I called around BR to sell my silver quarters. Gold and silver of Louisiana had the best prices hands down so I went there. Miss Juliette helped me and she was so nice and friendly. She calculated the total for my quarters, and broke down how they priced them. Additionally I had a bunch of other coins that she patiently looked up and valued for me. I mentioned how I wanted to use the money to buy a watch for my girlfriend's birthday. She immediately started looking online. She found a listing for the watch far cheaper than anywhere I found, and emailed me the link for it! Very rarely these days do I find businesses with such kind and sincere service, and Miss Juliette knocked it out of the park. Can't recommend this place enough!!

After doing research, I found this business to be the most ethical and trustworthy place to sell our family silver flatware. I knew approximately what it was worth but received even more than expected. I also bought a Silver Eagle proof coin while there. Thad was courteous and friendly. I highly recommend this business. Even though I live in Florida now, I will be returning to purchase coins in the future.

I'm not sure who I spoke with today but they were very polite and professional. I was initially planning on just ordering my silver online but he explained to me how they price their generic silver and how buying from them is both cheaper and avoids a lot of the pitfalls of ordering silver online (having to pay shipping costs or large minimum orders, ability to pay cash, etc.). Bought a one ounce generic round for $1.50 less than what I would have paid online. Will be coming back in the future.

Your experience will depend on who’s behind the counter. About a month ago I was offered $874 for 38g of 10kt gold. Compared gold prices for the day, and it aligned. Great Business and very appreciative. August 21, 2021. I went in to ask how much 90.3g of 14kt gold was worth, checked daily gold prices as I always do ($57.27 per gram pure) ($37.27 per gram 14kt) I was offered $1999.00. The explanation I got was, “sir” the price of gold changes daily. Daily price of gold today is listed above. Please educate yourself before you deal with this business or at least be educated in the fact that your gold value may be based on who’s behind the counter rather than it’s value on the gold market. - I think it’s a shame that this is a family business. - You should definitely should share the wealth so employees don’t have to operate in the capacity of a pawn shop when Gold & Silver of Louisiana is advertised as a place to conduct fair business. I guess the finality is, it’s what they were willing to offer. Gold prices quoted above came from various gold sites, and calculators which all calculated the same value for the gold offered and what cash to reasonably expect. $3400 shown - $1999 offered seems to be more like being taken advantage of because of ones lack of knowledge. I don’t advertise myself to be a gold expert, But I’m certain that if you calculate ( there are many sites that provide this service) and query the value of your 10kt, 14kt or whatever gold purity it may be and it’s worth. The only decisive difference from that number and the next, is what is willing to be offered by the buyer, not the value of your gold.

What a wonderful experience. I wasn't sure who I could trust with some coins I had inherited. I had gone somewhere else before and got ripped off badly, lesson learned. I went online again thinking there had to be someone out there who cared about the history of the coin and the correct grading, and not out for big profits. Well I found them. Gold and silver of Louisiana ! It's a very nice place. I wish I would have gone to them in the first place. I had brought only a couple of books, just to see what pitch I was going to receive. There was no pitch and no rushing, Juliet and another assistant was very helpful, and explained how they went about grading the coins, and some of the history behind them. It felt like I was talking to family . I even left my coins with them, they took pictures of them and sent to my phone. They graded them and sent me a total of what they were worth, with options to sell. Which I did end up selling, I was paid on the spot. They paid me what the coins were worth not a penny less. I am very pleased with the service I received and will definitely be a regular customer. Thank you Juliet, you will definitely be seeing me in the near future.

Honestly as a frequent buyer and seller of gold and silver this is hands down the best shop in Baton Rouge. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and the service is quick and professionally impeccable. You are greeted immediately when you walk in the door and will be treated respectfully. The owner is the very definition of a gentleman; in his manner and dress. Skip the others…the only place you need to go for all your metal needs.

Don't waste your time. I brought a pair of inside out diamond hoop earrings that was 3.6 carats set in white gold and he offered me $130. Considering they are a $7000 pair of earrings that was a flipping insult. Like I said nothing but a waste of time. I pawned them before for 8 times what they offered.
