I am Vegan and the options are amazing and the restaurant is to cozy, that makes you feel home everytime you go. Taka the owner is lovely, and talking to her makes the experience even more memorable. Amazing atmosphere, warm-hearted owner and service and food of course! I had the fried chicken with spicy sause. Highly recommended!

Nice service and atmosphere, but this place is too expensive. Stuff we ate weren't full of flavor : salad with teriyaki chicken + dish of the day (Omelette with rice).

Finally a place where you can eat authentic japanese food. Everything tastes amazing and just like in Japan. The service is great, and the atmosphere is good. With the weekly Special you can taste a lot of different dishes that you can't get elsewhere. It quickly turned into a place, that we visit every week.

We had the dumplings as starter and the miso ramen with egg. Everything was very delicious and well prepared. Service was also pretty good and the owner is such friendly and nice! I will be back more times :)

Lovely small location, small selection of high quality dishes. The food is a bit pricey (starter + ramen + toppings: egg and meat + drink was 30€) but the portions are big and it was very tasty. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

I had an excellent experience at Tokyo Cafe in Leipzig! The food was authentic Japanese and absolutely delicious. I enjoyed it so much that I visited the restaurant twice during my stay in the city. The standout dish for me was the miso-ramen, which was the best I've ever had. I also tried the Calpis soda, a unique drink with a sweet, tangy, and slightly creamy flavor profile that was really enjoyable. What made the experience even better was the owner's fantastic hospitality. She was a lovely person and made me feel welcome from the moment I stepped inside. We had a great chat, and it was clear that she genuinely cares about her customers. Overall, I highly recommend Tokyo Cafe to anyone looking for fantastic Japanese food in Leipzig. Yesterday, a friend and I went to have Dinner at Tokyo Cafe. We were seated inside and asked to switch to an outside table, assoon other guests would leave. As this was not the case, the owner herself took an extra table outside for us so we cold enjoy the warm summer night. Both the owner and her staff treated us in the kindest, loving way and the food was great, too! We had the Ramen Dinner Set and Mochi Ice as Dessert, which I both reccomend 100% :) Thank you for the lovely evening, see you soon xx

Authentic Ramen. Very tasty and delish. Staff were very nice, approachable and polite. They sell souvenirs in the shop. There’s a lot to choose from. Cute stuffs.

The most authentic Japanese food I’ve had in Germany- and I have lived in Japan so know a bit about it. Gyoza and karaage dishes were excellent. Friendly staff. The beer garden across the street is also well worth a visit- very chilled atmosphere.

The food is nice, the service is lovely and yuzu sekt is awesome. A bit expensive for such type of a restaurant and if you book alone, you get the worst seat :)

The main dishes were good but I did not like the matcha tiramisu and mochi.

When they started out I really loved the food and the prices were perfect. I get that through corona the had to raise prices to get through the month but to be honest, even tho the food is super authentic and delicous... my japanese friends I went with were right: It's too expensive now. I haven't been for such a long time because 19 Euro for a dish is just too much for a Restaurant in Leipzig, especially if it's just karaage!

It is a very nice restaurant and very cute owner. My drink also tates delicious. By the way, the owner served me wonderful japanese cookies as a present. It was very kind of her. I will absolutely come by again to eat something 😉

We had such a delightful evening. Be sure to book a table, the seating is limited, but the atmosphere is not at all cramped, but very relaxed. Staff was fun and friendly. The food was flavorful, fresh and delicious. Yuzu Gin Soda is recommended ;) and the matcha edamame Tiramisu was the dessert highlight. Thank you for a wonderful meal, we are looking forward to our next visit already.

It was like having a short trip to japan. You can really feel the authenticity of the food, the place and the people. The crispy chicken and the creamy eggplant were my favourite dishes. The Tiramisu Matcha was surely refreshing.
