The only reason I'm giving this place two stars is because the staff is super awesome. Unfortunately the main function of a hotel is to... well be a hotel. For me this means a comfortable place to stay the night. I was here for a conference. This hotel was very run down and from the sounds of it management that doesn't necessarily make decisions that are with the guests in mind but more of a dictatorship over the hotel. When we arrived in our room it wasn't fully clean. one of the beds didn't get all the blankets so when we ask for another blanket we actually got a mattress pad 😂 there was leftover grounds of the coffee machine from the gust before us. At the time we were there there heat didn't work on the main floor and the ceilings were dripping water that were being collected in garbage cans. The elevators didn't work very well. In order to get into our room every time we went up to it we had to ask for a new key because they were having an issue with the key coder on the door locks. Also the safe wouldn't work...

Lovely hotel! Clean bathrooms and beds. No complaints. The staff was friendly, the breakfast wasn't as big but it still gave me the boost I needed to start my day. I wish there was more meat and eggs, but a light breakfast is good sometimes. Overall I feel the rooms are what is important. We got a good night's rest. If I ever stay in Battle Creek again, I will continue taking my business here to help them out. Plus this view at night is beautiful!

Customer service is amazing. Super awesome for conventions the service staff is top notch. The updated rooms are nice. The shower heads are too low and suck. There is a stopper on the faucet in the shower, so enjoy a lukewarm shower each morning. Lastly the pool is "closed for construction" but in reality it is used as storage. I would have liked to swim in the deep end tbh.

Rooms were nice, hotel was nice, staff was great! Thanks only 2 downfalls tho, housekeeping and parking. Parking is in a garage or valet only. Valet is $10/day. Garage is $8/day max each time you go in and out. Plan accordingly. Housekeeping over the weekend was stopping by before 8 am each day. That's a little early if you ask me. Only reason there isn't 5 stars. Other than that, excellent experience here!

The hotel is a bit of an older building and it appears that much work has been done to modernize it. The hotel desk staff, Josh, in particular, was extremely hospitable and helpful to us throughout our stay. The pool was easily accessible with plenty of towels which was nice. Our room was nice and cozy. There is nothing I would complain about there. The free continental breakfast is a cold breakfast only (though there are additional options for a charge available at the restaurant). This hotel is connected to the Kellogg arena and located downtown. The valet parking was interesting because it seems that the staff don't always know whether all spaces have been sold, but regardless, there's an adjacent parking garage that is right around the corner and cheaper than valet (free on weekends). We enjoyed our stay and had a good time.

The staff was friendly and helpful, and the room was clean and nice, but the overall experience was sub par. Many of the amenities advertised we're not available, the valet parking is mandatory and costs $10 a day, but when we came back from going out that night we had to park our car ourselves, and retrieve it ourselves the next morning at check out. It's definitely not the staff that is the issue, again they were wonderful. They are just clearly not getting the support they need from management and ownership. I probably won't be recommending this place to anyone planning on staying in the area.

My son was married on June 1, 2019 in Battle Creek and my husband and I (and many of our guests) stayed here. Great service, clean rooms and an overall great experience. I will definitely recommend the McCamly Plaza Hotel for anyone who is going to be in the area. Also arranged for a brunch on Sunday for our guests and it was wonderful. Thanks again for such great hospitality!!

Hotel staff was very attentive and friendly. Valet was super helpful, great customer service. That being said, the hotel room itself was just okay. Some cleanliness issues in room and hallway. Hotel was under construction with lots of disarray. Building itself smelled oddly in every area. A member of our party that was staying in a different room toward the top floor had tons of overnight noise do to the banquet space above. She complained to the front desk but did not get her room moved Town, at least around the hotel, has a number of abandoned buildings.

The staff are pretty nice, the pool is very good, the rooms were good, clean, and felt modern to me. Breakfast was a no-frills cold meal that we enjoyed. Only complaints are the toilet paper is very thin and the wifi drops constantly.

Overall, the stay was very nice. The room was clean, valet was very kind and helpful along with the front desk. The only complaint I have is about the pool and room service. The pool was over filled with water, preventing proper filtering. So there were bugs and little things floating around in the water. And when ordering breakfast from room service, they got the order wrong. We didn't mind and enjoyed the food that was delivered immensely anyways. If I ever need to stay in Battle Creek again, I would stay here again.
