores, all under cover, very close to car park.

  • 4/5 Shane P. 2 years ago on Google
Right next to Festival Place maybe 200 steps then your back under cover from our often wet weather... Always have a look when visiting, normally Xmas shopping yearly as between the two I'm sorted in a few hours plus I use disabled parking bays at the train station as I've a long American pick up that don't fit in Festival Place lol!! All in all a decent mall and where you will find a large Primark, Costa and other eating options. Most importantly it's not full of empty units like many centres. Toilets are available, although all out of use just before Christmas 2021??

  • 5/5 Rachel Elizabeth Alice W. 1 year ago on Google
Clean, tidy, and always feels safe and well managed. For someone with balance issues, it's great that I can stomp my way from shop to shop without uneven or hazardous flooring. I like to small size and the selection of different shops. It may not be vibrant or new or glamorous, but it does the job and is pleasant to shop in.

  • 4/5 Kitty C. 1 year ago on Google
Big mall, very good variety of shops. Not just a 'show case' of designer labels. Very good. Can even do some grocery shopping! Grab a bite (various good variety of restaurants, take away counters). Only problem we found if you need a specific shop - either know your way around (with hoards of walking required) OR call the store to ask where they are (the interactive map does NOT work LOL!! major pain.. ) Otherwise great shops, parking is huge. Paying for the ticket - inside on the way out to the lifts top floor. Great mall really!

  • 4/5 Justin A. 1 year ago on Google
Great to see a shopping mall where most of the shops are actually open. I good selection with stores that are usually no longer trading elsewhere. Plenty of places to eat and there is also a cinema complex on site. Can be very busy at peak periods. Parking is easy with plenty of spaces available.

  • 1/5 BARRY C. 1 year ago on Google
Very disappointed with post-pandemic visit. Many units no longer with businesses, those still operating have drastic stock depletion and poor staffing levels. Worst of all was the inability of restaurants (in the evening) to accommodate walk in patrons due to, again, lack of service staff. If you crave a rewarding shopping experience, give the Festival Place Basingstoke a miss.

  • 5/5 Paul T. 2 years ago on Google
A good selection of stores within the centre. It was clean and tidy and there is seating available if needed. There are lanes for different directions if travel which most people followed.
