Soothing environment, Especially it is best to spend an evening here. The view is perfect. Not suitable for a sunny day in summers. You should carry your food items along with you.

Purthu (Mini-Goa) of Basohli in Jammu is one of the finest places to visit, especially with friends and family. This place has everything to offer, a peace of mind, serenity, beautiful landscape, silent waters and fresh air.

The place is excellent to visit but there is not too much available for eating even drinking water is not there.....and you have to stay whole day at one place there are not too many places to visit there

Very good place for picnic especially with families... Also good place for drunkers and for barbieque best month are of winters only

Place is calm and relaxing but it gets a lot of tourist attraction so it might get busy sometimes. Fun activities are there.

This is one of the best sightseeing place in Kathua. You can spend quality time here by sitting on the river bank. The best time to visit is during sunset.

Amazing experience

It was a good experience. Place is very attractive although the activities are too less but yet it was good enough to enjoy. I think a would like to describe here that the entering road towards this place is under construction so travel carefully.

This place is Purthu and also came to be known as Mini Goa. This is in Basohli Town of Kathua district of Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory. Situated at the banks of the Lake of Ranjit Sagar Dam Purthu resembles the beach and topography of Goa because it sometimes submerges in the water of the lake. It is very famous in the nearby region as a recreation and picnic point. Some people try to swim or bathe in the lake but it is very dangerous and you should avoid it. It offers a peaceful vibe without any kind of interference. It is easily accessible by road. If you are planning to visit here then try to bring eatables as there are no restaurants but only 1-2 food stalls with not that many varieties or options.

Calm, serene. Ideal picnic spot. Carry your own stuff.Lots of snacks and drinks should be carried along.Cook your own food. Music ,sun shades.

Empty place, only one food truck….. not many people but place is beautiful….

As the name goes, this place is somewhat out of the blue in the area. Blue water makes eyes keep looking at it, it's open for all to spend time here and have fun. Mini Goa 'Purthu', best way to reach is via Dunera. Way is little broken, but yes takes less time then the other way around from Basohli. Must visit when planning for having Experience of a beach in mountains.
