To see the best of Sri Lanka, we decided to contact Blue Lanka Tours, influenced by its top position and excellent reviews in TA. That was a good choice, indeed. From the immediate reply to our email, followed by a tailor made 8 days program suggested by the courteous and efficient Miss Yuresha, we realized on the spot that we were in the hands of a professional team. This medium-sized, yet fast growing company competes with long time established giants like Jetwing and Aitken Spence, which are good but more industrial in the way their cater the visitor. We felt like treated so individually, even in the most touristic spots where we never mixed up with the groups of tourists, never queued, always got the best UNESCO guides, best hotels (from the friendly budget eco-lodge in Yala to the super chic Santani Wellness Resort in the mountains close to Kandy)... and a kind, honest, clever and anticipating guide, Mister Dulanjan, aka “DJ”: he is the best driver ever, transforming the dreadful roads of Sri Lanka into a scenic journey in Paradise. Our car was a brand new, immaculate Toyota Premio G Superior, extremely comfortable and safe. DJ explained to us that his company acquired a fleet of Premio G, and also one Mercedes E Type. Safety was absolute during our tour: in the car, but also during safaris (in a jeep, assisted by a ranger), visits to the temples, or simple things like exchanging money at the best rate. Blue Lanka scheduled must-be-seen destinations for our first visit to the enchanting island, not too much concentrated so that we could wander in exciting cities like Kandy or Galle, have some relaxing time in the tea plantations, or regularly stop our car to take pictures of the panoramas. That was the contrary of a group tour: we were totally free. Besides the historic cities, leading temples like Dambulla Rock Cave, Kandy Temple of Tooth, Sigiriya 1200 steps fortress, we enjoyed the privilege of not less than two safaris in a single week! We know we have been extremely lucky, surely arrived at the right moment of the day to observe wild elephants, crocodiles, rare species of birds and even a family of three black bears (there only 16 of them in Sri Lanka!), but we found the national parks of Sri Lanka, and particularly the scenic Yala, richer than those in South Africa. The proximity with the wild elephants was impressive: unless in danger, they are far less aggressive compared with the African species, roaming peacefully a few meters from our jeep. Abandoned baby elephants are hosted in a state orphanage in Pinnawala, which was included in our tour. Don't miss it! Though touristic, the place is unforgettable, with the elephants bathing in the nearby river. The tour was managed such a clever way, that we experienced three different climates/seasons in one week: hot and rainy Galle/Colombo, dry and sunny Yala, and astonishingly cool Nuwara Eliya (the most Victorian city in Sri Lanka, called "The Little England"). Our tour was all-inclusive, with the exception of personal expenses. No need to include the meals: the best -and cheap- curries are served in the small restaurants, not in the first class hotels. All entrance tickets, guides wage, etc, were included, with no hidden cost at all. Our guide-driver never tried to send us to commissioned shops or restaurants: which is worth the mention, as this is a common attitude in this country. He was the most honest and humble person, making us feel comfortable and efficiently assisted from arrival in Colombo airport until departure. Blue Lanka does a lot to enrich the image of the country, and if we like to promote Ceylon to our friends since we are back to Europe, this is thanks to the professionalism of its staff and DJ's natural kindness.

They are wonderful, cooperative, and try their hardest to give you exactly what you are expecting out of a tour based on your personal preferences! In fact they truly go above and beyond your expectations! One thing that really stood out to me with Blue Lanka is how transparent they are about everything from beginning to end! My husband and I did a 1 week tour of Sri Lanka with the most awesome tour guide! Prakash is not just a tour guide to us anymore but rather a lifelong friend - I was nervous at first about who our tour guide was going to be because it's important to be able to vibe with the person you are going to be spending a week with! He was not just showing us around to places, but he was joking with us, he was laughing with us, had deep life talks with us, and even singing with us! We had such an incredible time chasing waterfalls, seeing elephants, seeing endless scenic views, hiking, boating, riding horses and so much more! We got a true adventure out of Sri Lanka with Prakash! Also a very special thank you to Reshani who organized the entire itinerary for us on two days notice! Can you imagine having to book 6 different hotels all over Sri Lanka with two days notice?! She took all the stress off of me for planning the whole trip which was great!! Not just that, but she was also able to help me with my husband's ETA delay! That meant the world to me because that was the only thing holding us back from taking a trip to Sri Lanka! All of the 5 star hotels Reshani chose were truly wonderful, and I appreciate the level of communication Reshani had with us throughout our trip! She was checking in with us via WhatsApp to make sure we were having a great time and I loved that! Lastly, what a special Wedding Anniversary trip this was! Blue Lanka planned the most wonderful anniversary day on top of what I thought was the most amazing tour I've ever experienced! A week to Remember!!! My trip to Sri Lanka with my friends is one of the most memorable one! A big thanks to Blue Lanka tours. Right from the initial planning stage, Mr. Deminda Fernando assisted me in planning 8 days tour in Sri Lanka this January. He proposed an itinerary that best suited us, knowing all our interests. Our place of stay, vehicle for local transportation and train tickets were booked in advance. As requested, entrance fee of all spots, safari, etc were not included in the package making our trip more flexible. On arrival, we were greeted by Mr. Lasantha Premarathne, our guide on the island welcomed us. He was so humble, kind, patient and punctual throughout. Booker a trip with Blue Lanks for a two week trip around Sri Lanka. They were very accommodating to all of our needs and requests. We could not recommend them enough. Shan Silva, our Blue Lanka guide, quickly became our new best friend. We got to know each other as we drove, and soon my wife and I felt like we were just traveling with a Sri Lankan friend. Who is also an excellent driver! Shan knows lots of great places to visit (and places to avoid) and he helped us adjust our plans each day so we could do more of the things that were most interesting to us. While we could get by in English at the hotels and most restaurants, having a Sinhala speaking friend allowed us to interact with anyone we met – and we met so many friendly Sri Lankans! Nimesha Madushani, our Blue Lanka tour consultant, deserves great credit for listening to our wishes, making suggestions, designing our tour, and ultimately matching us up with a driver we would enjoy traveling with. She arranged everything for one all-inclusive (and very reasonable) price. We basically just showed up with clothes and toothbrushes. We had a great time visiting Sri Lanka and feel fortunate that someone had recommended Blue Lanka to us. There’s so much to see and do here! The tours suggested on their website are just the beginning. We wanted to see the Sinharaja rainforest and take some hikes. Our experience turned out so much more vibrant than we could have ever imagined. Lasantha is an exceptionally knowledgeable professional, caring, with a great sense of humor and is very cool :) He took care of our every need and also gave us enough privacy. For those who are worried about travelling long distances by car and getting motion sickness, I strongly encourage requesting Lasantha as your guide. Despite me always having this problem, I have not had any issues during this trip. I think this is because Lasantha's vehicle is very comfortable and his driving style is very smooth - no matter if you are going through busy Colombo or the windy mountain road at Nuwara Eliya, you will feel great. Although I haven't actually made it to Sri Lanka yet, Blue Lanka were excellent in helping plan our trip, their customer service is excellent. In spite of going through a very difficult time for their business they have gone the extra mile to do the right thing for their customers, being accommodating for changes of plans etc. I hope to make it there soon and experience their actual tours first hand.

Myself and my wife were in a dilemma when the time came to choose between Sri Lanka and Dubai. It was very difficult for us to ascertain which would be better to travel to in these harsh times. SRI LANKA TRIP WITH BLUE LANKA DEC 2021 - JAN 2022 Pure class! From the moment we - a Swiss Family of Four - first contacted Blue Lanka Tours we felt welcomed and valued. Their signature motto “More Love and Big Respect” resonated with us and accompanied us on every part of our journey. Our trip was a long time in planning - the pandemic scuttled our plans three times over. Finally we were able to complete our planning and arrived on 26th December for a 14 day tour. The BLT office team with Reshani and Carol were patient, prompt, polite and professional at every turn. BLT also helped to recover my delayed luggage and delivered it to our stay along the route. The owner, Dinesh was ever present and accommodating. The planning part alone was fun and inviting! We had ambitions to explore the national parks, the temples and sacred places, the famous cities of Colombo, Kandy and Nuwara Eliya to name a few. We planned 10 days of back-to-back outdoor activities followed by 3 days of R&R at the coast. Early rises at dawn and full programmes until sunset - exhausting but we would have it no other way. Wildlife galore in Wilpattu, Minneriya and Udawalawe. Landmarks in Sigiriya, Polonnaruwa and Kandy. River rafting and Zip Lining. Trekking around the Horton Plains, the tea plantations, the 9 arches bridge and Adam’s Peak. A marvellous train ride through the tea plantations and stunning countryside. Exhausted - in a good way! Then a self-rewarding three day stay of R&R on the coast followed by sightseeing in Colombo before our flight home. All expertly guided in an air conditioned SUV by Dilshan, our professional guide and Kirthi, our driver. At each site Blue Lanka and Dilshan had arranged local guides for that extra one-to-one experience. Those details make a difference. Totally flexible and always prompt for pick up and timely with the scheduling. A true professional. Planning was everything and we had access to the office everyday through phone and WhatsApp. Any changes or requests were no trouble at all. All Covid restrictions and precautions followed well. Keywords here - ambiance, friendly, attentive, service-minded and respectful. The island ‘s tourist industry and workers were badly hit by the aftermath of the 2019 bombing and a double hit of two pandemic restrictions in 2020 and 2021. On the morning of January 19th, my frustration with the responsiveness of a "travel expert" of a leading Indian travel portal made me look for some alternative options while planning a trip to Sri Lanka. Why not explore some established tour operators based out of Sri Lanka itself? After some search, the name "Blue Lanka Tours" popped up among a few others. Yes, the reviews are great, but one usually takes these internet reviews with a pinch of salt. So, I dropped note to Dinesh, the CEO at 11:51 AM and pat came his reply. We only exchanged a couple of text messages on WhatsApp but that was good enough to gauge his professionalism. And he promised that his team would get back with the tour itinerary. Time was 4:13 PM and there was an email from Reshani, the Tour Consultant, with a detailed itinerary. Wow, simply brilliant for the manner in which it was curated perfectly according to our preferences. The next few days were spent in some back-and-forth discussions with Reshani to fine tune the itinerary and yet she never lost her patience. Additionally, she also helped us with the list of documents / procedures required before or during the trip which helped us organize our plans better. Her thoughtfulness in crafting a pragmatic tour plan and her ability to come up with feasible alternatives at times is what impressed us the most. The verdict was out – a 9-day tour of Sri Lanka with Blue Lanka and the journey begins on 20th February! A few days go by and enter Carol, the COO and our point of contact on any operational matters related to the trip. She would frequently connect with us before the start of our journey to help with any queries or concerns we had. And later on, during our stay in Sri Lanka, Carol would constantly keep a tab on our experiences. We had stayed in hotels at Dambulla, Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, Ella, Kosgoda and Colombo during our trip, and thanks to Carol our experiences everywhere were absolutely smooth as she had been pulling the strings behind the scenes. She also had a few pleasant surprises in store for us that made our trip more worthwhile! Beware of Shan, our Tour Guide throughout the entire trip – he's much more than what meets the eye! He has this infectious charm about him, can strike up conversations with anyone at will and is excellent at "jugaad". Shan doesn't take long to understand the pulse of his customers and adapts accordingly to ensure that they have an enjoyable trip. His attention to the finer details added with his improvisation skills is what really sets Shan apart from any of the tour guides we have come across till date. We were also lucky to have some of the tastiest home-made Sri Lankan food at his beautiful little home. Surely our trip would not have been this fun without Shan! By the time we left the shores of Sri Lanka, we took with us lasting memories of an eventful trip, and this would not have been made possible without the team of rockstars at Blue Lanka who went above and beyond at every step. There is a phrase in Sri Lanka about EGB (a popular beverage) – "No EGB, No Food". I would draw a similar analogy when I say: "No Sri Lanka without Blue Lanka". About Isuru Damitha , he is so skilled at driving, one can easily feel safty and security with him, we were very impressed with his driving skills and the way he maintained hygine, use of santizor may look a small thing now but he was using it throughout trip and was encouraging us also to use it. While driving, we never found him violating any driving or traffic rules in fact he was not only careful about us but even for small animals passing by roads, he was careful for them too, that shows his approch, Last two days we were in Bentota me and father spoke about Damitha and his approch quite a few times. He is so good and impressive. to summarize, you are the best team! Thank you very much for everything and making our trip so special. We will stay connected for sure. Based on Trip Advisor reviews, we began our email conversations with Natasha Abeyrathne at Blue Lanka almost one year prior to our travels. She was very helpful in working with us to select the itinerary, hotels, etc and made sure to include historical & spiritual sites, city tours, hikes and nature-based activities. She was easy to work with, extremely responsive and had no problem making itinerary changes at our request. Mr. Fernando, operations manager, called a few times during our travels to make sure we were ok. We always were, and appreciated the attention. Our Guide, Mr. Lasantha Premarathne: We have the highest praise for our guide, Lasan. He is smart, knowledgeable, professional, kind and (very important) a good and safe driver. Yes, of course he speaks English, but he also got my husband’s stupid jokes and had an easy and fun banter with him as we drove hundreds of kilometers across country. We are curious travelers and ask many questions about history, culture, wildlife, etc etc. Lasan very happily answered them all, and always had even more information to add making the travels more interesting. He adjusted the itinerary occasionally to work better with location and timing, and we were happy to be flexible with his suggestions. The highlight of our time with him was having lunch at his home with his lovely family. We will always appreciate and remember their hospitality and warmth. Thank you, Lasan! Our Itinerary: Negombo - Anuradhapura - Sigiriya - Polonnaruwa - Kandy - Horton Plains - Train to Ella - Ella Rock - Udawalawe - Yala. We recommend ALL of it. Words cannot adequately describe the beauty, nature and cultural interest. We worked with Blue Lanka in selecting hotels and were pleased with all but one (not a big deal as it was the best in the remote area and only one night).

Blue Lanka Tours (BLT) were one of three companies that we contacted prior to our trip to Sri Lanka. BLT were very quick to respond and eager to help us build an itinerary that we were happy with. Nimesha and Dinesh both contacted us via Whatsapp to ask if we had any questions and to ensure that the tour was tailored exactly how we wanted it to be. A few days prior to our trip, we also received an email from Carol who summarised our itinerary and informed us of what documents we needed to get together pre-travel. This was very helpful as we all know how complicated it can be to travel internationally nowadays! Once we arrived in Colombo, we were greeted by our Tour Guide, Dilshan and our Driver Isuru who wished my wife a very happy birthday and had a surprise for us in the van. They had organised balloons and a birthday cake which was an incredibly nice touch and very much appreciated. Nimesha was also able to organise a bespoke tasting menu that evening and this is an incredible way to celebrate the birthday. We were with Dilshan for around 6 days in total which included 2/3 hours of driving for most days and early starts to ensure we made the most of our days. Dilshan was very knowledgeable and spoke great English. He was always very happy to answer any questions we had and we became good friends with him by the end of our trip. One way that Dilshan was able to add great value to our excursions was through the contacts he had at all the main tourist sites to give us a personal guide. At Sigiriya, Dambulla Caves, Kandy Temple etc we had a specialist talk us through the significance of these sites which was very helpful and made our experience all that more enjoyable. We also heard from Carol on most days, who called us to check-in and make sure that everything was good on our end. I really couldn't recommend Blue Lanka Tours enough and would like to thank them for their top customer service during our travels around Sri Lanka. Until next time!

Yala jeep safari was just one of the activities organised by Blue Lanka . We toured around this beautiful island at a time when Sri Lanka needs tourists more than ever to help its economy. Sri Lanka is full of contrasts of interest to tourists- and whatever you are looking to experience- cultural, religious, activity, beach or nature, Sri Lanka has it. Travelling with Blue Lanka and our guide Shan and driver Chaminda, we experienced a variety of aspects of Sri Lanka, feeling safe and secure and well informed. We were able to direct and change plans without and problem- nothing was too much trouble, and Shan went the extra mile to ensure political difficulties did not impact or affect our tour. Other experiences included ballooning, cookery courses, whale watching, visit to turtle hatchery as well as tours of the cultural triangle and tea plantations and opportunity for visits to the beach. Although I would add that the entire Blue Lanka team is truly professional, respectful, wonderful, friendly, and everyone I came across made us feel very welcome, so I would say that you would be in good hands with every single tour guide on their team!! I can truly see that all staff are quality employees that are passionate about what they do (ideally speaking though Prakash is the first preference!!!) Our anniversary was truly made EPIC by the Blue Lanka team and for that we are forever grateful!!! Hands down recommend them 100% if you are visiting Sri Lanka!!!

I have fallen in love with Sri Lanka mainly because of the amazing care, thoughtfulness and attention to detail from Blue Lanka tours. Everyone that works for this company is truly a blessing to meet and learn from. Our five day tour we had with Blue Lanka could not have been more perfect. When we were not able to take the train ride we had planned, our guide quickly solved our problem by instead having us enjoying a Tea Plantation tour. All of the people in the office were so patient with all the changes we made to our tour and the suggestions they had for our tour was also perfect in giving us a great taste and experience of this lovely country. I will be coming back to Sri Lanka and the first thing I will do is call up Blue Lanka Tours to once again lead the way in introducing me to more of this breath taking country. What a wonderful trip. First the travel agency was very helpful to adapt our trip based on our inputs. Communication was clear and questions promptly answered. To lock the booking, half of the bill was done through a communicated link with an instant acknowledge from Blue Lanka. The remaining of the bill has to be paid 18 days max before your arrival. At our arrival Suraj our driver for 8days, was waiting us. A very confortable black Toyota van, very well maintained, like new, with AC obviously :-). Suraj has all the qualities that you can expect from a professional and experienced driver and much more. He was driving safely during all our trip. His English is perfect. He was extremely kind with our kids. He used to guides us in every stop of our road trip, to suggest us the right restaurant, better beach, breath taking photography spot, etc. Definitely, we'll come back to this beautiful country and it'll be with blue Lanka and Suraj our driver.

My family had the most incredible two week trip to Sri Lanka with Blue Lanka Tours. Right from the start I knew they were the tour company for me. I had several people quote on the tour, but Reshani at Blue Lanka was the only one who read what I wanted in the tour and came back with an itinerary that was exactly what we wanted. The communication both before and during the trip was incredible. They responded to my emails quickly and Carol was in constant contact with us while on the trip to make sure everything was to our liking. Our guide Janaka was the kindest, most patient and wonderful guide ever. He took such good care of us and gave us so much interesting information along the way. Janaka got to know us, and catered the experience to everything we liked. I cannot say enough wonderful things about him. Sri Lanka is a magnificent country. If you come, I cannot recommend using Blue Lanka tours enough. What an incredible trip with an incredible company. Thank you Blue Lanka tours for the trip of a lifetime.

We took a custom three-week tour of Sri Lanka in March. We selected Blue Lanka Tours for their help in planning the itinerary and in providing us with a driver/chauffeur. We could not have been happier with their service! First, their entire office staff was so experienced, courteous, and prompt. They answered all our questions (sometimes in the middle of their night), and suggested variations in our route and other activities or sights we might like. And once we were on tour they checked back with us almost daily to see how the trip was going and whether there was anything else they could do to make our vacation even better. But our greatest admiration goes to our Blue Lanka Tours driver/chauffeur, Lasantha. He was not only an excellent and calm driver (note: driving and parking conditions are often difficult) but an terrific guide and companion for our trip. He made himself available at all times and easily adapted to our requested last minute changes in our itinerary as we went along. Sri Lanka is a diverse and beautiful country with some of the friendliest, kindest people in the world; the best way to see it is with your own guide/chauffeur and a company like Blue Lanka Tours to take away any worries and provide you with the best possible experience. From - India Duration - 7 nights Date - 16-23 April 2023. Locations - Colombo, Elephant freedom project, kandy, Nuwara Eliya, Udawalava & Bentota. Point of contact : Nimesha Chauffeur - Gayan Perrera Pre Sales - It was a quickly planned trip hence I had contacted them just 10 days before my trip and they handled it pretty well. Since my son had already been to lanka and used their service my itinerant expectation was very clear. They had also sent out a mail with all travel tips and requirements week before our trip which was very useful. Travel - They gave us a toyota sedan and it was very comfortable throughout the travel. Hotels - The hotels they booked were according to what we expected and clean. Especially the one they booked in colombo was fantastic as it unexpectedly had a beach view. Site seeing - This was the highlight of the trip. We were able to enjoy every single place we went to. Food - we are vegetarians and getting indian vegetarian food in srilanka is a little challenging but blue lanka took care of it. Hospitality - I will rate this tour agency a synonym to the word. Simply amazing. Pros. 1. Amazing pre sale experience 2. Smooth legal receipts and documentation 3. Great planning with customisation option. 4. Friendly staff. 5. Great execution which a lot of agencies miss. 6. Wonderful hospitality 7. Good guidance and clarity Cons. 1. If we had listened to the chauffeur we would have been late to 2-3 important places 2. We had to pay 100% of the whole cost before travelling. We paid since we already knew them. But foreigners travelling first time can have hesitation. (May not be a problem since they are legally proper) Overall rating and experience. Rating - 9.9/10 Experience - one of the best tour agencies and countries to visit without a doubt.

This is our second trip with Blue Lanka Tours and again we were not disappointed. Our two trips have been completely different, the first included a full tour with the family which was amazing.
