First time trying the fish and chips here after I was looking out for a place to go too. Overall, I didn't like the food here as I have tasted better for less. We ordered the platter for 2, dory of two pieces is actually 1 dory cut into 2. I was expecting two whole fish. Homemade fries was also so so. The calamari were hard and rubbery. Muscles and prawns were pretty small. Fish fingers was okay. Have not really tried actual British fish and chips, maybe it is like this. Not sure. Dessert was okay. Lemonade was good and refreshing as well. The server was friendly and helpful. Parking is hectic here. So, I don't think I will revisit again.

Fantastic fish and chips and great customer service. First time trying this place out and the staff was very helpful in explaining the menu. Had the seafood chowder and fish and chips with haddock and cod. Fish was very fresh and the malt batter was fantastic. Will definitely revisit πŸ€—

A little gem in SS15. Generous portion of chowder brimming with lots of seafood. The garlic bread that came with the chowder was also very tasty, drenched in butter, garlic and herbs. The batter of the fish was light and crunchy. A hearthy meal.

Been looking around for authentic English style Fish and Chips. To my surprise this one actually taste good and better than some of those bigger names in malls. Tried both battered and seared versions, it didn't disappoint. The Fish & Chips taste true to how it should be. Crispy and crunchy batter which is not oily nor too thick. Perfectly seasoned. I wish the batter was a bit puffier but that's just me. The tartar sauce was spot on, not just a simple sourish mayonnaise. Chips are thick cut and better than most fast food joints. The mushy mint peas is unique but not overwhelming. Recommended but order other than Dory, the Snapper was really nice. Seared version was good too but the highlight is the creamy lemon butter sauce. The zesty flavour is prominent here and goes so well with the Perch Fish. The butter rice was just ok for me. Overall, I would say one of the better Fish & Chips in Klang Valley. It's not oily, tasty and the background music lives up to the theme too. Price can be on the higher side but is not exorbitant.

Great food! Big portion!..We took the family feast which is more than enough for family of five. The waiters are very welcoming and gave tip top service. The parking is very difficult as it's right in the middle of busy SS15.

The best fish n chips I've had in Malaysia! Love the variety of fish, batter and sides. The french fries are also great and have a unique texture and flavor. Only criticism is that it's a bit too pricey. Dory being the cheapest option starts at 23.9. I've ordered dine in and for delivery through Foodpanda, enjoyed them both (though on Foodpanda I got a decent discount which made for a better deal).

Food is fine, batter is of course great because you have different choices but I’d put it along side the batter of Manhattan Fish Market. We ordered the package one with drinks and a set of different mains and loved the seafood we got. The coleslaw and milky mash were a bulky. I was though a bit disappointed with the β€˜mars’ desert, well for the price it was a bit of a disappointment and I wouldn’t order it a second round. My experience was literally mars with ice cream. The lemonade was interesting because it had different flavours infused but was essentially still lemonade. Fries were good though. Price was a bit high.

The fish is nice, crispy on the outside and fish remains fresh and succulent inside. But the rest of the sides including the sides were quite disappointing- Mashed potato was dry and lack of buttery taste, green peas mash was also dry and lack the flavour, chips (fries) was not crispy. My friend told me the Damansara outlet was better but I have yet to visit. Price range for normal fish & chips set starting from rm25 upwards (from dory fish to more expensive one)

This place is very nice and the service was great. We ordered two fish and chips sets, one was Perch with Chilli and Lemon; and another one was Dory fish with Lemon and Herb. I personally preferred Dory fish. The fries were saggy, otherwise, the minty mushy peas, mashed potatoes and baked beans were okay. The portion was enough. The total price was RM60+.

I came for British Mash n' Pie, and it did not disappoint! The food came out fresh and delicious, but the service left much to be desired. For the price I am paying, I expected to be seated in a nicer table. I chose a table that was photogenic and not facing against a wall. Sadly, I was directed away from the table I chosen. Only to be seated near the toilet by the waiter. Even though, there were not many customers during the hours I visited. The chair that was provided is not as comfortable as the one I had before. Probably, this has to do with me visiting their shop alone, but I still find it unacceptable. I was visibly frustrated and tired, and I wanted to enjoy some delicious warm meal. However, if you are here for the food, then it will definitely not disappoint you. Just do not have high expectations from their service and the price you will pay.

Cor Blimey is the first place I think of when I get the craving for fish and chips. Fish is fresh and comes in a variety of batters. This joint also serves deep fried mars bars - the kind you could only get in Scotland.

Fish was good, the chips are not UK chip shop level but it's likely not the restaurants fault as the local potatoes varieties are different to what's widely available in western countries.

A satisfying dining experience. Although a bit on the pricier side, but the portion was big. To me, the fish had a perfect meat/batter ratio, and they were not too oily at all. The batter itself tasted great (ordered the onion & garlic batter). The chips were amazing as well, thick and juicy but adequately crispy. Can’t wait for my next visit to try the other food on the menu.

The fish and chips is good and tasty. Good place to have dinner with friends and family. Must try the haddock fish or cod fish. The regular fish like snapper and dory taste not so special and so common. The special fish brought from UK is a must to try. Location easy to find, only parking is challenging specially during peak hours. Service was nice and warmth. Price acceptable with that kind of fish selection.

Friendly staffs and SOP is well attended. It was our first visit to Cor Blimey, and we ordered Halibut and Alaskan Pollock with chips, coleslaw and mushy peas. Sorry but I've tasted better fish and sides from other restaurant. The fishes to me were slightly overcooked and the batter were rather thicked. We couldn't help but to order more drinks in the end. I was eager to visit this place and hopefully to recall some of my taste bud memories in the UK but sadly it didn't happened. Not sure if I would recommend this to my friends.

Ordered platter for 2, coating for the fritter are quite thick, but i like the shrimp coat as it is crispier, others like fish finger, sotong, mussel are the same, so abit greasy, overall food was decent. Pickles was not my thing, tartar sauce could be more richer to enhance the taste, service not bad.

The taste is 95% closer to authentic London's Fish and Chips. I might say the fellow manager Mr. Shawon and the owner are very generous, humble and very consistent with their food quality and knowledge. According to me , it reminded me of London's Fish and Chips taste. Appreciated and maintain this food quality throughout life. I think It is truly one of the best fish and chips in Malaysia.

If you're craving for fish and chips this is definitely the place to be. Th menu was really focused and there's a nice selection of fish choices. The Atlantic Cod was superb and very much worth the price! My wife had the Dory and she loved it as well. The place was really clean and cozy too, and the staff were really cheerful and attentive. Props to Shawon at the reception for being so genuine and welcoming us to the shop, and also the waiters. Would definitely recommend this place for a nice cozy date or even families with kids (there's kids menu items as well). Would come here again!

The best fish and chips in Malaysia Their Fish and chips to be specific the batter achieved a satisfying crunch, encapsulating moist and flaky fish inside. We ordered Seafood Sharing Platter for 2 (10/10) or can I say it's actually enough for 3! (For small eaters). All seafood presented were fresh, crispy, tasty and to our surprise, used different batter recipe respectively. Indeed the best I've ever tasted. Tartar sauce, creamy mash, minted mushy peas are all delicious! The Atlantic cod fish was very delicious, succulent and delicate texture, with each bite offering a burst of fresh, oceanic flavor. When properly seasoned and cooked, the natural sweetness of the fish shines. Simply choose plain batter for this! Best waiters. Their waiters embodies professionalism and hospitality, displaying a genuine interest in ensuring a positive dining experience. They are attentive, adept at anticipating needs without being intrusive. Knowledgeable about the menu, they offer recommendations with enthusiasm and I'm glad that we followed their suggestions. Their friendly demeanor, enhances the overall atmosphere. Their presence contributes significantly to the overall satisfaction of diners, leaving lasting impression. We definitely will come again and again.

Their batter here is light and not greasy, definitely better than the conventional fish and chips outlet in malls. We had the Atlantic Cod, Hake, Dory, and White Bait. They were all cooked perfectly but surprisingly, the Dory was the one that we all liked best. Overall a very nice place to go for good quality fish and chips.

You can't find more British fish& chips around Ss15. The chips are Large and the fish are in big portions, But hopefully it can increase food hygiene as there's a small hair on the plates and ants on the salad bottom.

Good place for a good fish and chips with other fish selection instead of the normal dory fish sold elsewhere. Tartar sauce is lovely. Go for a traditional UK style fish and chips.

I have been wanting to visit Cor Blimey for so long, and finally had my dinner there today. This unassuming restaurant focused on serving the famous Fish and Chips with the authentic British taste. With a variety of fish options, platters and pies to choose from, we were spoilt for choice. Hubby and I ordered the Seafood Chowder, Pan-Seared Dory and Deep Fried Fish (Dory) with a side of Creamy Mash and Minty Mashed Peas. The chowder was amazing - it was a large portion, filled with chunky vegetables and absolutely tasty. My pan-seared dory fish came with some steamed and lightly roasted veggies plus a creamy lemon sauce that went really well with the fish. Hubby was happy with the mash and peas but said that his fried fish was salty. It’s a shame, it would have been 5/5 stars if the taste was good. After we finished our meal, we mentioned it to the manager and he apologised and gave us a discount. The restaurant seemed really popular and was packed even for a weeknight. I was happy with the good service and felt comfortable in the straightforward interiors of the shop which was furnished with British photos, knick-knacks and vintage posters. I’ll dine again and might update my review the next round.

We got the family platter for 4 where you get 4 types of fish, 8 pieces of fish in total. Fish was great, they could have given more tartar sauce for that amount of fish though (you can order and pay for more). The chips were so so, some were dry. The sides were also average only. Price was on the higher end as well. Ambience is very basic. Service was average tending towards slow, at times it was hard to get the attention of the waiters. So yeah, the fish is the main star and the only reason why I would return.

  • 5/5 Seddi 9 months ago on Google
Simply Scrumptious! Absolutely loved it! The dishes - fish and chips, seafood chowder - were simply delicious! The tartar sauce tasted like tartar sauce from the British colonies! The Fish and Chips I had this afternoon took me back to Cape Town ( South Africa ) where it’s on the list of traditional meals. In fact, many people eat it daily because it’s so nutritious and affordable! The service was excellent! Staff are immensely hospitable - they make you feel at home as you enter! They are professional, polite, and know their products quite well! This gives them the competitive edge over many seafood cafes in KL! To the haters, might it be that you didn’t sleep too well last night therefore everything and everyone you see … is just bad! They might also be competitors putting this cafe in bad light to lure away customers! Distasteful Negative marketing strategies! Atmosphere - I simply loved it! It’s like a typical coastal seafood cafe - simple with scrumptious meals! Simply loved it! Will come back for more!

Ordered Halibut. Bit pricey (RM45 with 10% svc charge, being importer). Tasted fine but nothing special. Not sure how close it was to being true blue British..as I've not been to the UK. Very limited side dish selections. Restaurant was packed as it was dinner peak hour. Portion of chips is a bit too much and that makes you full, rather than the fish, where the portion is standard. It was proper wedges style chips and not those packet french fries. Would have been more savoury if the chips were salted. They were not salted, hence bland.

Won't visit this restaurant again. First of all, they took more than 45 minutes to serve my order. All their chip are soggy and not cripsy. Yet both of the halibut and snapper are mushy. Was about to give 2 stars, but 3 stars because of their friendly waitress.

Absolutely love this place. The fish is fresh, the service is attentive. Food is good, and you know its good when kids love the mushy peas. Great choice of fish for battered fish as well as a good selection of batter. My favourite has to be the onion and garlic batter on haddock. They have platters where you can have a bit of everything and today, we tried the fish cakes which was really good. Will be back for more.

Overall the food was good. I had the snapper and it was wonderful.. fresh, big piece, moist and nicely battered too. I had the lemonade which was fresh and refreshing! My only gripe is that the potatoes, both fries and mash, were bland. Mashed potatoes were literally boiled and mashed with no butter or salt or pepper so it tasted raw. Thick cut fries were undercooked too. Oh also please add coffee to your menu. It's a huge crime not to serve at least nescafe.....

Having lived in England since I was 16, I did occasionally long for the nation's traditional food (I know, weird to have that feeling when Malaysian cuisine is off the charts). Finding a good chippy that wasn't a gimmick in either the KL city centre or in more cosmopolitan areas such as PJ and Bangsar, it came to a surprise when I learned of this location was fairly nearby. The restaurant is cute, and instantly transported me back into the UK with its ambience. The food genuinely tastes like meals from England (as much as can be), with the staff extremely friendly and always up for a chat. Wonderful!

One of the best british fish and chips in klang valley. The platter for 2 is good for 2 adults and 2 young kids. Always upgrade to go for the perch over dory. I like the batter, crispy and yet not oily. The lemonade is a little too diluted for me. one thing I dislike is the table. The 4 seater long table is a little too small for 4 adults. They have many options for the batter for the fish and chips but unfortunately I find it oily and the chips were not the crispy ones. 3 of us shared a seafood platter and a fish and chips, it's quite heavy. So you might want to consider sharing if you are coming in a group instead of ordering one for each.

The platter for two was a whole lot to swallow. Ingredients was fresh. Batter was awesome (Cajun batter). Crispy and thin, doesn't steal the fresh taste of the food. Seafood chowder was very delicious. Small and busy place. Service was slow but understood the situation is a bit crowded at dinner time. Overall this place offer one of the best fish & chips in KL☺️☺️☺️

First time visiting Cor Blimey and ordered the seafood chowder and platter for 2. The seafood chowder is delicious with loads of seafood. Breads were crisp and flavorful. Highly recommended. However, the platter for 2 is not meeting our expectation. The fish (Atlantic Cod) is nice and succulent but the batter is not as thin as expected. It was quite disappointing for other food component on the platter. The fish cake is soft and not flavorful, the batter for calamari/ whitebait fish is very oily. The chips are soft and greasy. Fried shrimp and fried oyster were okay compared to other components of the dish. We had Fish & Chips regularly and what was served today is not meeting our expectation (seafood chowder is good though).
