Lovely woodland to wander about and observe nature. It's a lot bigger than it originally seems and is very engaging for children. Me and my partner had a wonderful morning here

Beautiful walk with nature for the whole family. There’s a little train, that can be boarded which takes you a little way around the woods, which wasn’t running when we were there but we will definitely be going back to try it out. A lovely little assault course for the children, all made from wood, clear walkways, as well as off track walking and teaming with wildlife. There’s a beautiful sensory garden, lakes, ponds and small water falls. All round beautiful for all ages with pushchair access and dog friendly trails.

Fantastic community / volunteer driven outdoor space with well-kept paths, ponds and even a minuture railway. Lots of events, especially in summer.

Fantastic woods in Churwell. So many different things such as ponds streams , bird watching, mini free library and a miniature railway. Never realised how large these woods are. If you do visit please go by foot or bike and not car.

Live in the area and have to say this is a very nice addition to have. Perfect for dog walks or just a getting out for some fresh air. It is maintained by volunteers which I think it amazing.

Lovely little walk great for kids. Most paths are pram accessible and they have wheel chair gates but wouldn't say all paths wheel chair friendly. Plenty for kids to do hopscotch, side path course which is fun for adults too who still have that playful side. Little areas made for wildlife where you can try spot the creatures there. Seating areas scattered around. It's a lovely adventure for kids. There's even a book charity for kids and adult, in hood condition aswell, such a great idea. We spent 1 hour n half there and didn't do all of it but majority. Parking is just on side of a road no charges and didn't struggle for parking. I would recommend πŸ‘Œ 😌

This is lovely spot and my compliments to the Volunteers who are doing a great job taking care of these woods. Quite a few paths are accessible but not all. Think twice if your wheelchair is "self propelled" as there are a few slopes. I was on a scooter and found a few issues so couldn't do as much as I would have liked. Having said that it's still a great place to visit. Bill Leeds

A lovely piece of nature within the community. Very well maintained and clean walks. There is a sensory garden and pond which can keep kids busy. A true treasure and heartfelt thank you to the volunteers for maintaining it!

🫀 The ponds are located at the northern end of Tarnfield park , just off the main footpath around the Tarn itself. There is a sign which indicates a good diversity of Flora and Fauna ,however I get the impression it’s a bit of a neglected area. The footpath leading in next to the sign is ok and wheelc...
