One of the Excellent tourist Place in Bihar Mountain is about 700 ft high and approximately 0.25 Km.Mandar Hill is a great place of pilgrimage although it is not so well known now. On top of the hill are a Hindu and a Jain temple. The mountain has many references in hindu mythology known as mandarachal parvat. There is, adjacent to this hill, a pond called "Paapharni". This holy pond has its own historical significance. It is a place where you can revive yourself after taking a bath in the pond that refreshes mentally and physically. In the middle of the pond is a temple of lord Vishnu and goddess Laxmi. Very Fresh and Nice Place. I think, Your mind gets Fresh Over Here... Thank you ❤️☺️☺️☺️ 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

The pond at Mandar Hill is believed to be associated with the Chhath Puja, a prominent festival in Bihar. It's said that this pond holds mythological significance, as it's believed to be the spot where Lord Rama's wife, Sita, took a dip during her exile, and where she worshipped the sun god. During Chhath, devotees also perform rituals near water bodies like ponds, rivers, or lakes, and the Mandar Hill pond might hold similar importance for some worshippers during this festival.

Must visit Mandar Parwat or mandar hill is a historical place located near bounsi. It is one rock granite small mountain It's a holy place for Hindus and Jains There are a lot of places to visit and enjoy your holidays Mandar Parvat: It is about 5 Kms north of Bausi. The hill is about 700 Ft high. This hill is extremely sacred in the  Hindu Mythology. The Skand Puran records the history of the famous Amrit Manthan ( the churning of the ocean ). Due to this mythical association, the hill has assumed considerable religious significance and had been a place of pilgrimage up till now. Papharni: At the foot of the hill there is a tank called Papharni. From the vicinity of the tank three routes lead to the top of the hill. At the foot of the hill there are also a number of dilapidated, temples. In the middle of Papharni Tank, Mahavishnu, Mahalaxmi marvelous temple has been built. Several ruins of temples are present here. On the summit of the hill, two Jain Temples are situated. Large number of Jain Pilgrims come here to worship Lord Basupujya. It is believed that this place is Nirvan Bhumi of Basupujya. On the hill there many kunds ( Small Tank ). The depth of   the kund Akash Ganga and Sankh Kund in fine. Sita Kund among these is famous. Sinta Kund has been named after goddess Sita as she is believed to have taken bath here .

A holy place for worship in the banka district. Its approximately 50km from Bhagalpur. There is a pond called Papharni. In the very middle of the pond has a very beautiful Vishnu temple. There are stairs to climb all the way to the hilltop. On the top there are jain temples. There are a few ancient and a bit distorted stone carvings of different Gods on the way to the hill top. Construction of a ropeway is undergoing to ease the climb to top .

mythological significance Mandar mountain has great religious significance in Hinduism. It is believed that when the Gods and Asuras churned the ocean, the Mandar mountain was churned and the Vasuki Nag wrapped around it was used as a rope. Sharp ridges are still visible on the mountain, which remain at a distance of about six feet from each other. It looks like these are the tire marks of a car. These ridges do not appear to be man-made in any way. It is believed that these marks were made by the rubbing of Vasuki's body during the churning of the ocean. Whatever happened after the churning is a different story, but still the shape of a huge conch is situated in the conch-kund on top of the mountain. It is said that Lord Shiva drank poison from this Mahasankh. According to the Puranas, once two brothers named Madhu-Kaitabha were born from the filth of Lord Vishnu's ear. But gradually their fury increased so much that all the gods started eating fear from them. After the fury of both the brothers increased a lot, Lord Vishnu had to fight with them to finally eliminate them. In this also Vishnuji got upset in killing Madhu. After thousands of years of war, in the end, they beheaded him and buried him under the Mandar mountain, but pleased with his valor, he made the shape of his head on the mountain. This figure has become a sight for the devotees who come here.🥀🙏
