Wow what a wonderful time we had. Our study group decided to take a field trip to see Adventist Village. It was a beautiful day we ate lunch on picnic tables and went on our tour. The tour was free, and they had volunteers that dressed up in the time period of the late 1800s. They gave tours of all the different buildings and the history that came from them. I would highly recommend calling ahead and scheduling a free tour to see this historic place, you will enjoy it!

Interested in history And how health reform progressed in America? Want to know about one of the greatest cereal makers ever known? Interested in How the Seventh Day Adventist church combined health reform with religion? Then you should definitely come here and get some of everything. The tour guide was very informal and friendly and let us take lots of pictures and try some of the exhibits. It's like a tiny science center for health with all of the interactive exhibits.

Very friendly staff and very knowledgeable about the people who lived in the area back in the 1800s. Place is open to the public to visit freely and tours are also free, they take donations to help maintain the place to preserve the last bit of history in this city. You do not need to be part of the seventh day adventist church or be religious to visit, but you will need good shoes for the walking around the compound.

Such important history occurred here, it is very worth your time stopping by and checking it out. Tour guides are phenomenal. So glad they continue to preserve and educate for the present generations to appreciate the importance of our past

Really nice, however it was close when I went so I just walked around and show the building/House but still really nice. You can scan qr code and read stories about the House etc.

A wonderful tour of the 1800's. Specifically, the inventions of John Harvey Kellogg. As well as the early history of the ministry & formation of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Did I mention it is free? Though donations are appreciated.

The rich Adventist history that is stored here must be experienced first hand by every Seventh-day Adventist! And the director! He was a perfect mixture of wit and wisdom! I had a fantastic experience!

So I have to explain my low rating. Overall it was a good experience. However they dedicate alot of time to John Kellogg. They explain everything about him except his position on Eugenics. Which he was a HUGE supporter of this racist pseudoscience. Why not give an honest account. So I have to mark them down for revisionist history.

Fascinating museum, to view so many of Dr John Harvey Kellogg's inventions for health and healing, and to learn about the history of the Battle Creek Sanitarium. Tour of the Village is a must if you are a Seventh day Adventist. To see a rich history and wear so much of it began. To learn how sacrificial are forefathers were and their commitment to this movement is huge, hard to truly describe.

Great experience! The tours are great. There are bathrooms on site , just ask if you need it. Best way of going is to book a reservation in advance.

Really interesting little museum dedicated to the Kellogg sanitarium (of "Wellville" fame. Not only do they have items from the times, but you can try them out. An example is the foot vibrator. Mmmmmmmm! Our guide was a volunteer intern from PR. She didnt always use the right terms which was misleading at times, and fed us her slightly "modern" attitude (judgement) about some activities/practices she discussed. Some of the informational signs were not accurate either (using modifiers of most, often). But! It was reallllly interesting! Do glad we went!!

It was definitely an interesting tour and experience. The grounds are definitely needing some work. The homes need some restoration on the exterior parts. The tour guide could have been a little more interesting. Perhaps dress in character and have lines memorized instead of reading from books. All and all, not a bad experience!

It was a wonderful experience, the historical buildings are magnificent. However, the host made such a horrific remark about runaway slaves, while addressing a young child. Luckily there was an adult there who quickly addressed the comment. I don’t think this lady has an business working there.
