I booked a room for me and my dog. The staff was friendly, I liked the location, and I felt safe. Besides my room being a little dirty upon entering this was my first time ever dealing with BED BUGS. I did not know at first, but my room was infested. My dog and I have bites all over us to prove it and we are currently washing everything trying to get rid of them. With that being said, I definitely wouldn’t stay here again!

This place was great because of the price and service. My room was like only $90. The hotel was a little older but kept very well. I seen workers constantly cleaning the hotel every hour. If you want a Hilton or a Marriott than pay the $200 bucks. The new management is doing a great job. The staff was amazing and the room was clean and comfortable. Mike at the desk is a helpful person. I will be back.

I am a travel nurse and I have been staying here because it is close to Bronson hospital. The staff here is amazing. They are all so welcoming and accommodating. Sai at the front desk is fast, always so polite, and has my receipts ready for me at check out. He is the best! Joseph, Joy and Casey make you feel right at home. I appreciate everyone here so much. All their hard work makes the stay very enjoyable which is important especially if you are away from your family like me. 10 out of 10 for these guys:)

The place was pretty clean and most of the staff was nice. The was even a nice breakfast. Unfortunately I felt harassed by one lady that works there. She bothered my autistic daughter about when we were leaving, ignored me when I came to the desk, taped rude signs to my door, and got rude when I came back for things I forgot. She is never anywhere to be found because she is always out front smoking with several guests that live there and are allowed to drink right there. You’re nice hotel is being ruined by one bad employee. I’ll never be back. You should have paid me to put up with it.

I stayed a couple of weeks ago. My room was clean and comfy, but the bed was the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in! I wanted to take it home with me!! Sai checked me in and out, and was so kind and helpful. I’ll definitely be checking out this hotel chain again!

I WAS EATEN ALIVE!!! The linen is all white and appeared very clean but there's something living in these beds in room 215 and boy were they hungry. We booked two nights and i woke up to my arms, leg, and belly burning on fire after the first night so the second night i slept in a track suit and thick socks... SO THEY ATE UP MY FINGERS!!! I'M ALLERGIC, so this stay at the bates motel will cost me a copay and a week on steroids. Though all of the previous reviews addressed the smell and lack of hot water NOT A THING HAS CHANGED. The water never gets hot no matter how long you let it run but you better not let it run to long in the sink because it immediately backs up.

Had a bad experience wherein the hotel staff wouldn't reschedule or refund my stay when it was booked erroneously on their end. They also charge much more to deal with them personally instead of with a third party booking site. The room was clean, spacious, and tidy, but the walls are pretty thin.

Stay away from this hotel!!! They will try to scam you for money!! I tried my best to give it the benefit of the doubt after reading all the bad reviews but should have listened. Our room was very out dated smelt like dirty cigarettes, the drain in the shower took forever to drain so we were standing in ankle deep water while showering. We also walked into the room to find a wooden plank on the ground in middle of the room and called the front desk just to have the front desk basically laugh at us. Then after checking out we had them fraudulently charge my Visa card for “smoking in the room” I’ve never smoked in my life and was told that they had “sensors” in the room to detect smoke. After speaking to the manger who was very rude to us over the phone, she basically said I have to call my credit card company and there is nothing they can do. Such a joke of a hotel. Please stay away and don’t fall for their scams

We booked online through priceline coming in from out of state. The location is perfect. We were traveling with pets and they are pet friendly. When we arrived there were many things the hotel had going on that would have affected the needs of our family. They accommodated us the best they could with what they had. When we decided that it wasn't going to work for our family, the staff willingly refunded our otherwise non-refundable booking without hassle. The customer service was excellent. I would say this hotel caters to local residents frequently. There was questionable activity in the parking lot as well as guests gathered by the side door. It is not a place that I would recommend overall, but they did the best they could with what they had and made right by us. We appreciated their flexibility with our booking.

This place is definitely making some great improvements. The staff us super friendly here. The room I have is clean and comfortable. It is conveniently located to gas stations and restaurants. I am amazed at the changes going on here. Casey seems to be very dedicated to making this into a great place! I will definitely be back. I enjoyed some much needed relaxation!

Dated beyond anything I've seen in my life. Holes in walls & dirty floors, worst placed I've ever stayed in my life. Didn't even shower there because it looked so bad. I do not recommend to anyone. Also Lock your cars at night Sketch Area!

I would have a only good things to say about this hotel if it weren't for finding cockroaches coming in and out of the vents. The room was nice and seemed clean. The Bed was comfortable. The in room Jacuzzi tub was a nice touch and we got all the regular essentials you'd expect in a hotel room (coffee pot, tv, microwave, fridge, etc). The employees were nice and pleasant. It was a quiet atmosphere. If it weren't for the cockroaches I would've said I recommend for a reasonably priced stay, but no one wants to take bugs home with them. We had to tie our bags up in trash bags since it was middle of the night by the time we found the bugs. I Doubt switching rooms would've been any better at that point.

We stayed at this hotel while we were on our way to Chicago. Hotel is perfectly located with minimum detour from the highway. Hotel room was just fine in terms of cleanliness and also being spacious. The only downside was the room walls are so thin that you can hear a person walking in the other room or may be little whispers too. Staff was very nice. Our breakfast was included within the price of the hotel stay. Breakfast was nice as they had eggs, sausage, oatmeal, bagels, bread and other regular items. By the time we reached to have breakfast, many items like eggs & sausage were over but then there cook came and apologized for this inconvenience and cooked fresh eggs, sausage and coffee for us and even extended the time for the breakfast buffet. This was such an exceptional experience. She even handed cookies for my baby. Overall a nice experience.

This was in a very convenient location and the staff was so friendly. My mom and I stayed here and every person we interacted with looked genuinely happy to be there. They were doing some renovations and of course there were a few imperfections in the room, but that's exactly why they were doing renovations! I'm excited to return back here in the future. Easy and spacious parking lot and one of the best hotel breakfast lineups I've ever seen! The pool looked awesome, although we didn't use it. I was very comfortable in the room and the bed was great for me. I especially loved that they decorated for Halloween!

It's too bad you make a reservation almost a week ahead get to the hotel they can't find your reservation even with the confirmation email. They weren't even willing to work anything out with me. Not sure if I'll use this brand of hotels again and I travel a lot for work and fun, but I guess I'm just one person and nobody is really going to care what I have to say

Worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. After trying 3 different rooms we finally got one that was acceptable. The bath tub was dirty and room smelled of smoke and mold. We asked for our money back but was told it was impossible.

My kids has an amazing time swimming and relaxing! Breakfast was awesome! We definitely needed that mini break after such a crazy week and switching up our living situation!

They are updating with fresh paint and carpet-- looking good! No elevator is a downside. I'm not sure what was going on with the pool, but it drastically bleached out my hubs short - black to a gray brown. We've never had a pool do that.

Wow what a terrible experience. We hosted a meeting here the person at the front desk speaks know English and did not know what a projector was nothing in the room was set up for us it looks like the hotel is falling apart from the inside out they have a creepy kidnapper room old bathrooms and very sketchy overall building quality. We will never use this hotel for anything again

The hotel was a great location, and the staff was great at check-in. But here comes the bad. -The door between my room and next was broken (in pictures below), so switched with my mom, so she was in that room joined with my brother. Tried to hide it with the lamp plus desk infront of it. -go to put my bag in the closet area and thankful didn't trip and hit screws that come through from holding the thermostat. -Tv and box didn't work, but the staff finally switched it out for a different one. Plus, there are not many channels either. -bathroom has mold and is just plain nasty. Toilet seat broke. -lampshade by bed has I dont know on it and dirty as can be. -pool down for whatever reason. -stains in the carpet and looks very dirty, nasty, and loose, not down tight like it should be. -Seem to have a lot of local residents frequently as alot of activity in room across from ours. - ice machine on 2nd floor not working had to walk and find one. For the price we had to pay, I would expect everything to be up to code and nice. To pay almost 275.00 for 2 nights in this is just wrong and really hotel should shut down until all is up to code and rooms look like pictures you advertise you have.

Ok! So! We stayed here this past weekend! Pros: The MAIN reason I put four stars is ONLY because of the night staff man named Joseph! VEEERY pleasant, polite, friendly, professional, courteous, very helpful, a little talkative but with good conversation! The room we had was spacious, the bedding, towels, bathroom were neat and clean, and the heating unit worked nicely. I also love how they still have microwaves in the bed rooms. There are two gas stations right in front so it's a nice walk over ideally in the summer. To Teone, Bahdu, and Liz all I am going to say is God bless you.. Cons: The walls and carpet come off as old and somewhat dusty. Upon checking in we arrived late. So I asked the one young man for extra bedding. He replied they don't give out linen after 10pm. MIND YOU, it was still late 9pm. Two, that couldn't have been true because what if something was wrong with the bedding upon arrival? The next afternoon, certain unnamed staff tend to stare and constantly glance at us while a few of us stood chatting in the lobby. When questioned if there was a problem, one staff replied that we were talking too loud. One, if that was the case, you could have simply told us that. Two, there was no problem with the volume of us talking at all I promise! This same staff seemed to simply hate that our group was there. As we spoke to them they barely spoke back to us as if they didn't want to. When asked if there was any salt and pepper, it became missing as if they took it out of the dining area. Same thing with the microwave became unplugged after it was used. OK? When I asked these staff for their names one woman after not responding to me the first time, replied to me "No ma'am! You can't have that." Ok. I later learned her name but I won't mention it here. This is just something to be aware of.

First of all I’m not from the area and I brought my wife and kid with me. So I go to check in it’s 245 at this point Check in was at 3pm the hotel was completely empty and my room was reserved. The lady was rude right off the bat and she said my room wasnt even cleaned. There were two other at the front desk and for some reason she felt the need to stop helping me to answer the phone and put me on hold. It’s not 255 and I finally get my card for my room she says oh your room will be ready in 15-20 mins. So I said 330? She says no 305 okay cool their going to get the cleaning staff right to our room and get us in. Not the case I go on at 310 and walk to my room with my wife and son and the cleaning staff says we haven’t even touched your room it’ll be 30 mins. Ntm the pool was out of commission the lady said it went out last night but after reading others comments apparently they offer the pool but when you get there she says the same line every time. We are now staying in Holiday Inn for the exact same price. I’d advise everyone to not stay here.

Two star hotel (per google), two to three star amenities. VERY affordable, a little basic/worn/old (renovations of some areas are in progress), but the staples are covered. Good, for the price. Lots of minor issues: Safes do not work. Paint is a little splotchy. Curtains have some drips of spray foam on them. Some dirt in corners, around drains. Desk chair has peeling armrests, some outlets are a little loose, closet door is stuck open. Bathroom lighting is dim. No elevator, luggage carts are available. The important stuff works: Enough pillows. Good AC. Fridge works well. Lots of lamps (LED bulbs too), outlets on desk and both nightstands. Good water pressure, no hot water shortages (though it could have been a little warmer), typical budget low flow shower head. Standard single ply TP and tissues. Typical amount of trash cans, floor space, luggage stand, desk/counter space, seating. Typical medium-size 1080 TV, though the cable box was a bit finicky. Continental breakfast is available, I did not partake and cannot speak to quality. Pool is present, did not partake. Building side entrances require a key card, room had typical electronic lock/deadbolt and flippy-lever inside-only lock. WiFi is available, doesn't seem secured, I did not test the speed.

very outdated , dirty hallway . my room stunk really bad . it smelled like wet cigarettes and the windows were so filthy dirty they had spiders in every corner . the pool wasn’t available even though they said it was- and make sure you lock your car outside because it was in a really sketchy neighborhood. The breakfast was horrible . if you call them egg? the coffee wasn’t even hot. Way to many things wrong. Definitely not worth it . Stay away . it’s not worth $75 which they were supposed to charge me but I ended up paying $125 for one night. I booked 3 nights but didn’t bring my suitcase in because it was so filthy dirty. It was totally disgusting.

I booked through a 3rd party website & wasn't aware that our room was on the 2nd floor, or that this hotel does not have an elevator until we checked in. With 5 kids(2 of which are babies) and all the stuff that goes with them we were not pleased to discover this. Fortunately the receptionist was able to switch us with someone from the 1st floor who had a comparable room and hadn't checked in yet. The 2 queen bed room was clean and spacious enough to fit our 2 pack & plays and still allow everyone to move around comfortably. The evening receptionist didn't have her teeth in, which seemed a little unprofessional, but she was very kind and helpful. The morning guy had a heavy Indian accent and was difficult to understand and didn't seem to care whether I understood what he said. I think he charged me for a new room key when we got locked out at breakfast. The breakfast was good; the usual cold breakfast options in addition to biscuits and gravy, sausage, scrambled eggs, and make your own waffles.

The hotel is clean and the front desk staff is friendly and helpful! The hotel is a little dated, though it appears to be partially renovated. The room we stayed in was very spacious. The beds were soft and the bedding was clean. The AC was a little weak for a room it's size and sometimes struggled to keep up. Overall our stay was enjoyable and I would stay again.
