All you can eat lunch buffet is a great deal. Everything we tried was really good and fresh. Definitely will be back to try some different items.

My family loves this place. The all you can eat lunch is under $20 which includes your drink and dessert. The menu has several different specials that can be ordered if you choose not to get the all you can eat. I honestly have never seen so many different choice's for sushi. My oldest grandson has tried almost everyone, and can't decide which is his favorite. The dining areas and bathrooms are clean, the employees wear mask, and the staff is always helpful, knowledgeable, and so willing to answer any questions that you may have. I did not give a 5 star rating this time because the service was extremely slow, and there wasn't a lot of people there. When ordering from the $20 lunch special, you pick out a couple things, and wait for the waiter/waitress to bring them to you. When you're almost finished, you order a couple more items until you're full. The sushi has 5-10 pieces depending on your choice so it's a lot of food at once. My grandson spent over 2.5 hrs eating 7 items. 2 of them were seaweed salad and 1 green tea ice cream. The service has never been that slow. My family and I will definitely go back. The service was slow, but the food was delicious.

Sushi was delicious but service was slow. Waited about 45 minutes for my beer and didn’t get it until I had ordered my last round of sushi. Was also told it would’ve been extra even tho it’s included in the AYCE. simply because the server put my drink as a water in the beginning. Sorry that’s not my problem, it’s included so I should still get it. I also asked the lady who brought our first round for some wasabi. She came back 5 minutes later and said “you’ll need to ask your server for that” why couldn’t you get it?? When I asked the server it took another 10-15 minutes and I had to remind him 3 times!! This whole time my rolls and sushi was just sitting in front of all of us. We were all waiting until we had our wasabi… To top it all off, when he brought my beer he spilled all his other drinks on my friends I was with. He apologized. And then actually asked us if we really wanted towels… no I just want to sit here soaked in alcohol. No effort was made by management or staff to apologize for the accident that happened. At the end of the day it was an accident I get that but when no one comes over to even question what happened… that’s where I lose respect for that person and the establishment. If you made more effort to rectify the situation in the moment I’d give 2 stars but this doesn’t even deserve a 1 star. They also never bussed any of our dishes at any point during the meal. Overall very poor and slow service

We went to Sushi Masa for the first time today for a special occasion. It was absolutely delicious and our waitress Brianna was the best. She was very friendly and very knowledgeable about everything. We didn't even have to wait long for our second helpings. The best sushi we have ever had.

When told the best sushi was in Baton Rouge Louisiana, I was, at best, skeptical. SURPRISE, this sushi is fantastic and legit some of the best I’ve ever had. Tied for the number one spot in my book (that’s a big deal). They also have a very large plecostomus which happens to be one of my favorite fish (like alive in a tank, not available to eat). All you can eat and made to order for around $30. The selection is really good. Tons of sashimi options. The “Naruto Roll” is top notch. The food came out quick and a drink is included. There is a full bar. AND you get dessert. “Time for something sweet”. The vibe is “date night in the city”. There’s free parking all around the building.

Very reasonable all you can eat. Takes a while for first order to come in. If you're a big eater, get like 20 pieces of sashimi at a time and be ready for second order as soon as the first arrives. Pictures are from dinner.

I enjoyed the all you can eat sushi bar. The 225 roll was by far the best.

See updates. Really good made to order sushi place. They have sushi and kitchen items all you can eat for about 17 per person. Includes drink. Sushi and appetizers are amazing. Edit 9-26-21: Went from 5 to 1 stars. On my 10th or so visit. Was not able to finish all the sushi I ordered. I understood the menu says a la carte pricing. But charging me $26 (Plus the AYCE price) for two half rolls and 6 or 7 sushis is pretty nuts. Left a really bad taste in my mouth. Edit 12-2-23: Moved back to 4 stars. My girl tricked me into giving them another shot. Was a pretty good experience. They don’t take reservations anymore. The waiters use an iPad to take orders. I am a vegetarian now and this place has tons of options. One of the nice rolls even had no meat. Ordered several tofu dishes and the tempura is ordered by the piece. Tofu and tempura were both great. It is $22 per person now.

The service here is as superior as the food and atmosphere. The aged tofu, green tea ice cream, clear soup, and salmon skin salad are my favorite items.

I had Luan for a waiter, and he was excellent. Very polite, personable, and kept up with his tables at just the right frequency to not be annoying or come off as inattentive. Always smiling! Well done sir! I asked for suggestions on the selection of rolls, and he informed me of his favorites, and after having had both I understand why! Excellent food, quick to the table even though it was busy, and the presentation was art! The manager, Holly, came around to check with myself and other guests, and was superb as well. Well done Sushi Masa! I know where I am eating when I am in BR!

I've been a loyal customer of Sushi Masa Baton Rouge for quite some time now, and I must say that they consistently impress me with their exceptional service and delicious food. The staff here goes above and beyond to ensure a memorable dining experience. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with warm smiles, and they make you feel like part of their Sushi Masa family. It's evident that they genuinely care about their customers. Now, let's talk about the food. It's nothing short of amazing! Whether you're a sushi aficionado or just looking for a great meal, Sushi Masa never disappoints. Their rolls are always fresh and bursting with flavor. And their extensive menu offers something for everyone. I've celebrated many special occasions at Sushi Masa, and it has never failed to exceed my expectations. If you're in Baton Rouge and looking for an outstanding dining experience, I highly recommend Sushi Masa. You won't be disappointed!

While the lunch menu for the "All-you-can-eat" is smaller than the supper menu, it offers a good variety of items. During lunchtime you can usually get in without waiting, at supper time be prepared for a wait.

Jennifer was my server, and she was so sweet! Every time I come here, service isn’t all that great, and it takes forever for the food to come out. However, this time I went right when they opened for lunch and got lucky to have her as my waitress. The time for the food to come out still took a loooong time, but I already have came to the conclusion they’ll always take forever even if they have a lot of chefs behind the counter. Food is good and relatively consistent every time I come! I would give this Sushi Masa location 5 stars, but the wait time for the food to come out needs improvement.

Depending on the time of day you may be in for a 2 hour ordeal, but it doesn't matter. A wait is a small price to pay for the salvation of all you can eat sushi. If I have any complaint at all it would be to include Tamago on the lunch menu. Notes: Has a dedicated gluten free menu with gluten free soy sauce available.

Ordered food for lunch. We got the katsu and chicken and vegetable tempura. Both sauces were missing from the food, my katsu came like this- is burnt (tasted burnt), and the rice that the menu says was supposed to come with the tempura was also missing. Overall, kind of disappointing. Chicken tempura was ok; my partner seemed to enjoy it.

Sushi Masa has an all you can eat option that has a lot of stuff to choose from and is an awesome deal. I love to go there for it. The staff was very attentive and our server and employees kept a mask on at all times. Would recommend!

I’ve been there twice and enjoyed both times. Restaurant is spacious and very reasonably priced for a buffet since you get everything fresh to order. The only downside is that since it is fresh, it may take 10-15 minutes or longer for your item to come out if they are slightly busy, so in case of all you can eat, I suggest ordering everything all at once or in two separate orders. Not sure how it’s not spacious for some as the tables are not too close together. Both of my waiters were excellent and had good attitudes. My only complaint is the aged tofu is not crispy and is extremely bland and it would be hard to recommend that to anyone unless they like plain tofu. All the other items I got were good.

Super cheap, a lot of options, get the all you can eat for 19.99$ , its the best bang for the buck. My personal favourite was the double crunchy roll, and I did not like the 225 cause it was fried but turned out to be mushy and soggy. The gyoza was really good too!

Place was recommended by another sushi chef and it was everything he said it would be. We went early and were seated, ordered and food was delivered shortly after. Next time im going with the all you can eat.

The good is good for the price AYCE is a good deal with only a few dishes that are more specialities not being on the menu as options. Warning this place gets very busy which unfortunately will cause slowdown in time for getting a table and the time it takes to get each dish you order but that should be expected when the place is packed. My current visit staff was friendly and decently quick despite the crowd. Can't give 5 stars due to just the bit of wait I had at the start to get my first dish but after things got faster. If you visit I'd suggest looking up a day that's less busy to go to if your in a rush unless your fine sitting and enjoying the time.

I always go for the All You Can Eat special. It is definitely worth the price even if you really don't eat much. There is so much to choose from and it's made to order so it isn't just sitting out like buffets and is fresh when you get it. Lunch is slightly cheaper bit with far less options than the AYCE dinner. I would definitely recommend checking it out if you've never tried it for lunch or dinner though!

Terrible…. Terrible…. Terrible….. Donne portion size for sashimi is a joke. Time for orders to come in is 30 minutes plus. This is the second time I came with the same terrible experience. If you come and order sashimi they don’t give you 100% what you ordered. They will someone short you and make you order again and it will take 30-45 minutes to get your food. I came on a Wednesday night and 30-45 minutes for food. I will not be coming back. I would rather pay extra down the road for better food and faster service. Terrible and never again. 45 minute for this plate

Officially our new favourite sushi go-to! We went on a weekday, approximately 1pm-ish. Patrick assisted us with our order (both of us ordered ayce) and he was such a pleasant gentleman. We both had a small salad (seaweed, and it was perfect!). We each ordered 2 sushi rolls or items, which arrived with impeccable timing as we completed our starter salads. We did each order a second helping - ordering 2 different rolls/order, which came quickly considering IT'S FRESHLY MADE! Took maybe 10 minutes? Which gave us time to chat and just enjoy a relaxing lunch. Everything was beautiful and yummy, no msg headaches, no icky tummy. We passed on dessert this time, as we had places to get to. But next time I'm getting the red bean ice cream that I was eyeing. My only suggestion would be to heat up the green tea water (it was tepid). As a Brit, we love a good *hot* cuppa. Looking forward to our next visit!

My mom and I ordered hibachi for take out. She had the steak hibachi with noodles, and I had The salmon with noodles. When we got home to sit and eat our food, we noticed how scarce the food was on each plate. Our order was $49.37. When we called to discuss the matter with the manager, we sent photos as well so that he could see for himself, and he proceeded to tell us that we were given the right amount of food, and for lunch the servings are even smaller. He didn’t suggest any ways to satisfy us. Mind you, there is also no taste to the food. Very disappointed with the turnout of our first visit to this establishment, therefore we will not be returning. And there are various Japanese, Chinese, etc. restaurants that we are loyal customers at, however this won’t be one of them.
