The theme is seen as a storyline around the entire place ... worth a visit

This is what happens when you clearly don't hire or seem to employ women. The food was fine (though not quite what we ordered). The beer was good. The general vibe was of a place trying just a little to hard to be "authentic" and also "cool," meaning the waiters really didn't have time to actually take your order and felt the need to "mansplain" what you should eat, then bring you something else entirely. It felt rushed, not because it was very busy but because the "monks" (bros in their 20s with Nikes and "robes") were just too "awesome" to actually be helpful. Also the old dude behind the bar seemed to indicate "we" don't need to wear masks in Saxony, in a continuing "bro" theme.

Really charming place! The staff are dressed as monks to keep up with the theme and even the water & wine are served in what looks like old brown pottery. Great choice of food! We had the pork spare ribs - they were really good

amazing atmosphere, delicious food and great beer!

Although the children wanted to go to the pizzeria and came to the restaurant angry, they left completely satisfied. Great cuisine, although the food is quite expensive, but it's really worth it. And great homemade beer (the kids didn't drink that).
