Outstanding operation! I was in Colombo for the first time for work (coming from the northeast US) and I was hoping to get a dive in on short notice. I reached out to Island Scuba via email and Jez got right back to me and was able to book me on a. weekend trip just a couple days ahead of time. We did two wreck dives and I had such a good time that I decided to return a few days later for a couple more. The guides and staff are absolutely top notch! Very friendly and they give plenty of consideration to safety. They provided an extensive pre-brief before getting out on the water so I knew exactly what the plan was for the day. I used their rental gear and it was top notch - practically new Scuba Pro BCD and I also used the rental fins and a dive computer. All of the gear was in great shape. The prices were extremely reasonable - probably the most affordable dive trip I've ever taken (about $80 US including rental gear). The second two dives I did were among the very best wreck dives I've ever done. Highly recommend! Can't wait to return and dive with Island Scuba again! Edit 4/23: I returned to Colombo in April 2023 and had another great dive with Island Scuba! I wish I could pack this operation in my suitcase and bring it home with me to the US. Looking forward to my next trip with Island Scuba.

Decent place to chose to go scuba diving. Location seems a bit odd, if you're coming from the road you need to cross the railway track but it's a nice long straight so don't worry. It is beach front and the railway cuts the whole beach off. It's just how it is. If you have a car you can park on the access road near the tracks. Staff are very nice and friendly, gear looked ok but I brought my own, and the staff were very helpful in loading the boat. The boat, like all around here, is a small boat with outboard motor. It's functional but that's it. Climb in, jump out and hold on in between. We did kettle and Clark wreck. Kettle was OK. (YouTube) and I really liked Clark. With a flat submersion and a cheeky little swim through opportunity it was very pleasant. They are quite the journey in a small boat so consider sea sick tablets if your prone 🤢. All in all enjoyed the day. Just wish I brought tablets......

My 12 year old son & I just did 2 ship wreck dives with Island Scuba. Jez was great to deal with. Very professional & relaxed :-) Our guide was also amazing, safety conscious & very good with kids. Highly recommended if you are in Sri Lanka & have a spare half day 👍

Did some fun (wreck) dives and got my Nitrox certification with Island Scuba in Colombo. The experience was exceptional! 1) Easy access to a variety (18 in total I think) of wrecks, so a heaven for wreck dive lovers. I highly recommend the Sierra! 2) All instructors and dive masters are very international and speak perfect English (something I truly appreciate after diving around SE Asian for a while :). Everyone is super nice and fun to hang out with! 3) The dive shop is very professional and has your best interest at heart - e.g. I wanted to do more dives and was ready to pay, however they advised against going out on certain days due to weather/visibility condition. I can't see why you wouldn't dive with Island Scuba!

Superb dive center with highly experienced instructors and staff. They were able to accommodate my requests at very short notice, and the learning experience for certification was both extremely rewarding and fun! Big shout out to Jez who was a very entertaining instructor- till the next time!

Professional dive teams and good service, Island Scuba (Dive India). The diving just off the coast of Colombo was a good introduction for me to shipwrecks. Both Brandon and Antoine were great guides, patient and understanding. Jez made it all run like clockwork. This is not a fancy operation, but i like the fact it was no frills, low cost, good quality gear and friendly folk. One doesn't need all the bells and whistles, what counts is whether your guide is with you the entire time down under and after - a fabulous dive group to go with!

Personable, professional staff, well-maintained equipment, and fantastic diving! I have done 8 dives with Island Scuba and all have been fantastic. They go out of their way to ensure that everyone has a safe, fantastic experience. I am so glad I found them!

I enjoyed diving with Island Scuba. I did my deep + wreck diving specialty here with Antonio, who was an amazing instructor. He balanced skill training with exploring the dive site. Would recommend diving with him. There are a lot of big wrecks over here with many wreck penetration opportunities such as Sierra Wreck and Cargo wreck. For beautiful corals, there is black coral wreck, where you see a forest of black corals.

I had the chance to do 2 wreck dives with this club and it was really great. The manager, Brice, is French and for French speakers it’s a real plus! I did my dives with Jehan, who in addition to being a good instructor, is a person who has lots of things to tell you about diving, the country... Looking forward to diving with Island Scuba

Very professional dive center - Our guide Tonio was super nice and show us as much as possible during the dive - we don't hear a lot about diving in Colombo but it's totally worth it, it's full of life and the Wrecks are super impressive ! Definitely worth to stop by !

I took my OW and AOW with Island Scuba. They have a great team! Lots of interesting wrecks around the Colombo area. Also, did I mention they have biscuits on the surface interval? Yum! Thanks for the great 35+ dives!
