Visited back in Feb and this place is confusing. There’s not much to see here and I’m not clear how the statues, pants and wall art are related to the world heritage aspect of Mekala. The park is largely a paved area with some plants and statues. The centre of the park is dominated by an oversized sculpture of Malaysian bodybuilder, Gan Boon Leong. It’s an okay place to visit especially on a weekday without the crowds, but I just don’t know what this place is supposed to be.

An iconic part of Jonker Walk where it shows Melaka's famous icon and bodybuilder Dr Gan Boon Leong, who brought Malaysia to the world level of body building in the 80s. The park serves as a historical place in Melaka where visitors can sit and relax from the busy street life, and also take photos here.

It is a small park in the middle of Jonker Walk, so small that it can be covered in less than a minute. It has a few statues, and some nice tall trees and the main purpose is to sit and relax. This park has few visitors and is very peaceful, which is a very huge contrast with the very busy Jonker Walk just one step away.

A small and pristine park, a hidden gem for those seeking a moment of respite from the bustling streets. This tranquil oasis is graced by a statue of Dr. Gan Boon Leong, the founding father of Malaysian bodybuilding. The park's immaculate surroundings and the dignified presence of the statue create an atmosphere of calm and reflection. It's a perfect spot to take a break, unwind, and escape the hustle and bustle of China Town. Whether you're enjoying the greenery, appreciating the statue's tribute to a significant figure, or simply taking a leisurely stroll, this park offers a peaceful retreat in the midst of the city's energy.

Although I am not a fan of high humidity, this was a pleasant walk with plenty to see and photograph. A place where you can learn about Malacca's mixed culture and that it is a gem to be treasured.

Park commemorating Melaka's icon Dr. Gan Boon Leong. The place is a nice respite from sightseeing along Jonker Walk, ample benches to rest and clean toilets within for visitors, not to mention the photo taking opportunities.

An open area with trees within the hectic Jonker walk. There is a bust of the famous Mr Gan Boon Leong who was a famous Malaccan body builder. A good place to come cool down under the trees. There is also a public toilet here.

This park is just off Jonker Walk. It is largely a paved area with some plants and statues. There is a distinctive statue of Mr. Universe which is prominently positioned in the middle of the park. This area is a bit less crowded than the main thoroughfare of Jonker St, so it's a good place to come to escape the crowds for a bit if you are here on a weekend. Jonker Walk gained special status as a cultural heritage site in 2010 mostly because of its architectural links to the Portuguese era, but we experienced it as an unremarkable jumble of small traders and local food outlets. This area always crowded during nighttime. A lot of attractions such as rickshaw, various choice of foods, arts and etc.

Jonker Walk World Heritage Park is the Chinatown in the city of Melaka. Popular with the shops selling clothes, antiques and wide variety of foods. Pro tip: The night market held here every Saturday and Sunday is the highlight of the place!

This is one crazy place. So many people and so much activity. I like the fact that you have so many unique stalls selling all sorts of stuff including all kinds of foods. Pretty much overwhelmed in a good way as I was kinda excited to see so much. The best part is seeing everyone from sellers to buyers having a great time......which has to be a place for side hustles to thrive. It's also within other tourist attractions in town. A wonderful Melaka drawcard for tourists and locals alike. Will definitely come back again.

(Translated by Google) To the place where Malacca can't be missed, the canal at night is beautiful. The nearby text belongs to the Fujian cultural relics and temples. You can also taste the dim sum of the local culture and the foreign culture, or the special spot for the hot weather. The antiques are also prosperous at the same time. Many delicious things are also very suitable for buying some gifts in this place. There is a night market in the evening. The local language is mainly in Mandarin Chinese, and there is no obstacle in communication. In the afternoon, it is quieter. You can look at the nearby ancient urns, which is suitable for taking pictures. At night, many vendors can taste snacks. People need to pay attention to their wallets, girls should pay more attention to some people will be sneaky, try not to wear a wife too cool or too prominent to be targeted by the wolf to protect their own safety.
