We were basically kicked out by the waiter, it was very rude of him to ask us for the bill when we weren't even finished with our drinks. And he had the audacity to lie about a mandatory tip of 10% in Germany. We are never ever going to be back in this place ever again even though the food was actually nice. What a pity.

I usually never write reviews but I just couldn't let the staff get away with this one as they were nonchalantly rude and even explicitly asked for a tip after the poor quality of service (no greetings/goodbyes, giving us 2 chipped wine glasses, dirty cutlery, rushing off without answering questions about the menu etc.). Food was good but wouldn't recommend anyone to come here on a date as the waiters will ruin the experience for you. edit: Sorry I forgot to mention, the ambience was also nice and on par with the cuisine.

The waiter here was very rude and sullen. He kind of kicked us out after we finished our meals. He forced us pay tips even if we had a poor service and he said it was mandatory in Germany which is not! I don’t recommend this place to anyone!!

Sat at table for 15 minutes without service. Was told kitchen closed at 3 so order soon Then when we tried to order at 2.25 the kitchen was suddenly closed at that time. The waiter was very rude towards us and his face was awful also. I think it xenophobia was at work here.. not sure why.. we were prepared to buy a substantial lunch. Oh well.. I hope this puts people off :-)

By far this is the best restaurant in town. And it's French! Tried many of them and not a single one came close to the experience. This is to say the food was delicious with every bite. Had the tuna tartare and mixed platter for appetizers. Those were simply perfect. For the main had the chicken with vegetables dish. Was quite skeptical about ordering it initially, but I did not regret it at all. It's a big portion, and shared it with other who also loved it. Other dishes ordered also got great feedback. Ambience was lively and the waiter (young guy) was extremely helpful, patient and funny. Everything together made it such a great experience! Will definitely visit again.

Super rude server and awful service in general. The server told us "to never come here again" and it's actually a good suggestion. We came in for tea. First we waited 15 minutes to get the menus, then 15 minutes for the server to take our orders. Then another 20 minutes to get tea (after a reminder). No one told us that it's cash only. We figured out it does not make sense waiting to ask for the bill, so we went inside. Saw a card machine lit and working. Then the server tells us "it's cash only". We did not have cash, and the ATM she directed us towards was not from our bank (so ATM fees). We said that you have a working terminal and asked to pay with a card (we have various including German ones). She said that "card payments are for 50 EUR bills and above". We said that she should have told us this when we ordered. In the end, she accepted our card but told us to "never come here again". Worst service ever.

A perfect place for hot wine on a cold afternoon! The place seems magical, with great winter decorations and very friendly staff. We loved it!

Not cheap - we paid 95 euro for 6 oysters, herring appetizer, fish main course, gnocchi, kinder schnitzel, one alcohol free beer and one glass of white wine. Atmosphere is very nice, a lot of tables but without feeling that it's too crowded. Service was ideal- nice and friendly. Food. Some dishes were absolutely delicious- gnocchi, herring- mmm. Others were good too but could be better- f ex fish and schnitzel were unsalted and flavorless (but fresh). Potatoes as a only side dish - a bit disappointing for me (not a fan for potatoes). But - to be fair, we didn't ask about possible changes in advance. I just couldn't imagine that "seasoned vegetable" is boiled potatoes and nothing else. In general - very good if you are ready for prices.

It's a really good place with good food, my husband ordered spaghetti and i ordered some coffee and cake. And you can taste that everything was self made nothing from the can. From the coffee beans, the cake, up to the spaghetti sauce, it was perfecto.

Edelfishsuppe and Jakobsmuscheln were delicious but we were waiting for it for an hour which is disappointing. Part of the items are not listed in the menu and it's hard to catch daily offer in German :) I don't see any issues for restaurant to serve tea.

Absolutely wonderful experience in the heart of Bremen. Cannot recommend highly enough. An absolute treat for all senses!

Had the carroat ginger soup. Amazing( would rather to be more gingery flavout but it ia just my taste). Had halibut(i believe because waiter wouldnt know the english version of the fish) again perfectly cooked. Wide and nice wine selections also!

Very good place, super atmosfer, but something wrong and strange with personnel and management. After taking a small order, they forgot about us. We had to remind ourselves after an hour. Then in five minutes everything was done as if nothing had happened.

really tasty food. highly recommend Normandy Pot. very good selection of wine. cosy and calm dinner, good for a date. a bit pricey but good quality.

We were literally berated for not having ordered cooked food. Even though we weren't also cutting it "cheap" as far as a restaurant could be concerned, with wine and dessert, a waiter told us that that's not really acceptable, as they expect guests coming in for dinner only in evening times - which was a piece of information written nowhere else for customers to be able to know. Terrible service, spoiled staff - customers should be allowed to order whatever they'd like in cafés and restaurants, after they have been seated in.

Great place, Amazing food but we waited for our meals for ages, therefore not full 5 stars. Would nonetheless go back and recommend :)

location in Schnoor, you may have a hard time finding parking.but worth it

Very sweet and cozy place with great food. I recommend the 'Scholle'. Also, it appears like the locals like the place for their after work celebration - the place is very nice.

My favourite restaurant in Bremen. The food is excellent, and sitting outside in their large, covered courtyard festooned with plants is almost like eating in a glasshouse. Helpful staff will sort you out a great meal. Just don't come expecting cats!

Lovely place, great staff, good german tipical dishes.

I had dinner together with my wife. We did,t had a reservation and were placedu at a table in the higher place of the restaurant. It turned out that we were sitting in between 2 groups of approx. 20 people each. They were extremely noisy, which spoiled our evening. Food was ok, but not really special.

One of my favorite hidden places to come in Bremen. Great food and drink, a little pricey for what it is, but otherwise, friendly polite staff. The only reason for not giving 5 stars was that we got the last seats available and my colleague had to slouch under a slanted ceiling in order to fit. This booth should be renovated or not offered at all, no matter how much the guests are trying to get a table.
