The view alone bring YOU 400 years back Paula Modersohn-Becker (8 February 1876 – 30 November 1907)[1] was a German painter and one of the most important representatives of early expressionism. Her brief career was cut short when she died from postpartum embolism at the age of 31. She is becoming recognized as the first female painter to paint nude self-portraits.[2] She was an important member of the artistic movement of modernism at the start of the twentieth century. Paula

Small but very interesting street with buildings in Brick Expressionism style. It's one of the main attractions in Bremen. Here there is the Glockenspiel House with carillon containing 30 Meissen porcelain bells - very interesting performance that attracts many people. You can listen to the musical carillon performance every day at 12, 15 and 18 (from 01.01 to 31.03) and every hour from 12 till 18 (from 01.04 to 31.12).

A lively picturesque street with 7 houses only and 100 meters long. In the 1930s, a wealthy coffee merchant decided to decorate it in the Art Deco style. During Hitler's time, the nazis preserved it as an example of "degenerate art." There are many cafes, craft and interesting souvenir shops. The street is worthy of close attention.

Böttcherstraße. It is the name of an area in the city of Bremen where there are alleys with old brick buildings as its trademark. In addition, at certain angles statues or ornaments are made that make this place so beautiful to visit. Many passages connect one block to another because the color of the walls and the shape of the building are similar, so be careful not to get lost there. Please note that not everyone you meet on the street can speak English so having a conversation on Google or translating will be very useful if you get lost. This place for visitors to the city of Bremen becomes a gallery of beautiful and unique works of art.

While I did not visit the art gallery of this famous German artist, I wanted to mention Böttcherstasse , the street that it's located on. What's not to love about this narrow, quaint, gorgeous little area in the heart of Bremen! Lots of little shops in old narrow buildings. For example, there are tea shops, gift shops and even a candy shop where they make the candy in front of you and allow for samples.

Despite being only 110m long,  Böttcherstraße is one of the major tourist attractions of Bremen. Rare example of the architectural Brick Expressionist style, it was originally home to the inventor of decaffeinated coffee while nowadays it is mostly a street of museums and fine craftsmen shops.

It's a beautiful narrow street with brick walls and a few shops. It was really a nice experience walking through here, giving some medieval vibes through it's architecture. One of the main attractions of Bremen, which is a must visit.

Another one of those beautiful streets to wander in when you are in Bremen. Just take in the old archtecture and admire the views. This place has so much to offer in beauty. Absolutely love Bremen.

Truly feels like a walk down history. The narrow lanes with some historical construction around you and to top it all, there is the Paula Moderschon museum. Truly a place to experience culture and history

I really like this area. Lots of shops and restaurants. Several pieces of bronze art spread around.
